Sound Ordnance's rugged Bass Bunker enclosures come built to last and ready to help your sub deliver real low-frequency firepower. These unloaded boxes feature high-grade, medium-density fiberboard construction, with sealed inner braces that help combat resonance by reducing vibrations. Rounded outside corners and recessed panels allow them to fit into more vehicles, while tough black carpeting defends against incoming nicks and scratches. Bass Bunkers make a great solution when building your own box is not an option.

The BB122-100S sealed enclosure holds two 12" subwoofers and offers an internal volume of 1.03 cubic feet per chamber. Just add the right subs, amp, and wiring, then mount the enclosure securely, and you're ready to hit the road with some real bass artillery in your arsenal.

Warning: This enclosure does not include mounting hardware. If you're buying a sub from us, please check "What's in the Box?" to see if screws are included. If not, you should have an assortment of heavy-duty wood screws on hand for the installation.

Product Highlights:

  • sealed hatchback style enclosure for two 12" subwoofers

  • cutout size: 11-1/16"
  • internal volume: 1.03 cubic feet per chamber

Why do I need an enclosure?

An enclosure is simply the box that houses your sub; sealed and ported enclosures are the most popular types. A sealed enclosure is usually smaller in size, sacrificing a little volume level to deliver more accurate bass. The ported enclosure features a vent which allows bass waves to escape from behind the mounted sub, augmenting the bass coming off the front of the sub. Ported boxes are louder, bigger, and a little less accurate. Every sub works best in the size and type of enclosure that's recommended by the manufacturer, so make sure you match your sub with the right box.

12" sealed bass bunker

Decent enclosure for the money my subs hit hard and the box doesn't rattle.

Pros: Good for the money, budget consciousness, solid we'll built enclosure, doesn't take up too much space in the back of my SUV.

Cons: The carpeting was not quite the quality I'm used to from older enclosures I've had before but again it's a budget minded box.

I love this box. It not only looks and works great but it's easy to setup. The only bad thing is there is nowhere on the box for it to vent. But it's great.

2nd box I have purchased through crutchfield. Works perfect, I have 2 RE audio sex 12's and this box is built to the manufacturers specs. 3 Day shipping to ca was a big reason why i went with this box. Built perfect - not cheap. I would purchase again.

Pros: 3 Day shipping, built strong out of nice material.

Cons: Had to make the holes bigger, my subs were slightly bigger than 12"

Not Bad

Worth the money I suppose. Just not crazy about compressed wood, easy to mess up! Put two Infinity Kappa 12's in and they fit perfect, sounds pretty good. Binding posts are descent, internal wiring is to small (14-16awg), changed it to a good true 12awg. Other than that, seems like a good build and quality box. Also almost impossible to put t-nuts in, slant the woofer to make all fit, careful not to strip putting screws in, very hard to get in space to hammer down. Good luck, I gave up on the second one..!

Pros: Good build and seal

Cons: Compressed sawdust and small internal wiring for 12" box

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

Solid box. The mounting holes are a little close together but the kickers I put in fit fine. I don't recommend inverting it tends to topple over while driving.

Pros: Comes completely assembled

Cons: Needs a wider bottom for more stability if you want to mount your subs with magnets out

Great box...

Written by: Andrew from Maine on December 12, 2011

Box simply would not work. The space between the two speaker holes is way too small. There is less then an inch of space between the cutouts rendering this box useless with most 12 inch subs. The speakers overlap making it impossible to mount. Had to send it back, what a waste of time.

Pros: Was not able to use.

Really Nice Box

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

I bought it scratch and dent for 67$ the dent was not noticeable and was hard to find. Great quality gold push connectors with wires pre-installed and stripped. The box construction is of dense particle wood, not real cheap stuff from home depot.
