Win the battle for great sound in your ride. Sound Ordnance amplifiers feature tough construction, rugged looks, and a 3-year warranty, so you can enjoy the full power of your music for the long haul. Even better, you can add Sound Ordnance to your arsenal at a surprisingly affordable price.
The Sound Ordnance M-2250 2-channel amplifier deploys 175 watts RMS to each channel, giving your music plenty of firepower. Or you can bridge the M-2250 to mobilize 500 watts RMS to your sub. An adjustable high-pass filter makes sure your full-range speakers operate within their optimum range and give you the best tone possible. If you're driving a sub, the variable bass boost and low-pass filter allow you to control your bass barrage at will.
The M-2250 amplifier uses sophisticated power supply and output technologies to ensure clean amplification from the inputs all the way to your speakers. Special circuits protect the amp from overheating and short circuits, and a turn-on delay virtually eliminates that annoying thump when you crank up your system.
Although this amplifier has a port for a remote control built in, it's not functional, and a remote controller for this amp is not available.
You might think you don't need an amp because you have a 400-watt system in your car, or because your new stereo puts out 50 watts a channel. But those are peak wattage ratings, which may boil down to 15 or 20 watts per channel, using the more realistic RMS rating. An amp sends your speakers the power they need to deliver your music with clarity and impact, whether you're using factory speakers or high-performance components. And low-frequency reproduction requires lots of power, so an amp is an absolute must if you're adding a sub to your system.
Great bang for the buck.
Pros: Price. Power.
Cons: None so far.
You can't go wrong with the Sound Ordinance M-2250 Amp paired with the Sound Ordinance B-24 Sub Box! They will thump - just stand in front of the B-24's and feel your hair blow back!
Pros: Easy setup, great power and sound.
I bridged the 2 channels and send 500 watts to a 10" Bazooka and easily get all the base and punch that I can handle.
Pros: Option of two channels or can be bridged for a super powerful mono channel.
Matched this with the B-24s and ask i can say is WOW! All the reviews were shot on when saying this thing puts out power. i am so so so glad i took a chance on these. I am sound ordanence for life! The amp is at half power and i can't imagine having it at 100%. Insane! Makes me feel as if my 09 impala is about to fall apart. You will be heard for blocks away easily.
Pros: Looks awesome, does not get hot at 1/2 gain which is enough to rattle eyes. Easy installation. Dog tags dance on rear view mirror. Pair this with the b24s
Cons: Remote gain port does not function.
I trusted all the great reviews and I'm glad I did, they were right! Paired with the SO B-24 subs it's hard to believe what I paid for the combo. The amp is barely turned up and this combo has my Envoy Booming! Can't wait to tune everything and see what it can really do. Super happy with my purchase!
Pros: High output on performance, low output on cash.
Cons: Wish I bought it a long time ago.
Wanting to do something big on a small budget? This is the amp for you. It pushes and sounds just as good as many other more costly amps. I have it bridged puching an 8" Bazooka. The bass is clear and load. So far all of my friends are very impressed by the sound. (I haven't told them how much I paid.)
Pros: Great sound and power. Can't beat the price
Cons: The plastic used for the mounting can break.
Bought this amp with the bandpass box and was skepical only because of the name brand. I have loved the sound from the install and would happily outfit my vehicle with all Sound Ordnance speakers and amps. Sound is amazing and amp powers subs with plenty of bass to spare! In fact i have to turn it down.
Pros: Easy install. Clear insrtuctions.
Cons: No remote; But my deck does control the bass so I really do not need one.
