Sound Ordnance's rugged Bass Bunker enclosures come built to last and ready to help your speakers deliver real firepower. These unloaded boxes feature high-grade, medium-density fiberboard construction, with sealed inner braces that help combat resonance by reducing vibrations. Rounded outside corners and recessed panels allow them to fit into more vehicles, while tough black carpeting defends against incoming nicks and scratches.

Sound Ordnance's rugged Bass Bunker enclosures come built to last and ready to help your speakers deliver real firepower. Rounded outside corners and recessed panels allow them to fit into more vehicles, while tough black carpeting defends against incoming nicks and scratches.

The BB692-T truck-style enclosures are a great alternative if you can't install your 6"x9"s in the factory speaker openings in your car or truck. Each enclosure holds a single 6"x9" speaker and offers an internal volume of 0.17 cubic feet. And at 6-1/8" deep, they'll fit behind the seats in almost any truck.

Warning: This enclosure does not include mounting hardware. If you're buying a sub from us, please check "What's in the Box?" to see if screws are included. If not, you should have an assortment of heavy-duty wood screws on hand for the installation.

Q
Do these enclosures help with bass production? Everything I've read is mixed -enclosures kill bass, enclosures tighten bass, enclosures don't do anything. Thought I'd ask folks who own the things.

You may want to discuss your goals and preferences with an advisor by calling 1-800-324-9695 to get a personal recommendation on how best to get the sound you seek.

No, they just take the place of speaker mounts in older trucks and cars

So from my personal experience with these i used them because my vehicle at the time only had two speakers in it and i wanted a set of 6x9s but i can say that yes it will improve bass some, but not going to be an outrageous difference, the reason it will improve bass is because the door panels in cars arnt made for the actual sound quality, produced by the woofer, it creates a box for it that is made to create those sounds, so yes it will improve it, and like you stated in your question it will make the bass tighter because its going from a free air scenario to a sealed enclosure, but overall it depends on the speaker and what that specific speaker is designed for, what hzs that speaker is meant to hit, but it will for sure clean up the sound from what it would do in a door panel like rattle the panel or the excess sound waves bouncing off of the door itself, i hope this helped and if you decide to get this product id love to hear what it ended up doing in your case

You don't get any bass to talk about with these. You'll need a sub if you want bass. I needed small to fit the space.

Good for rock and country not rap

Q
will these boxes fit behind the seat of my 1993 toyota pickup with no extended cab?
druligator  Feb 01, 2018

A
You would have to measure your space behind the seats but if I remember correctly, its going to be a snug fit. Speakers may sit right up to the backside of your seats so you might feel the sound more than hear it. I bought them for the rear seat area of a 65 VW bug convertible. Good luck!

I honestly don't know. They fit behind in my 83 C 10. Sorry

I'm not sure. I bought these for my Ford F-350 1 ton single cab. They fit behind the bench seat with it all the way back. I don't know how much room is in your jump seat area.

They will ,but if you have long legs like me they will be almost against you seat but the good part about that is if you have good subs and plenty of power to push them then what you have is a built in back massager

jamie a  Sep 29, 2014

They should fit behind the seats (standing up). But these guys are kinda bulky. But make sure when you do buy it, YOU BUY 2! What I thought was a great deal was a bust, cuz it only ended up buying 1 vs a pair...
