Sound Ordnance's rugged Bass Bunker enclosures come built to last and ready to help your speakers deliver real firepower. These unloaded boxes feature high-grade, medium-density fiberboard construction, with sealed inner braces that help combat resonance by reducing vibrations. Rounded outside corners and recessed panels allow them to fit into more vehicles, while tough black carpeting defends against incoming nicks and scratches.
The BB692-T truck-style enclosures are a great alternative if you can't install your 6"x9"s in the factory speaker openings in your car or truck. Each enclosure holds a single 6"x9" speaker and offers an internal volume of 0.17 cubic feet. And at 6-1/8" deep, they'll fit behind the seats in almost any truck.
Warning: This enclosure does not include mounting hardware. If you're buying a sub from us, please check "What's in the Box?" to see if screws are included. If not, you should have an assortment of heavy-duty wood screws on hand for the installation.
An enclosure is simply the box that houses your sub; sealed and ported enclosures are the most popular types. A sealed enclosure is usually smaller in size, sacrificing a little volume level to deliver more accurate bass. The ported enclosure features a vent which allows bass waves to escape from behind the mounted sub, augmenting the bass coming off the front of the sub. Ported boxes are louder, bigger, and a little less accurate. Every sub works best in the size and type of enclosure that's recommended by the manufacturer, so make sure you match your sub with the right box.
good solid build
Pros: good quality
Very good fit and finish, a quality box
Pros: Looks nice, good quality, good price
Cons: Limits the seat travel to the rear just a bit in a 83 single cab Chevy pickup
Very quality made speaker boxes. I have a 80s chevy truck and they fit perfect behind the seat. Great product.
I used these to add speakers to my camper. They are well built and will last for a long time. They made the speakers sound great.
Pros: Pre-wired spring terminals, sealed
Quality product at an affordable price! Definitely worth the money, if you are looking for a durable box.
Pros: Sturdy built boxes with good finish work. They look really nice. Good sound quality. I did have to put some fill inside the boxes though to keep some of the bass from resonating.
Cons: none. I'm happy with this purchase!
These things sound great. Built right and very sturdy!
Great box for the price. Fit great in my 79 c10.
I know they list the dimensions for these things on the website, but I still didn't get a good picture in my head of how compact these enclosures actually are. I could probably fit ten of them behind my bench seat, so it leaves plenty of room to spare for storage, an amp, or sub down the line if I want to go that route. They are built like tanks, and are much higher quality than their price implies. I also like the generous length wires built into the enclosure as well as the easy to use connectors on the back for hooking in the wires from the head unit.
Pros: + Compact size + Very sturdy + Gives amazing low end sound
I was expecting thin mdf materials and boy that couldn't be further from the reality. Very well constructed and nice fit and finish. They sit perfectly behind my seat of my standard cab 94 Chevy PU. They have enough weight they don't fly around the back of the seat. Value for money is exceptional. I put Sound Ord. P-69's in them and are powered by a low end Sony Explode single din head unit.
Pros: Great fit and finish. Can use 12 gauge speaker wire to them without a connector or adapter.
Cons: None that I can think of for me. You will have to supply your own spade connectors to the 6x9 speaker you intend to use. This wasn't a problem for me as my new speakers came with them which I also ordered from Crutchfield.
I wanted some 6x9 in my corvette without cutting up the car. These boxes worked perfect, nice sound from my alpine 6x9 in my corvette, also I can take them in and out with ease.
Pros: perfect for my corvette for installing 6x9
They are well made and fit behind the seat of my regular cab 2000 Silverado.
Pros: well made with nice felt covering.
Cons: Nothing wrong with the product, but I may need to add some deadening material to the inside to eliminate some resonance issues.
These speaker boxes were heavy duty studio quality with gold plated connectors and top build level finish. I was impressed with the looks but the sound is what really sold me on the purchase.
These boxes fit my 6 x 9 speakers perfectly and look great wrapped in the black carpet. They are also pretty lightweight as to not add to much weight in the trunk of my car. The only downside is that I wanted to place them flat and the wires come out the back making it where I had to make a tiny adjustment to stop the wired from being too crimped.
