Sound Ordnance's rugged Bass Bunker enclosures come built to last and ready to help your sub deliver real low-frequency firepower. These unloaded boxes feature high-grade, medium-density fiberboard construction, with sealed inner braces that help combat resonance by reducing vibrations. Rounded outside corners and recessed panels allow them to fit into more vehicles, while tough black carpeting defends against incoming nicks and scratches. Bass Bunkers make a great solution when building your own box is not an option.

The BB102-125V vented enclosure holds two 10" subwoofers and offers an internal volume of 1.24 cubic feet per chamber. Its large vents feature rounded inner corners that keep port noise to a minimum for more accurate response. Just add the right subs, amp, and wiring, then mount the enclosure securely, and you're ready to hit the road with some real bass artillery in your arsenal.

Warning: This enclosure does not include mounting hardware. If you're buying a sub from us, please check "What's in the Box?" to see if screws are included. If not, you should have an assortment of heavy-duty wood screws on hand for the installation.

Product Highlights:

  • ported hatchback style enclosure for two 10" subwoofers
  • 5/8" MDF (medium-density fiberboard) with black carpet covering
  • cutout size: 9-1/4"
  • internal volume:1.24 cubic feet per chamber
  • dimensions: 32-3/4"W x 14-3/8"H x 14-1/4"D1 x 11-1/8"D2
  • warranty: 1 year
  • Our 60-day money-back guarantee

Why do I need an enclosure?

An enclosure is simply the box that houses your sub; sealed and ported enclosures are the most popular types. A sealed enclosure is usually smaller in size, sacrificing a little volume level to deliver more accurate bass. The ported enclosure features a vent which allows bass waves to escape from behind the mounted sub, augmenting the bass coming off the front of the sub. Ported boxes are louder, bigger, and a little less accurate. Every sub works best in the size and type of enclosure that's recommended by the manufacturer, so make sure you match your sub with the right box.

Good Sub Box at an Economy Price

Written By unBALAnced, Bay Area, CA on Monday, September 14, 2015

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

I purchased this Sound Ordnance Ported Sub Box because I had 2 10" Focal subs that wasn't being used and I did not want to build one or spend too much money for a sub box. Since Crutchfield had a great deal on an "Open Box", I went ahead and ordered it. When I received it, I was glad that I did because not only did I receive this large, heavy box, I received it undamaged. The sub box itself was bigger than I thought it would be and it is heavy (empty). I have read other reviews about this Sound Ordnance box not being built strong enough and I think that is bull. This box is solid. It seems like it has 3/4" MDF even without the carpet. I don't think I could have built a box this good for what Crutchfield charged me for it. I did not give it 5 stars only because of its weight. I really can't tell if there is a big difference in sound compared to a non-ported box so I won't comment on that, but if you need a good solid ported sub box, the Sound Ordnance boxes is the way to go.

Pros: Strong and solid sub box, Great price

Cons: Big and Heavy

Perfect for Power Acoustic Gothics

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

I purchased this box after shopping for hours to find a box tuned near 35 Hz...this box is tuned at 36Hz which is close...closer than any other box I found on the net. It has very unique vents and nice braces. The braces feel as if they are just glued on but its better than no braces. My subs are 1000 watt RMS and I just switched them from a cheapo sealed box that was tuned at lord knows what this and wow...There was such a huge difference. The low notes are slamming now and I could barely hear them in the sealed box. This box is exactly what I was looking for.

Pros: Tuned at 35Hz, Unique ports/vents. Nice clean carpet edges that I could find. Pro job there. Recessed sides for added support and makes it easy to handle. Decent spring loaded connectors. 2.48 cubic foot of air space...Large for 2 tens. Check your speaker specs first.

Cons: I couldn't really find anything. It works...and does it well.

Fantastic enclosure!

Fantastic enclosure. Fits perfectly in the tiny backseat of my extended cab canyon and still allows one seat to be usable.

Pros: Great sound, wonderful bass

Cons: definitely not for the tiny backseat of a truck but it works!

I'm so impressed with this box. I normally don't write reviews, but this box is off the chain! I have two kenwood's with 300 rms and they sound like they are 750 rms each! Couldn't be happier with this box!

Pros: Small, built well, nice design and carpet, LOUD!

Cons: None

great addition

Great box! Includes hookups to subs, just need some connectors! Good density and no rattle. It's long but not much taller than the subs themselves, great buy!

