About the Sound Ordnance™ Bass Bunker

Dominic DeVito
Sound Ordnance's rugged Bass Bunker enclosures come built to last and ready to help your sub deliver real low-frequency firepower. These unloaded boxes feature high-grade, medium-density fiberboard construction, with sealed inner braces that help combat resonance by reducing vibrations. Rounded outside corners and recessed panels allow them to fit into more vehicles, while tough black carpeting defends against incoming nicks and scratches. Bass Bunkers make a great solution when building your own box is not an option.

The BB102-125V vented enclosure holds two 10" subwoofers and offers an internal volume of 1.24 cubic feet per chamber. Its large vents feature rounded inner corners that keep port noise to a minimum for more accurate response. Just add the right subs, amp, and wiring, then mount the enclosure securely, and you're ready to hit the road with some real bass artillery in your arsenal.

Warning: This enclosure does not include mounting hardware. If you're buying a sub from us, please check "What's in the Box?" to see if screws are included. If not, you should have an assortment of heavy-duty wood screws on hand for the installation.

Features

Materials: The Sound Ordnance BB102-125V Bass Bunker is an unloaded, hatchback-style ported enclosure for two 10" subwoofers. It is constructed of 5/8" MDF (medium-density fiberboard), covered in black carpet.

Internal Box Volume: The enclosure has two separate chambers, each with 1.24 cubic feet of airspace.

Terminals: The BB102-125V is equipped with two pair of spring-post speaker terminals, one for each chamber, mounted in the rear panel. The spring terminals will accept bare wire up to 10 gauge, pin connectors, and single banana plugs, but are spaced too far apart for dual banana plugs. Inside the enclosure, each set of terminals has an attached 21" length of speaker wire for connecting the subwoofer.

Brackets: Brackets for securing the enclosure to your vehicle are recommended.

I'm afraid we don't have enough information available to determine sub box fitment in your '88 Jeep Wrangler. For more personalized assistance regarding your system setup, please contact an Advisor directly by phone (888.955.6000) or online chat.

Q
My sub says it need 33hz but this box is 36 hz that's not much different would it still sound good?

A
Yes. The ported box will allow for lower frequencies. I run 2 10 inch Rockfords in this box and it gets pretty low. It should work fine for yours.

Not a big difference at all I think it sounds great no issues

Will this fit into a 2007 GMC Sierra Crew Cab with a New Body Type?
tim  Dec 17, 2014
1 answer
A
I'm not 100% sure about that. I have mine in an Colorado Ext. Cab. It doesn't allow me to scoot my seat all the way back, but i don't need that much leg room. It fits nicely and I have mine firing upwards allowing a little more air flow. Doing this gave the lower bass notes some nice vibrations on me head. I did have to sacrifice a back seat tho.

Q
can i fit this in a ford f150 xlt supercrew?
jacob  Jan 12, 2014
2 answers
A
If supercrew means an ext. Cab where you can fit passengers in the back seat then it will fit. Ive had to sacrifice my back seats for the box but it was worth it. Hopes this helped.
michael  Jan 13, 2014
A
I have a 97 Chevy 1500 extended cab you can't really fit people back there so I sat this box on top of the seat. I'm pretty positive it can fit. But I've never owned a ford.
