Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

I installed these speakers in the dash openings of my 2014 Mazda 3 which in my lower model did not have. Whether you buy these for full price or open box like I did, you will not be disappointed. They are crisp and deliver nice high/mid range sound. Perfect for a dash speaker. I am very happy with my purchase and I would buy Sound Ordinance speakers again. Can't beat it for the price!

Pros: Great highs even with factory headunit Good mid range for a full sound

Cons: Little to no low. To be expected for such a small speaker mounted in the dash.

My Miata needed all speakers replaced. Disconnected the door speakers as they rattled so bad. These little speakers sound quite good by them selves. The wait on the door speakers isn't so bad with these playing. I would tell a friend about Crutchfield products.

Pros: Everything you need is in the box.

Cons: none so far

I ordered these as no one stocked 3 1/2" speakers anywhere in Charlotte. I did not want to mount a door speaker in my Ciera but wanted to use the original dash location. I ordered based on price and reviews. I like Crutchfield because they include a wire kit for the speakers so you don't have to cut the original factory end off. They fit great and sound very nice for a 3 1/2 inch speaker.

Pros: fit, sound, wire kit

Cons: None

Bought these speakers (P-35 3.5" coax) for the front dash of an 80's VW...dropped right in with no mods needed...I did break these in on my test bench for approx. 8 hours before installing in car....average sounding speaker BUT for the price is a VERY good speaker set...tweeters are bright w/o being "tinny" or "harsh"...Got these crossed-over @ 800 hz and can handle 25w rms on a daily basis...

Pros: Well made/constructed for the price...good quality speaker leads...good sounding tweeters

Cons: Would have liked to seen bass-blockers/caps included

Great Buy

Written by: Mark from Sacramento, CA on February 9, 2014

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

I bought a 2013 Dodge Dart with the 6 speaker sound. The factory speakers are just what you would expect. Of course they have to go. Crutchfield had these babies for $20 including the connectors had to jump on it. I just put these in Oh Mama!!! They make a complete difference in how the car sounds! I aint really into it for loudness but these definitely increased that but was amazing were the highs and mids. BB King's guitar never sounded so good! The speakers also added a touch of bass as well. 100% improvement in my cars sound. I am already looking for replacements for the rest of the speakers! Amazing speakers if you are considering them be like Nike and Just Do It!!

Pros: Great sound and seperation. Amazingly these little speakers added a touch of Bass.

Cons: None yet!

I bought these speakers because one of my factory tweeters blew. The improvement in sound was unbelievable. Much clearer highs and mids and the speakers are constructed very well. They were a perfect fit too. If you're installing these in an 02 body style ram you'll have to make the hole for the middle tweeter bigger. I would recommnd using a Dremel tool to sand it down.

Pros: Much clearer sound. Price. Easy install.

Cons: Absolutely none.

2002 Lincoln LS
Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

Totally worth the price for these speakers. Ordered this through Crutchfield and they threw in the wiring kit even though I didn't need it. These replaced a pair of factory speakers that had been trashed. These sound great with no distortion. They were installed in a 2002 Lincoln LS with the Alpine system which Crutchfield lists as a no fit and I'll admit it was a little tricky getting them in, but they fit with minimal modification. It took me just under an hour to installed both speakers. If I had to do it again...probably 25 minutes. I would definitely buy these a second time without hesitation.

Pros: Sound great.

Cons: None

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

I saw that these had good reviews, but they still sounded better than I expected. It actually kind of threw off my plan for the car, since I didn't expect to get such good sound out of my dash speakers. They went into a VW MK3 - Crutchfield will tell you they don't fit, but they will fit fine if you're willing to rig some screws through the dash plastic. The stock grills go back on with no problem, too (i.e., height is fine).

I put these beside my subwoofers in the box(sealed seperately of course).

They don't do too much, but if I am to lean over just a little but to say grab
something on the passenger seat, I lose my hearing for the two front speakers
and these little guys pick it right back up.

They are small, they are meant for your dash and they are crystal clear at
pretty loud volumes.
