You can control your Sound Ordnance B-8PT powered subwoofer from the front seat with this remote control knob kit. This wired remote adjusts your amp's level from its set maximum volume all the way down to virtually "off." Since it adjusts the amp's level and not its bass boost, you'll hear consistent bass tone as you lower and raise the volume.

Pros: Easy install
Cons: No mounting points
Great bass knob, has clicks for adjustment
Neededa replacement for my sub, happy I could buy this part.
Pros: Direct replacement
exactly as advertised. worked perfectly
Nice quality little to big onLybie works with there amps
It didn't work on my old Rockford Fostgate amp. I plugged it in an the bass was always full volume. Ended up reselling it.
Pros: Knob feels nice and smooth with clicks. Compact in size to hide anywhere.
Cons: Doesn't work on older amp models.
I agree whole heartedly with the other review. It is indeed a knob, that turns the subwoofer gain up and down. It does this job quite well, almost like it was the only function it had to perform. The cable is sufficiently long (RJ11 phone line) that it can be run from trunk to drivers seat if required.
Pros: It does it's job well
Cons: To nitpick, I imagine it could be engineered to be smaller, but it's a good size. Smaller than a jeopardy buzzer, larger then a cricket.
This knob turns the subwoofer volume up AND down. It's truly amazing.
Pros: Turns it up. Turns it down.
Cons: Doesn't light up with LEDs or some other totally awesome but incredibly unnecesary thing.
Wired Remote Control: The B8PT Knob Kit puts control of your subwoofer output within easy reach. The remote can be mounted using the attached double sided tape or a self-tapping screw (not included). The dimensions are:
RJ-14 Connector: The remote includes a 14' RJ-14 cable which connects between the wired-remote knob and your compatible Sound Ordnance powered subwoofer.

I needed a replacement. I have this in my Jeep Wrangler center console, I wheel it pretty hard sometimes and the last knob just stopped working. [ David Mar 01, 2016 ]
Left my old Sound Ordnance remote wiring in a car I sold (kept the remote). Tried a standard phone cable (RJ-11) but it didn't light up OR adjust volume. Crutchfield Tech Support recommended this knob...all I needed was the cable, but for $10 this'll do. (Plus, I couldn't find a decent RJ14 cable anywhere...talk about outdated technology.) No. This knob is made as a replacement for the one that comes with the Sound Ordnance B-8PTD powered subwoofer only. If you need a replacement control for your Epicenter, you can use the AudioControl ACR-1: http://www.crutchfield.com/p_161ACR1/AudioControl-ACR-1.html?tp=3091 I hope that helps! I forwarded your question to an Advisor and they responded with the following: The 777B8PTKNB uses a slightly different size connector (RJ14) than the M-1350 amp (RJ25). I am not showing that we have a replacement knob for the 1350 available. Call in and speak with our tech support team and we can see if we can get one for you. If you would like to discuss further you can contact an Advisor directly by phone (1-800-324-9695) or online chat. [ Krissy Jan 20, 2015 ] Staff
This knob will not work with the M-2250. This is because the jack that is labeled remote on the M-2250 is not functional - so no remote will work with it. Sorry I don't have better news for you there. [ Jeff Oct 17, 2014 ] Staff
Can I connect this to my sound ordnance m-2250? [ jesse Aug 27, 2014 ]
I forwarded your question to an Advisor and they responded with the following: The Sound Ordnance B-8P is not compatible with a bass control knob at all. If you would like to discuss further you can contact an Advisor directly by phone (1-800-324-9695) or online chat. [ Krissy Mar 22, 2014 ] Staff
