Win the battle for great sound in your ride. Sound Ordnance amplifiers feature tough construction, rugged looks, and a 3-year warranty, so you can enjoy the full power of your music for the long haul. Even better, you can add Sound Ordnance to your arsenal at a surprisingly affordable price.

The Sound Ordnance M-2100 2-channel amplifier deploys 75 watts RMS to each channel, giving your music plenty of firepower. Or you can bridge the M-2100 to mobilize 200 watts RMS to your sub. An adjustable high-pass filter makes sure your full-range speakers operate within their optimum range and give you the best tone possible. If you're driving a sub, the low-pass filter and a selectable bass boost allow you to control your bass barrage at will.

The M-2100 amplifier uses sophisticated power supply and output technologies to ensure clean amplification from the inputs all the way to your speakers. Special circuits protect the amp from overheating and short circuits, and a turn-on delay virtually eliminates that annoying thump when you turn your system on.

Product Highlights:

  • 2-channel car amplifier
  • 75 watts RMS x 2 at 4 ohms (100 watts RMS x 2 at 2 ohms)
  • 200 watts RMS x 1 bridged at 4 ohms (4-ohm stable bridged)
  • variable low-pass filter (50-250 Hz, 12 dB/octave)
  • variable high-pass filter (80-2,000 Hz, 12 dB/octave)
  • selectable bass boost (0, 6, and 12 dB at 45 Hz)
  • PWM (pulse width modulation) power supply with MOSFET output
  • preamp inputs and outputs
  • speaker-level inputs
  • fuse rating: 30A x 1
  • 8-gauge power and ground leads recommended — wiring and hardware not included with amplifier
  • 9-1/2"W x 2-1/8"H x 9-7/8"D
  • warranty: 3 years
  • Our 60-day money-back guarantee

My system has plenty of power. Who needs an amp?

You might think you don't need an amp because you have a 400-watt system in your car, or because your new stereo puts out 50 watts a channel. But those are peak wattage ratings, which may boil down to 15 or 20 watts per channel, using the more realistic RMS rating. An amp sends your speakers the power they need to deliver your music with clarity and impact, whether you're using factory speakers or high-performance components. And low-frequency reproduction requires lots of power, so an amp is an absolute must if you're adding a sub to your system.

Good value

Perfect amp for my application. I have it powering a single 10" Sony Sub. Good overall controls. Note, if using the speaker level inputs, don't expect great volume on your sub. Might be ok for other speakers. Highly recommend using with an aftermarket head unit that has RCA outputs with a good voltage, or use a line converter with an input level booster if sticking with on OEM head unit. That's what I've done, and its perfect.

Pros: Great controls, good looks, good power.

Cons: Connections aren't that convenient, end caps make them hard to get at when amp is mounted.

I was using an Alpine MRP-F300 to power my Pioneer TS-SW2002D2 which was overkill, but it's what I had lying around. Saw the killer deal on this amp and decided to switch out my alpine for this Sound Ordnance to free up my amp for other things. Works great. Just make sure you double check where Power and Ground are. It's backwards from the norm and I ended up blowing 2 fuses before I figured out why.

Pros: Small footprint

Cons: Power and ground terminals are switched compared to most amps.

Runs hot. You get what you pay for. Can push one 8 in sub or one 10 in sub. Good mid for rock but no going to rattle your rear view mirror. If it runs that hot how long till it blows a part? Not a good sub 4 deep bass but fine for rock mid bass. Guess i'm going to use it for my 6x9. O well. It's worth the price as long as it don't overheat and fry. lol

Pros: $$$$$

Cons: RUNS HOT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Was do some upgrading to my stock 2015 f250 sound system. Installed pioneer 6x8 door speakers (4). A Kenwood ddx332bt head unit. Back up camera to head unit. (1) 10" pioneer sub. Looked at a lot or reviews before deciding on an amp. All sound ordnance amp seemed to have a lot of good reviews. But it wasn't one of the well know brands. So I was I little hesitant. They had the m2100 on sell almost half off so I figured I give it a try. Wow it pushed sub very well. Now one 10" sub isn't going to shake windows in houses. But that's not what I was looking for anyway. Just some lows to go with mids and highs. Rounded out system very well.

