Give your music some firepower

Your vehicle's interior is like an audio battlefield with your music fighting to get heard over the noises of the wind and road. Sound Ordnance's M100-2 2-channel amplifier can provide 110 watts RMS to each channel — more than enough power to overcome all the sonic enemies of clean, loud music.

Versatility

You can bridge the M100-2 for 1-channel operation to run a subwoofer with 200 watts RMS. A low-pass filter and adjustable bass boost allow you to control the bass tone at will. For your full-range speakers, an adjustable high-pass filter makes sure they operate within their optimum range and give you the best tone possible.

This amp's tiny size lets you fit it almost anywhere in a vehicle. Its tough construction, rugged looks, and 3-year warranty ensure you will enjoy the full power of your music for the long haul. Even better, you can add this Sound Ordnance amplifier to your arsenal at a great price.

Features

Power Ratings: The Sound Ordnance M100-2 is a 2-channel Class D amplifier with an RMS power rating of 110 watts per channel into 4 ohms, and 140 watts per channel into 2 ohms. The amp can also be bridged into a 4-ohm load for a power rating of 200 watts (x 1). Power ratings are measured with an input power of 13.6 volts.

Crossovers: The built-in crossover can be set to high-pass, low-pass, or full range. The crossover point is continuously variable from 50 to 750 Hz and the slope is 12dB per octave.

Bass Boost: The Bass EQ (bass boost) is continuously variable from 0 to +12 dB and is centered at 45 Hz.

LED Indicators: There are two LED indicators: a green LED that illuminates when the amp is powered on, and a red LED that illuminates when the amplifier is in protect mode due to overheating or a short circuit in the speaker wire.

Fan Cooled: A thermally-activated fan on the bottom of the amp helps cool the internal components.

Connections

Power Connections: The power and ground connections are set screw terminals that will accommodate up to 8-gauge wire. (An 8-gauge amplifier wiring kit is recommended.) The remote turn-on terminal is a set screw terminal that will also accept up to 8-gauge wire. A 3mm Allen wrench is required to tighten/loosen the terminals (included).

Speaker Connections: The speaker terminal can be removed from the amp, which makes connecting the speaker wires easier. The terminal is mounted to the chassis of the amp with two screws. Bare speaker wire, up to 12-gauge, is held in place by screw-clamps on the terminal. A flat blade screwdriver (not supplied) is required to tighten/loosen the screw-clamps.

Signal Inputs: The amplifier has a pair of stereo RCA inputs.

Our advisors are happy to help with selecting the best subwoofer for your needs. We have several options that would pair nicely with this amplifier, so we may need to ask a few questions to narrow down the selection. Please reach out to us via online chat or phone at 1-800-324-9695. Thanks!

Q
Hi, does the M100-2 have Hi level inputs?
geooooo  Oct 19, 2022
1 answer
A
This sweet Sound Ordnance M100-2 does not have high level inputs George. For situations like this I like using the Kicker 46KISLOC2 in the link below, you'll need some sort of line out converter to connect the Sound Ordnance amp. This line out converter does not need to be powered (only grounded) and creates the 12v turn on lead for your amp, so easy! https://www.crutchfield.com/p_20646KILO2/Kicker-46KISLOC2.html

Q
I dont see any ratings for this amp for inputs does it support high voltage preamp(4v)?
daniel  Aug 06, 2022
1 answer
A
Greetings Daniel, and thank you for your question. Unfortunately that specification is nowhere to be found. We have had that amplifier 7 years now. I sell a ton of those personally. If there was any issues with a 4 volt input, we would have heard about it. This amplifier is made for Crutchfield. If there are known issues, its going back to the manufacture to resolve them. Seven years is a pretty solid run.

This sounds as though it should work nicely. However, our advisors would be happy to discuss this project in more detail to ensure it is successful. Give us a call at 1-800-324-9695.

Q
Would I be able to power a sound ordinance B-12 Subwoofer with this amplifier?
ben  May 06, 2022
1 answer
A
Yes. It runs 200watts at 4 ohms which should be enough to power it. You could also power a set twitters with the subs since the am has 2 out channels. Good amp, small enough to hide under seats.

Can I use this to power two pairs of speakers (4 total)? One pair of Sound Ordnance 6 1/2 P65CB component speakers on the front doors and another pair in the back, to be exact.

I have been running a pair of 6x9s off of this and I would think it'll run 4 6 1/2. compare the RMS rating though. ideally the total of the speakers should be lower than the output of the amp.

Good question. I believe so. My application was a bit different. I used this amp in my z3 for the subwoofer. I bridged the amp to provide the power. I used another compact amp (4 channel) to provide power a set of component speaker in the footwell & door(6 1/2) and a set of 4in speakers behind the seats. This part of my install seems closer to your scenario. I used 2 channels to power the component speakers. The lead from the amp went to the crossovers first and the crossovers distributed the power. The remaining two channels powered the rear speakers. I used the gain knobs to set the balance and power levels. Hope this helps.

Hi, I have a 2001 BMW z3 roadster and use this amp to power the subwoofer only. I used the Alpine KTP-445U Power Pack to power the front component speakers w/ crossovers and 4inch rear speakers. A Kenwood head unit was also used. This works for my application. Hope this helps.
jason  Jul 20, 2017
A
Absolutely, I have this running my Polk audio components and it is more than enough power, reliable clean power.

I'm thinking of installing this amp in my bike to power the 2 front speakers, any one know if this will draw to much power from my electrical system or should it work?

I think that this amp will work fine for you. It does not draw too much power . If you use the right installation kit with the right gauge wire, you should be just fine.