Pros: Good quality, easy sub install

Cons: No connectors

Very good box for the price

Pros: Very well constructed, packaging was above average. overall happy with the sound. Good looking box.

Cons: Just a bit to boomy compared to my sealed boxes that i had prior. Still much more responsive than my other aplications.

Awesome Product

These boxes are top notch. Haven't used anything else since I first bought one. Very well put together and sterdy. Have never had any issues I would recommend to any one 100 times over.

Pros: Heavy duty, quality is great. And the pre wired sub connections great great idea. Makes installation a breeze.

Look elsewhere

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

I know there are a lot of good reviews on this but consider mine, bottom line the split is terrible to thin and not sealed causing speakers to fight each other for air this is not good for subs. Even after more silicone and undercoating they still fight due to wood being so thin. And don't be fooled by the support braces they are just glued by wood glue not screwed in like they should be. It's a very cheap box and only good thing is the multi colored carpet looks nice. Trust me not a good box look up the brand r/t and ground shaker much much better.

Pros: Nice carpet Unique ports

Cons: Cheap connectors Way to thin Split wall isn't sealed causing speakers to move one another.

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

This box blew me away with the sound it produces. I have two Alpine Type E subwoofers and an Alpine amp and this box really let's them pound. I can really tell the difference from the sealed enclosure I had them in to this ported box. I you're looking for a car vibrating experience then I'd definitely look into buying this box.

Pros: Seems to be well-made and sturdy.

Cons: Nothing yet.

Top Notch Sub box. I hooked this up with my pair of Polk Audio 10" subs. Sounds amazing. I like the deep bass and the tuning on this sub box. Scratch and dent saved me a few buck too. Over all i would definetly recomend any Sound Ordance sub box to anybody.

Pros: Everything

Construction quality excellent- easy connections for speakers and amp- sound emitted from speakers from box superb

Pros: Heavy quality construction allows box to be placed in trunk without having to bolt or strap down- Does not move with emission of sound

Cons: Could consider an access panel in the rear to allow repair to speaker wires if they fall off

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

This is a pretty good ported box for a dual setup. Obviously, a custom box to manufacture specs is better but more costly and requires a level of skill and tools many don't posses.

Pros: Nice sturdy and thick MDF Sealed well Helps put out some good sound Size

Cons: Logo on the corner

Overall excellent box!

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

Overall excellent box! The build quality is superb, a little on the heavy side though. But that doesn't matter really. Very easy install as well! But I was upset on the actual sealing on the inside of the box. Very sloppy, spots were missed, and the more difficult spots were just flat out skipped. On one side, they completely missed the corner where the two pieces came together, actually going off further towards the center of the wood! Not a huge deal though, this was an easy fix!

Pros: Excellent quality, easy to install, durable.

Cons: Sealing was very sloppy and inconsistent, had to pretty much do it myself! Don't let it discourage you though, as it's an easy fix!

Great Sound!

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

Greatly Built box that helps the bass from your subs sub-stain. If you like your bass to sound a lot more loose and "wobble" buy this box rather than the sealed version. I did't read the measurements correctly and lost both of my back seats in my Ext. Cab so double check the measurements if you have a smaller truck.

Pros: Greatly built and durable.

Cons: A little on the heavy side but its durability makes up for it.

great A+ box, i have kicker comp 10s and they compliment each other be

Great for Cadence S2's

Written By Ben S, Searcy, AR on Saturday, January 05, 2013

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

These truly are great boxes as long as your subs specs are close to what they were built at. I bought one for a single Treo RSX 12.22 and it was great. Now I bought this dual 10' for two Cadence S2 subs and holy cow, they will beat your trunk to death if you want spl but they can be very smooth and precise if you tune it for sq. Overall if you can't afford a custom box or don't want to bother making your own these are the best option available. The build quality is fantastic and the sound is amazing to say the least.

Pros: Price, quality, sound, tuning

Cons: As long as you aren't expecting it to perform like a custom enclosure built specifically for your subs none

Cons: Should have had rounded corners to make getting it in small trunks easier

The box was a perfect size for my Toyota Solara Coupe, fit in the trunk like it was meant to be there.

Pros: The port is awesome, not your typical round hole in the middle or the side. Sounds great and hits harder than a comparable sealed ones.

Cons: Some 10" Sub woofers wont fit, like higher end ones, because they are slightly bigger diameter than 10"