Pros: Nice looking amp Nice 3 year warranty Lot of bang for buck

Cons: None that I have found

Good price, horribe mounting holes

Written by: InstallationGuy from Stevens Point, WI on August 3, 2015

First off, this is a nice price on a basic 2ch amp that can run 4 decent speakers (if no fader is desired) or be bridged to a modest sub. Can't argue with that. It's on the same basic chassis, and I would suspect similar internals to other budget amps, Hifonics, etc. However, the plastic chrome caps on each end are what house the mounting holes for it. First off, the 'tube' that you need to stick a screwdriver down to turn in the screw is too small to fit a drill's bit holder.. so you need to mark out your holes, predrill, then run the screws in with a traditional screw driver. There's also the fact that the holes themselves are plastic, which is fairly chinsy. The mounting hole/tube is also a separate bit from the amp itself, so with enough force the amp pops off all 4 screws and leaves the screws/plastic tubes on whatever plate it's mounted to (not great for back of seat mounting, for example). Just be careful with it's placement and you'll be OK, though.

Pros: Cheap, modest power

Cons: Plastic screw mounts that are fairly weak.

Good for the money. Didn't want to spend big bucks on an amp that is in a car that I drive a few times a month. Made a rack & mounted it in my trunk in my 66 mustang. Works great. Sounds good. Very happy. Some people complained that it is hard to set the screws. I made a template to make it easier. One thing though, I predrilled holes in aluminum bracket I made & the first screw broke. I replaced with larger ones. Overall very nice amp.

Pros: Good sound. Ok looks. Good instructions

Cons: Weak mounting screws

Bang for the Buck

Best bang for the buck in my opinion. Good clean power and ease of installation. A little bit of drawback is the speaker level input. When using the speaker level input it doesn't produce enough power. I had to use line out converter. Clean, clear and powerful using RCA interconnect inputs. I still give it the best bang for the buck.

Pros: Bang for the buck. Great purchase price from Crutchfield. Ease of installation. Small profile.

Cons: Speaker level input is weak.

I bought this amp never hearing of sound ordnance before but after saying its a Crutchfield brand I decided to give it a shot and it has a 3 year warranty so I figured wth. I am extremely satisfied with this amp I have it pushing 1 12 in a sealed enclosure and it thumps really loud and deep. Definitely worth buying if you are on a budget like I was like I said a 3 year warranty you aren't gonna find that on any other amp and the price was outstanding I use it bridged at 200 watts at 4 ohms.

Cons: The only thing I don't like is the chrome outside is plastic but not really a big problem due to the price

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

This amp is such a great deal. The specs, compared with other brands, are such a great value, and it looks cool, which is why I bought it. But it's just the right power for a decent 10 or 12 if you're doing a simple system. It's clean and tight, works like a charm with the Sound Ordnance B12 loaded enclosure I got it for. Not too boomy, not too tight.

Pros: Awesome value, looks cool, the brand has a great 4 channel that matches it, good power rating for a simple sub

Cons: Only qualm is the wiring posts are at an adverse angle with the case. You can get at it with a regular #2 screwdriver, just be careful or it seems like it would be easy to strip the head of the screws. I did fine though.

Great amp for price. Doesn't feel as well made as amps I have owned in the past. The adjustment knobs aren't flush with the side of the amp. But, overall seems to be a good amp. Fits well under drivers seat of 2007 Honda CRV EX-L. Also, speaker level inputs do not work with factory amplified system in Honda CRV. Had to buy Scosche SLC4 to get amp to work.

Pros: Price, size.

I had no idea that my previous Kicker Amplifier was sounding so bad. Out of the box this exceeded my expectations. Shipping was faster than expected and the box contained exactly what was stated. No hidden issues here which is what I have appreciated from Crutchfield since my first order many years ago.

Pros: Great sounding, Aesthetically pleasing, well rounded 2 channel amplifier with options.

Cons: The plate needed to be removed in order to get to the speaker/power terminals. Not enough of an issue to deduct a star as it also allows for protection of those connections. Good to understand before installing the amp in a tight location .

Great amp for the money; open box buy. Running a single 4 ohm 10" woofer, sounds better and hits harder than my older way more expensive amp. Using speaker level inputs to keep the factory head unit.

Pros: Plenty of power.

Cons: The speaker level input wiring harness labels do not make sense, and there is nothing in the manual about them. The terminals on the amp are labeled correctly, so don't bother to try and figure out the X, +, -, or _ on the wiring means.