I bought this amp because I was on a tight budget, this amp is really great for the money a good improvement over my old one. Another thing that caught my eye was that it looked pretty sharp when I opened the box
Pros: -Cheap -Clean look -Sounds great with my BT1014 bass tubes
Cons: Slightly bigger than my old one
got this amp as a christmas gift and hooked it up with a good quality wiring kit. Had it powering 2 pioneer shallow subs that i got used and recently blew one of them powering them 175x2@ 4 ohms. running off A kenwood excelon kdc-397 headunit and i dont know if its just something i did wrong wiring it but when i play a cd you can hear the sub pop and buzz a little. this is a strong amp. would buy again
Pros: strong power. easy knobs and switches
Cons: no remote. dont like the plastic mounting holes
Running two 2250's and one 2100 in my semi. These amps are well built. They have held up to the extremes over the road without any problems. Very easy to install and plenty of power to spare. Very pleased with the sound quality of these amps. User recommended!
Pros: Easy to install, sound and power
Cons: Large footprint
Great amp for the money! Solid build quality and looks amazing sitting next to my SO B-24 box. Would for sure recommend this amp to someone, and if you're planning on buying the box I have, this amp is the only way to go.
Pros: Good amp Price
Great amp at a great price
Pros: A lot of bag for the buck.
The Sound Ordnance M-2250 is a great two channel amplifier. Bought this to replace an amp that was quite a bit more expensive. The sound quality is excellent and the power is fantastic. Price is great for the high quality of the sound and power, I recommend this amp for two channel music.
Great amp easy install looks good paired with B-24 subs hits hard
Pros: Looks great easy install and doesn't get hot
Cons: Little big
Good sounding amplifier. Solid build and impressive looks and performance!
Pros: Beautiful solid amplifier
Cons: The amplifier mounting and adjustments.
Good sounding amp. Used to drive 2 Kenwoods from a less than stellar head unit and was impressed with the sound and performance difference the amp made. Good amp for the money.
Pros: Good product for the cost.
Solid amp for 2 channel output. Easy to install and power up
Cons: interference with other components. Needs at least 6 feet

The 2 Sound Ordnance M-2250 that I just purchased work really well. The price and quality are excellent. I have one amplifier connected to 4 8" speakers and the other connected to 4 10" speakers and the power and sound are wicked. I am very satisfied with my equipment and Crutchfield. The phone reps are all very professional and nice. Thanks you guys!

OK amp for the price but couldn't use as my old school Autotek 7050 BTS ( 22 x 2 @ 4 ohms ) was 4 db louder and hit much harder with 2 Alpine Type S 12" Subs in 1.25ft3 per side sealed box and lots of acoustic filler inside. My Autotek was probably around 200-250 watts mono as it is an old school cheater amp. Still, 500 watts should have been at least as good and was no where near. I used to compete back in the late 80's and early 90's. For the cheap price it is ok and would probably be better for a pair of 88 to 90 db efficiency 10's. I returned it since my old amp was much better. The return process was quick and easy and only cost a flat $10 for the return label. I have bought from Crutchfield since the early 90's. You get what you pay for. If all you got is this much then it is not bad for the $$. My Autotek was $600 back in 1989. Probably isn't fair to compare a competition amp to a consumer amp. For just good bass it will do but for really loud bass go with a high dollar name brand. Power cost $$$$$$$.
Pros: Cheap, sounds ok . Looks impressive
Cons: big, not a high currant type amp. Probably great with 10's given the low price.
Whoa!!!!!!!!!.... This coupled with the Sound Ordnance B-24= Wow. Really powerful loud and clean bass. Also cant beat the price....... I Love Crutchfield
I have a 1998 Grand Marquis and I was cautious putting this with my 2 Memphis PR 10's in a ported pro box and WOW!!!! this amp makes my subs pound harder than any 12's I've heard in awhile. This amp is very reliable looks great makes the subs sound great and wont break the bank to buy. I will definitely have sound ordnance in my mind whenever I need any more car audio.
Pros: great price, great amp and well worth the money
Cons: little big but that's my only complaint
This amp rocks. My second sound ordinance amp. Highly recommend.
The M-2250 looks fantastic and provides more than enough wattage for my 12" Rockford Power Subwoofer. Everywhere I go people ask me about it, and want to hear it.