Pros: Price Fit Look
Great speaker boxes and a great price. Very fast shipping.
I wanted boxes that were both easy to move and built with integrity that I expect from all Crutchfield products. These boxes work perfectly I get both deep sound with no unwanted vibrations and the ability to move them to project outward for tailgating Brewers games.
Pros: Solid construction, allows me to utilize 6x9 speakers in my ford escape. Heavy enough to place on their sides without worrying about them falling over if bumped.
Cons: I wish they had 5-way binding posts. I just used pin clip banana plugs which do the job just as well. The set comes in a pair I wish they would put the sound ordinance logo which is embroidered in a mirrored fashion for more symmetrical aesthetics when they are placed on their sides.
Great solution for 6x9 install. The prewired cabinet and quality of construction make this a no-brainer. If you value your time and want to listen to your system within minutes of the delivery truck leaving your driveway, this is the set up for you.
Pros: Ease of install, quality of construction, SOUND
Cons: Silly logo makes this less discrete and is prominently located on the top front. Make this go away and I can't find a fault.
In a 92 S10 Standard Cab. These boxes are nicer than the picture. Put some Kicker CS Series 6x9's in them they sound great. The terminals on the back are great and high quality not some cheap plastic stuff they put plenty of wire inside the box also especially if your using adapting wire that comes with your speakers.
Pros: High Quality Everything, Sticker Included :)
Fits under my truck seat does not get in the way of anything pretty good size.
6x9 box, what more can you ask for? Needed a box to mount rear speakers in my 2011 F-150.
Well made good finish
Pros: Easy install
Cons: No mounting hardware
Needed some thing small to fit behind the seat of my Chevy luv. Look good and were priced right? Good simple way to install speakers.
Fits behind my Truck seats like they were customized to fit.
Works just as intended, does not come with any box or speaker mounting hardware so that would have been nice
These boxes were well constructed of good materials. They look very nice on the back seat partition of my '56 Chevy (no back seat). The speakers also sound great in them. I would recommend these to anyone looking for a quality 6X9 box.
Pros: Well made, look and sound good
Fit nicely behind the seat in a regular cab truck, although I would have gladly traded the cheap plastic "dogtag" & sticker for having the connectors already in place on the inside wires like my old q logic boxes had.
Pros: solid construction
Cons: no spade connectors on inside wires
These fit great in a 92 Toyota pickup regular cab. They look really good, sound quality is great from my speakers mounted inside. What more can I say they do their job and do it well.
Pros: Look, Fit, Finish
Although they are too tall to stand upright, they work just as well by laying them on their sides. I have never figured out what kind of connectors there are in the back, so I rigged my own to fit them. The instructions were fairly good, except for this.
great build quality and look great
high quality boxes, look good.
I mounted 6 x 9 Alpines in these and put them behind the seat of a regular cab Dakota, the fit
was perfect and when powered by a 60 watt x 2 Kenwood amp they produced impresssive
bass,I highly recommend.
Great boxes! built well, Sounds great. No complaints.
Fit very nicely on rear wheel wells in my old 1981 Jeep CJ. Great product. Easy to install
Opened these up and right away you see what you paid for. Much better than all 6x9
boxes ive seen in my area in local stereo shops. Wont regret it. Quality. enough said.

I would think so they fit behind the seat of my love just barely. [ PETER Oct 16, 2014 ]
They will ,but if you have long legs like me they will be almost against you seat but the good part about that is if you have good subs and plenty of power to push them then what you have is a built in back massager [ CECIL H Sep 30, 2014 ]
Should fit .nice sound and nice looks [ JAMIE A Sep 29, 2014 ]
They should fit behind the seats (standing up). But these guys are kinda bulky. But make sure when you do buy it, YOU BUY 2! What I thought was a great deal was a bust, cuz it only ended up buying 1 vs a pair... [ ARN Sep 29, 2014 ]