I'm 38 years old and have been purchasing and installing car audio since I was 13. I usually get rockford fosgate amps but wanted to try Sound Ordnance since Crutchfield has so much involvement with them and I've always trusted Crutchfield. This is in my sons car bridged to a 12" sub and it sounds incredible! No "thump" when he starts his car and you can't hear anything from the sub at all until the bass hits. Clean bass that is completely adjustable with the gain and low pass filter knobs. For the price I am literally amazed at this products quality and it has a 3 year warranty! I've tried low cost amps before and they never sounded like this. I usually don't write reviews but wanted to add my 2 cents because this amp really exceeded my expectations, even though I expected it to be a nice amp. But for less than $100? Wow!

Pros: Crystal clear amplified sound with no "thump" when it starts up.

A pretty nice little system. VERY easy to install and set up. Decent sound for the price. The switch settings on the system are nice, and I have mine accessible so that when I switch from Ipod to Radio or different equalizer settings, I can flip the switches to control the bass output. I would say well worth the money I paid. mounted in a Jeep soft-top wrangler and i only run the front speakers on the two channels so it works great to cover all the road noise.

Pros: Good sound for the money

Cons: A mounting bracket would have been a nice addition.

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

I bought this to give a little more power to my speakers in a cruise night/show car that only gets about 500 miles of use a year. I did not want to spend a ton of money and I used this amp with a head unit that only has one set of outputs. This thing really did the trick give that "full" sound that the head unit amplifeir just could not give. The reason I did not give this thing 5 stars is very simple. The mounting holes being so deep and small through the case makes it a pain to mount if you need to predrill holes into whatever you are going to mount it too. I hope Crutchfield reviews the mounting holes and considers a different design.

Pros: Cost Quality of sound

Cons: Mounting holes Slightly bigger than other amps

Bought this amp to power some JL Audio C5 tweeters. I used to have an old piece of crap amp that just didn't cut it. This was supposed to fix up the sound quality. It did have less background static and was cleaner however not satisfactory as far as the sound quality went. I decided to stop cheaping out and return this back to Crutchfield and buy a JL Audio amp. The sound quality difference was huge. This is a good starter amp, but if you are looking for sound quality... there is a reason why other amplifiers with similar power ratings cost more.

Pros: Small Cheap

Cons: Sound Quality

Large and difficult to mount, but sounds good.

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

Not a bad amp for the price. This thing is huge, much larger than most, it almost didn't fit where I was putting it. Also the mounting hole locations are through the chassis such that you can't get a drill bit onto the screw and had to use a screw driver. The hole diameter was also to narrow to use self tapping screws, I had to measure and drill then screw by hand. Kind of a pain. Once it was done it worked fine.

Pros: Cheap, good sound, lots of features

Cons: Large, really big, huge, enormous, difficult to mount/install.

Pros: Ease of inatallation Sound Price

Cons: Plastic mounting feet are brittle. Needed to be metal instead

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

I picked this amp up on sale but it is worth the everyday price. You can get a much more expensive amp that may or may not sound better but if you are on a budget this is the way to go. Buy this amp and use the money you save over the name brands to buy a better set of speakers.

Pros: Nice size, fits under the seat of my MX5. Design looks great and hook up was easy.

Cons: None that I can think of at this time.

This amp is a solid one. Can't go wrong here. I have it pushing a mtx thunder form enclosure and it sets off car alarms with this amp hooked up to it. It never gets hot to the touch and never cuts off during serious usage. Reccomend this brand for the budget friendly and performance all in one.

Pros: Price for performance Looks variety of connection options

Cons: Too much plastic on the outter case.

Did not even work..

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

I had purchased this amp for my Sound Ordance B-17 sub and I don't know why but it did not work at all. I had 2 different people try and help hook it up and we could not get it to work despite doing everything right...Even when the amp's power button was lit, it was not giving any power to my sub. Probably just a faulty amp but needless to say I was disappointed and frustrated. going to look at other brands because I wouldn't trust this amp again.

Cons: Didn't work!!

I had to choose an amp based on size and price. This amp was a wise choice. Due the vehicle it went in (08) Wrangler I had to get creative as to how and where it went. The Jeep spends 6 months a year topless so I couldnt mount it directly to the floor. I used 8 corner brackets to give it a 2.5" space off the floor and used rubber groments to help reduce the vibrations. When the project was finally finished I was amazed how powerfull this amp really is. I am using it to power two 6.5" kicker subs I mounted in the sound bar. The sound it produces is awesome. It makes these subs kick out a great sound ! For the money and the quality, you can't go wrong!