Pros: Looks great, Easy setup, Good power, and adds to your cars character.
Cons: Only turns on with the radio if you attach it to the power FM antenna wire...
While I'm happy with this amp, there are a few things it could do better. For starters, the size seems a bit large in comparison to other 500 watt amps I've had in the past. Also, the lip that extends over the leads for the power/ground makes it a bit if a challenge to secure your wiring. Also, it is difficult to adjust the amp, because the knobs are flush with surface of the amp. Not major issues, but seemingly easy fixes.
Pros: Good sound at a very affordable price.
Cons: Some functionality sacrificed for appearance.
This is the second SO amp I have purchased from Crutchfield. Packaged together with a good head unit and quality speakers, you have a system that's very impressive. Mounted the amp directly under the driver's side seat and it fit perfectly.
Pros: Pros are: Price, good specs, looks good if you should mount it where it would be visible. Could be an easy install determined by available space. I mounted it on a plate close under the driver's seat, off the floor and out of sight.
Cons: No cons
I bought two Sound Ordnance Amps the M4100 and M2250. The 2250 i used it to power my two alpine type r subs. Well lets just say the amp looks good, it does get hot, and its BIG. But overall it doesn't have enough power to give for the subs to hit hard. So I returned it so now I'm just waiting for another M4100 to use as a 2-channel to power the subs. Lets see how that goes.
Pros: Nice Look
Cons: Its BIG, not enough power for a pair of subs, and vents are on the bottom (WHY?)
I was refereed this amp by Crutchfield staff and could not be happier. It does exactly what I needed it to do.
Pros: Price is right and easy to hook up.
I got this amp, and that's the best amp for that price. Powerful and Affordable.
Pros: Powerful amp for the low price.
Cons: The Size of the amp is a bit bigger than others, it's almost like 8.5 x 12.
like it alot
Seems to push my sub great and it doesn't get too hot.
Pros: looks great
Absolutely love this amp. I have it on a pair of Polk Audio db840dvc's and it they sound great no matter what music genre is playing through them. This amp rocks out all day and night with problems
Pros: great output
The sound is awesome, easy to install And to elegance disign
Serves its purpose 100% and delivers clean unadulterated signal without power-drain when used properly with a 1.0 MicroFarad capacitor. 5 stars.
Pros: Easy install, affordable, sleek and slim, serves its purpose perfectly.
Cons: BIG DEAL HERE: Factory in-the-box comes with the bass boost already at +12db!! TURN THIS OFF before install, you have the immediate potential to damage your output audio equipment.
Unfortunately didn't even have enough power to push my 2 12 Inch infinities subs.had to return. bought a Kenwood amp instead, satisfied to say the least.
Cons: Not much power. Connectors are plastic. Vents Are On Bottom Of Amp.
I bought one that was scratch and dent. You can not beat the price for this powerhouse! I have one Memphis 12 in a sealed box in the trunk of my Infiniti. With the gain halfway, the bass is deep and smooth with the sub flexing hard. I smell sawdust sometimes after listening to rap. Lol!
Pros: Lots of power and a 3 year warranty
Cons: I wish the RCA hookup was on the same side as the power hookup. And the amp is rather large.
It has enough power to rattle the entire car, and it sounds awesome. My wifes last amp shot craps and this one is so much better and cheaper price was nice
Pros: Easy hook up,
At first i was skeptical about this amp.but i read all the reviews and decided to tale a chance.I was blown away when i connected it,it really has some power.I have 2 Memphis 12 inch subs and they are bumping.I'am so happy i bought this amp.I really gonna recommend this amo to my friends...Keep rocking in the free world!!
Just finished installing this about a week ago - it's currently powering a pair of image dynamics chameleon components rated at 125rms a piece- it sounds marvelous with the gain not even half way up. I have absolutely no complaints regarding quality or anything like that. I just hope the amp lasts a long time.
