Overview

Our take on the Sound Ordnance™ Bass Bunker

Sound Ordnance's rugged Bass Bunker enclosures come built to last and ready to help your sub deliver real low-frequency firepower. These unloaded boxes feature high-grade, medium-density fiberboard construction, with sealed inner braces that help combat resonance by reducing vibrations. Rounded outside corners and recessed panels allow them to fit into more vehicles, while tough black carpeting defends against incoming nicks and scratches. Bass Bunkers make a great solution when building your own box is not an option.

The BB15-150S sealed enclosure holds one 15" subwoofer and offers an internal volume of 1.57 cubic feet. Just add the right sub, amp, and wiring, then mount the enclosure securely, and you're ready to hit the road with some real bass artillery in your arsenal.

Warning: This enclosure does not include mounting hardware. If you're buying a sub from us, please check "What's in the Box?" to see if screws are included. If not, you should have an assortment of heavy-duty wood screws on hand for the installation.

Was going to build a box but decided this was cheap enough that why delay the bass?

Was going to build a box but decided this was cheap enough that why delay the bass?

Pros: Works perfect with the 15" punch.

Cons: None, big box but I have plenty of room with quad cab.

This box is well built and comes well packaged. It fit my sub with no problems what so ever. It's a good size, doesn't take up too much space. Probably the easiest way to enclose a component sub. I am satisfied with this product.

Pros: Well built Easy to install Not too big Comes wired already High quality

Cons: None so far

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

The box itself is fantastic, lots of reinforcements, and thick MDF. However, the terminal cup installed is flimsy, and the plastic broke during install. Easy fix though.

Pros: Solidly built box, covering is good quality. Came free with a sub.

Cons: Flimsy terminal cup

Solid box

Solid ready to go box. The supports really make it a solid box. Would definitely buy it again.

Pros: Solid ready to go box

Cons: None

Great box i really looked around for a box of descent size for my small car which barely had space for the box it already had and this box gave me two times the space to setup my amps and capacitor

Pros: Small box , great bass

Cons: None

How this box withstands the vibrations the 15" puts out is awesome. Compact and looks good after install

Pros: Durable and compact

Cons:

good but could have been better

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

It was screwed/glued/stapled together well. But the air-tight sealing inside the the box was not. No sealant around the round plastic terminal housing. And there were 2 other spots I had to seal also. Not to mention (but I am) two more spots that were not sealed that I could not get to. Good job on the carpetting, but does make it a little difficult to mark where to drill for screw holes. Haven't listenned to it yet, but will update this review once I have. Installed in/on it is a S/O 15" with a S/O 2x175W amp. I just hope I got it air-tight enough.

Pros: solid, good carpetting.

Cons: could be sealed better, maybe use heavier gauge wire inside.

Great Space Saving Sub Box for 15" Sub

Mojo from WI on 4/30/2013

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

I purchased this sub box for the Polk Audio Semi Shallow 15" Sub from Crutchfield. This box was the exact recommended inside sq footage for a sealed enclosure, and I am very happy with the space it saves, considering it is a 15" Subwoofer enclosure.

Pros: Excellent build quality. Space saving 15" enclosure. Internal wiring ready for immediate sub hookup.

Cons: Nono

Good box but nothing to compare it to

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

well built box. This replaced my old S/O 10" ported box. This box is fine if you like a sealed box, I prefer a ported box myself. Unfortunately a 15: ported box was not offered or available from Crutchfield. All in all, no complaints for what it is.

Pros: Well constructed and is rather aesthetic.

Cons: My Alpine type S screw holes barely had enough room to attach to the box.

We do not have a ported 15" subwoofer box. I wish I had different news for you there. If we ever get one, it will be in this section of our web page. My Bio: http://www.crutchfield.com/Support/Bio.aspx?bio=101 [ Paul  Sep 19, 2016 ]  Staff
14ga if memory serves. It is more than adequate for the 500w i run through it daily. [ Anthony  Dec 02, 2015 ]
I don't remember exactly, it was fairly small gauge. I replaced it and soldered the connection. Only took a few minutes and is much more secure. Hope this helps. [ KEVIN  Dec 01, 2015 ]