Pros: price, quality, prefomance, Warranty

Cons: none so far!

Great bang for your buck!!

Install was relatively simple once I got the ground to work. I installed it in a 09 Silverado crew cab with the Pioneer TS-SWX251 10" shallow subwoofer. It gives the perfect amount of punch. Not overwhelming, but definitely enough to feel the bass. You really can't beat the price at 79.99, not to mention a 3 year warranty. Would recommend to anyone for sure. If your debating whether to trust the name brand, just call Crutchfield and ask about how Sound Ordnance came about.

Pros: Price

Cons: None at this point

Install was quick and easy. Used to power two rockford forgate prime R1693 6x9s. Used remote output to jump to 10 inch infinity bass link. Speakers sound good and will probably get better once some adjustments are made.

Pros: Could not beat the price.

Cons: Had to use rubber grommets to increase the clearance underneath.

Installation was straight forward. The amp provided a great sound improvement for what I need.

Pros: Good unit and the cost was low.

Cons: The way the amp mounts to the floor needs improvement, had to make shims to get the unit level. Shims are not included with the amp

Cheaply made but works excellent

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

The amp works perfectly. I highly suggest going with this as compared to the top name brands that you will get the same effect for 50$ more. My only problem is that the mounting equipment is made of plastic tubes. They will break and fall out if you tighten the amp to the wall. So just be careful. Besides that, awesome amp.

Installed this in my Polaris ranger crew cab along with 8inch kicker sub. Can't believe how great it sounds. This was my first install and was surprised at how easy it was.

Pros: Price and ease of install.

Cons: I was not familiar with LPF and HPF features. Directions could have been more explanatory.

Bought the M2100 to replace another SO product, the under seat 8 inch sub which is still working fine in another car. The M2100 is powering 2 6" subs in the rear of a 2002 PT cruiser. Dual Bazooka tube's (from Crutchfield by the way) pound with the M2100 supplying the juice. Bass is plentiful and clean and the M2100 looks good. My only complaint is the power on/problem LED's (red & green) are not on the same end as the adjustment controls.

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

I bought this amp to re-power the failed built-in amp of my Infiniti Basslink. I wasn't sure how well it was going to work and I am very happy I tried it. It works great! The Sound Ordnance amp gave me everything I needed for the job. Built- in adjustable crossover and 200W bridged. 3yr. parts and labor warranty gave me the confidence to choose the Sound Ordnance. Thanks Crutchfield!

Incredible deal

I thought I'd give Sound Ordinance a try and now i am so glad i did. The amp is
compact enough for me to hide under my passenger seat and more than
powerful enough to push my Sony Xplode 12 inch sub. I am very pleased with
the bass boost and low pass filter adjustment.

This amp is perfect if you're running a single sub in a small or mid size car or
truck. I have mine in the trunk of a nissan sentra.

Thanks Crutchfield!

Very Solid, Clean Power

Written by: Steve D from Eureka, CA on March 2, 2011

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

I purchased this amplifier to power the two Infinity 6832 coaxials in the front doors of my
Mercury Villager. I initially powered the front speakers with the on-board power from the
head unit, but felt that they needed a little more muscle to really make them shine. I'm
happy to say that this amplifier has an abundance of power and really delivers the
goods! I have the level control almost all the way down, and it produces enough clean
sound and volume to make conversation in the vehicle difficult.

I cannot say enough about what a bargain these Sound Ordnance amplifiers are! I am
using an M-4075 four channel amplifier to for the two rear Infinity coaxials and a 12-inch
Infinity Reference subwoofer in a sealed box. The system really cranks, the sound
is clean, and the bass is tight and strong.

Do yourself a favor...take advantage of the great bargain Crutchfield is providing with the
Sound Ordnance amplifiers.....and use the savings to purchase better speakers. You
won't be disappointed!

I forwarded your question to an Advisor and they responded with the following: Not all amplifiers allow for speaker-level inputs to be used in conjunction with an RCA pre-amp output, but the Sound Ordnance M2100 doesn't say that the RCA pre-amp output isn't functional if you go with speaker-level connections.