Pros: Great sound, cheap price (I got it when it was on sale for 100 bucks), the terminals use philips set style screws so you dont need to go searching through your allen key collection to find the "right" size.
Cons: the only complain I have- is that I had to remove the shiny plastic end pieces because of my particular mounting set up- I couldn't get at any of the terminals while they were on there, so I had to wire up the whole amp before I could mount it... wasn't that bad, just thought i might be worth mentioning if you have spatial constraints regarding its mount set up and whatnot...
Beutifull finish great sound perfect preformance
used set to bridged and mono to power a single kenwood 10 in a vented box in an extended cab truck, all i can say is wow. deffinately surprised with the output and features for sound settings. I've shopped around and returned many this one is deffinately a keeper. BAD FN A. and for the price your probably not going to find a better deal.
this amp rocks! from the moment i opened the package i was impressed , the price is excellent for the quality of the amp, the desighn of the packaging n thoroughness of the manual n related items tells me theres been some actually investment in R&D, im using it bridged in mono and the amp has plenty of power and actually more than i need for my 1 12" sub ,. really brought out the impact of the sub to my system and im very happy with the amp.
Pros: plenty of power, flexibility control options, crossover, bridgeable etc...
Cons: the mounting tabs are a little weak, but if you take youre time and properly install the amp i dont see a problem.
This amp packs a punch when bridged. I have it hooked up to the B-24 subs and they sound more powerful now. I was using a 500watt mono amp for them, but it only put out 150watts at 4 ohm. I had it tuned (m-2250) perfectly in less than 5 minutes.
Pros: powerful when bridged for 500 watts
Cons: the plastic screws for the adjustments (ie: gain, lpf, hpf) are a soft plastic and strip easily, so make sure to use a proper sized philips tip screwdriver
High quality amp when adjusted properly. Gets real hot, but what amp doesn't.. Warning: You may have to call customer service when installing due to instructions conflicting with actual locations of knobs and adjusting screws (mislabeled). Good looking amp too.
Pros: solid quality
Cons: mislabeled adjusting knobs/screws
Replaced Alpine m500 & Alpine 10" Type R with the SO B-24 box & the SO 2250 amp and all I can say is WOW.. The bass is amazing.. This thing booms and the speakers aren't even moving.. The box fits perfect in my 2010 Nissan Altima Sedan's trunk like it was made for it. Product quality is superb in my opinion... Oh and my head unit is a Sony XAV 72BT. I was a little unhappy reguarding the amp, came dented and scratched but still works...
This amp is very solid, and well built. powered right up with no problems. definatly puts out the advertised power. Amp gets pretty warm during solid use, but not alarmingly hot. be sure to put in an open area if not a ventilated one. bass boost is nice, not a locked in 6 or 12 dbs, fully adjustable with a screw identical to gain or crossover adjustments. end caps ARE plastic, coated with chrome, be careful securing it down. hookup was easy and staight forward. all in all a very solid purchase at a good price.
I was looking for a decently priced amp that gave enough juice to get two 12s
thumping. I'm currently running this amp, non-bridged, and it gives an
incredible amount of bass out of the two subs. Will probably buy a second one
soon. Great buy if you're not looking to break the bank for good sub-power.
this little amp is awesome, had my doubts at first but when installed, it booms.have this
one hooked up to s/o bandpass box w/12s and it really bumps.will recommend these
products to all my friends
Bought this in January, with the free wiring kit it came with. Install was easy,
and the controls on it are simple. It's powering my Rockford Fosgate P2L 212s,
and it makes them sound fantastic. Lots of power for not a lot of price. There's
no remote for it, even though it has a spot to put one; Not enough to mark this
down a star. Sold out 4 days after I bought it, speaks for itself.
I have this amp powering the Sound Ordnance B-24's. This amplifier is great and is
handling the cold winter in Columbus, Ohio like a beast. Sound Ordnance is great stuff!
