Sound Ordnance's rugged Bass Bunker enclosures come built to last and ready to help your sub deliver real low-frequency firepower. These unloaded boxes feature high-grade, medium-density fiberboard construction, with sealed inner braces that help combat resonance by reducing vibrations. Rounded outside corners and recessed panels allow them to fit into more vehicles, while tough black carpeting defends against incoming nicks and scratches. Bass Bunkers make a great solution when building your own box is not an option.

The BB10-1V ported enclosure holds one 10" subwoofer and offers an internal volume of 1.2 cubic feet. Its large vents feature rounded inner corners that keep port noise to a minimum for more accurate response. Just add the right sub, amp, and wiring, then mount the enclosure securely, and you're ready to hit the road with some real bass artillery in your arsenal.

Warning: This enclosure does not include mounting hardware. If you're buying a sub from us, please check "What's in the Box?" to see if screws are included. If not, you should have an assortment of heavy-duty wood screws on hand for the installation.

Why do I need an enclosure?

An enclosure is simply the box that houses your sub; sealed and ported enclosures are the most popular types. A sealed enclosure is usually smaller in size, sacrificing a little volume level to deliver more accurate bass. The ported enclosure features a vent which allows bass waves to escape from behind the mounted sub, augmenting the bass coming off the front of the sub. Ported boxes are louder, bigger, and a little less accurate. Every sub works best in the size and type of enclosure that's recommended by the manufacturer, so make sure you match your sub with the right box.

Sound Ordnance™ Bass Bunker

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

Couldn't have found a better pre made box for my 10 inch Alpine type S. Made the bass deeper and louder. The only thing is that there is some port noise, however I can't hear it while in the driver's seat. I only hear it when I'm right next to the sub. Came with 2 sets of positive and negative terminals which makes wiring easier. Great product. I love it.

Pros: Sub fit perfectly Deeper bass Fairly priced Louder

Cons: Port noise

great for the price

nice soaker box built very good put a kicker 10 in it had to turn my sub down to -13 used to keep it at -2 takes up more space than I would like but it gives the sound I want

Cons: size

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

It sounded alright but not loud for the wattage. I had to get a box custom made for my Alpine Type R. It slams 2.... maybe 3 times as hard at the same wattage (actually had to check the gain to insure I didn't bump it up on accident.)

Pros: Nice look. Nice construction. Pretty solid. Connectors are the best, hard to find anything like that on custom boxes.

Cons: Not loud. Not a very good bang for buck. Only 5/8 MDF, Let Your Speakers Breath

Great box for a great price

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

I received the box rather quickly and was pleasantly surprised to find it made of very solid construction. I quickly mounted my sub into it, a 10" RE audio SEx v2 and put it to the test. This ported box moves some serious air. It obviously hits the lows better than higher bass but still, be it country, rock, or rap this box will deliver!

Pros: Very well constructed. Compact enough to fit in a lot of places

Cons: None that ive found yet

awesome quality

Cons: the only con I can think of is it was not free lol

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

I recently purchased 2 of these boxes to house a pair of Infinity Reference 1062 DVC's powered by 600.1 rms class d amp. I wanted to go for increased spl without spending a whole lot on the subs so I elected to go with the vented enclosure, and was not disappointed. The Reference 1062 had impressive numbers for their price being tested in a 1.75 cu. ft. vented enclosure. This is why I went with the slightly larger bass bunker at 1.2 cu. ft. They put out alot more bass than my 2 Infinity Kappa Perfect DVQ's that cost 3x as much and have twice as much power going to them only they are using a sealed box which was the recommended enclosure by the manufacturer with 1 cu. ft. per sub. If you can afford the space the lower tuning of the larger bass bunkers is well worth it.

Pros: Great sound, internal bracing, dual terminals, hatchback design, tuning level.

Cons: Would like to have seen 3/4" MDF rather than 5/8". 12 gauge copper wiring inside the enclosure would probably match what more people are running to the enclosure, but I'm sure what I assume to be 14 gauge aluminum wiring is probably more than enough to get the job done.
