Sound Ordnance's rugged Bass Bunker enclosures come built to last and ready to help your sub deliver real low-frequency firepower. These unloaded boxes feature high-grade, medium-density fiberboard construction, with sealed inner braces that help combat resonance by reducing vibrations. Rounded outside corners and recessed panels allow them to fit into more vehicles, while tough black carpeting defends against incoming nicks and scratches. Bass Bunkers make a great solution when building your own box is not an option.

The BB122-125V ported enclosure holds two 12" subwoofers and offers an internal volume of 1.36 cubic feet per chamber. Its large vents feature rounded inner corners that keep port noise to a minimum for more accurate response. Just add the right subs, amp, and wiring, then mount the enclosure securely, and you're ready to hit the road with some real bass artillery in your arsenal.

Warning: This enclosure does not include mounting hardware. If you're buying a sub from us, please check "What's in the Box?" to see if screws are included. If not, you should have an assortment of heavy-duty wood screws on hand for the installation.

Product Highlights:

  • ported hatchback style enclosure for two 12" subwoofers
  • 5/8" MDF (medium-density fiberboard) with black carpet covering
  • cutout size: 11-1/16"
  • internal volume: 1.36 cubic feet per chamber
  • dimensions: 32-3/4"W x 14-3/8"H x 14-3/8"D1 x 11-1/4"D2
  • warranty: 1 year
  • Our 60-day money-back guarantee

Why do I need an enclosure?

An enclosure is simply the box that houses your sub; sealed and ported enclosures are the most popular types. A sealed enclosure is usually smaller in size, sacrificing a little volume level to deliver more accurate bass. The ported enclosure features a vent which allows bass waves to escape from behind the mounted sub, augmenting the bass coming off the front of the sub. Ported boxes are louder, bigger, and a little less accurate. Every sub works best in the size and type of enclosure that's recommended by the manufacturer, so make sure you match your sub with the right box.

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

This is a bang for your buck definitely a good investment for your car... I highly recommend this if you want a good setup for your subwoofers. It rattled the interior in My Mustang so much the rearview Mirror popped out of place I was glad it didn't break though but I'm very happy with My Box. I wish I could have the subs pointing to the front of the car instead of the back if there is a way to do it on an 05 Mustang V6 that would be great to know!

Pros: Everything....Nice structure on the inside, Fine Quality wood, Clean black carpet, Triangular ports, back terminals are nice as well.

Cons: Only that I could not have My subs facing the front but still an outstanding box.

Subwoofer Box

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

Box came with no damage easy to install in. Spec meet what are listed on website. Terminals are not to bad for the price. Carpet does not have any flaws. workmen ship is excellent overall. Box is much lighter then I expected. I would not recommend change subwoofers in and out of this box to many time as it will not hold up. overall for the price and free shipping it is hard to beat. Perfect Hz and Cubic feet for 12 inch Alpine type-S subwoofers.

Pros: Built well, Nice terminals, Nice carpet

Cons: Light weight will not last multiple speaker changes

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

When I first installed it I was skeptical about the way it sounded. I had a previous single woofer box that went deeper in bass than this box. But after some tweaking and fine tuning it, I got this box to go as low as the other one, and louder. I still have some way to go to finally set the amp and receiver to get the most of this box. Overall the box is well constructed, not too big, does not occupy much space, and for the price, you can't go wrong with this one. I received quickly, considering that I'm in the Caribbean. And yes, I recommend this box.

Pros: Well constructed box. Not too big. Very nice price. Tight solid bass.

Cons: If you are looking for lower tuning, go for the bigger box.

i have 2 dual 10" versions of this box and i wanted to add 2 12"s so i picked this up, once again it is made perfectly and feels heavy duty, the connectors are all convenient to use and the box makes such a great sound. i thought the 4 10"s in a hatchback was wild, this just put my car over the top! well done sound ordnance, i display your sticker with pride.

Pros: construction, cost, look, feel, sound, i love it

Cons: none whatsoever.

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

I had the pioneer tsw309d2 in a sealed box in the trunk of my challenger not much bass. I ordered this box from Crutchfield and you wouldn't believe the difference. I had to turn my amp gain back. I'm probably running gain about 10 percent and it is some loud bass. This box is exactly what I was lookin for, you will not be disappointed with this purchase.

Pros: Great box, great price, great customer service.

Cons: None

No where disapointed

Although I haven't gotten to install the subs I bought for this enclosure yet due to a future install date, I am very happy with this purchase. The overall structure of the box is far better than I've seen from any friends and the reinforced walls is what does it. I hope to get my system up soon then I can give a full review

Great Enclosure

Written by: Daniel from San Antonio, Texas on June 26, 2011

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

First off, let me start by saying that this was my first purchase from Crutchfield.

I needed a good enclosure to replace my old single 12" sealed enclosure, on which the rear wire inputs became loose and were lighting on fire. I went to Best Buy prior to landing on Crutchfield. The enclosures there sucked!! They were either $150+ or you had to assemble them yourself.

After a little bit of research, and help from the wonderful people at Crutchfield, I landed on this bad boy.

Because the sides of the enclosure were separated, it allowed me to put my old Sony XPlod sub on one side and still use it while I waited to get money for a second one.

By going from a SEALED enclosure to a PORTED enclosure, I noticed an incredible gain of booming bass! Later, I added another Sony XPlod sub, and OH MAN you can hear me coming from a mile away.

I have owned this product for about a year now, and I can tell you with confidence that it has exceeded my expectations in terms of durability and longevity. No components are even close to becoming loose.

One more thing before I end this review - This thing is HEAVY. Heavy in a good way though. Not like, dragging your trunk on the ground or lowering your rear end heavy. With my old sub enclosure, I had to use a heavy duty stapler to staple industrial strength velcro to it. On this one, It's weight keeps it from sliding all over my trunk!

I purchased this 12" subwoofer enclosure and I am completely satisfied. First, I love its size--it is not too large like some of the other enclosures. It fit right into my 2007 altima with ease--I was able to tug it right behind the seat. The dimensions were good enough to allow my 12" kenwoods to punch out tight quality bass. Thanks to everyone at Crutchfield I am customer for life.