I have this powering my Sound Ordnance B-24 the amp gets the job done with ease. There
are however three issues that made me go 4 stars instead of 5.
1st as mentioned before the end are plastic ( cosmetic )
2nd There are vents on the bottom of the amp and when it is mounted blocking these vents it
seems to get very warm. Once I mounted it with air flow pass both top and bottom of the amp
it runs cool.
3rd There is a place for a remote although Crutchfield does not carry one for it.
I have had the M-2250 for 3 months now. I have it bridged to run 500w rms @ 4ohm. It
is hooked up to the SO B-24 2-12" bandpass box. HOLY CRAP! A Very nice combo.
- Lots of power for the price.
- Love the look of it.
- Good screw-clamping connectors for power wires.
- I have not yet experienced clipping at high volume. (But I'll keep trying!)
- I like the little Sound Ordnance dog tags that they send with it.
- At normal volume levels, the amp does not get hot, yet still provides good bass.
- After pushing it really hard for 30 minutes, the amp was quite warm. It didn't 'burn' my
hand, but I wouldnt want to hold it there for very long.
- When really pushing it, it makes my lights dim a little, which is to be expected with AB
class amps. Time to get a capacitor.
- Others have commented on the plastic end caps? Well, I'm pretty sure they are metal,
cuz when I was screwing in the power cables, I touched the end cap and it arced n
sparked, so be careful.
- The amp seems to have a spot to plug in a remote bass boost control, yet Crutchfield
Advisor say there is not one compatible with it.
Overall, the value for the price is excellent, hence the 5 star rating. If it cost over $300
like many 'name brand' amps with similar stats do, I may rate it slightly lower. The 3 year
warranty is what sealed the deal for me. Despite the minor low points, I love this amp
and would recommend it to anyone that wants high power rating for a low price.
WOW, I have this amp powering up the B-24 Sub. Nothing better than getting a bass massage while driving down the road. I have moved this setup to a new car and still no problems. As noted above the ends are plastic and I wish they were metal. Easy install, Nice eye appeal, wonderful overall. I am sold on Sound Ordnance. This amp really hits hard. My Step-daughter was in the car and her hair was moving so much she had to put it in a pony tail.
I only have this turned up half way and it's more than enough for me. I'm
running it bridged on the 2 Dual 12's that Crutchfield sells enclosed.
Definitely turns heads. Great product
I am using this to push the Sound Ordnance B-24's at 500W bridged. It's a beautiful amp in person, and fit nicely with my EA4200 behind the 12's in the trunk of a 97 accord. The amp doesn't seem to get hot, but it gets warm to the touch. No problems so far and makes the subs sound great! The only thing I wish was different was the metallic sides - they're plastic, not aluminum/metal.

Fits with my subs [ Alex Feb 07, 2016 ]
It looks to be a proven product with many positive reviews. Looks to pair very well with the Sound Ordnance B-24 12" Subwoofer/Bandpass package. [ JOEY Jan 06, 2016 ]
best for the money [ edward Dec 16, 2015 ]
Lights should be off when car is off. The remote lead wire should be tied to an inviting power source so amp is signaled to turn on only when ignition is on. Sounds like your remote power wore is tied to a battery line (constant power). Yea it will kill your battery. [ MICHAEL Dec 18, 2015 ]
The light was only on when the power was switched on for the unit we installed. Check to be sure that the switching wire from the stereo, blue I think, does not have any current in it when the car and sound system is off. Not sure about the protected light, but no lights were on when off. We will be getting this car back in this winter and if needed I could check that light for you then. If the amp is actually powered on when the car is off, it will drain the battery. [ WILLIAM S Dec 18, 2015 ]
The power light should only be on when your stereo is on, assuming you've correctly hooked up the remote power cord. If you wired it without the remote line, you'll need to manually power the unit on and off, and yes, it is draining your battery while that light is on. [ Ryan Dec 18, 2015 ]
