Win the battle for great sound. Sound Ordnance speakers invade your car's listening space with clear sonic reproduction that'll mobilize your music. You'll enjoy the new life these rugged speakers bring to your system, all at a budget-friendly price.
The P-57 5"x7" speakers sport tough polypropylene cones that can handle just about any musical barrage. Silk dome tweeters deploy the high frequencies smoothly and effectively, so you hear all the details in your tunes without harshness. The black powder-finished stamped steel frames tell you that these Sound Ordnance speakers mean business, while a 3-year warranty gives you peace of mind for the long haul.
Priced per pair
The speakers that originally came in your car were made from inexpensive materials, designed to create acceptable sound at the lowest possible cost to the manufacturer. If you love music, you deserve better. Name-brand aftermarket speakers deliver fuller, richer sound with considerably more detail and nuance, and they're capable of playing louder and cleaner than factory speakers. Connect new speakers to your factory radio and you'll get the best possible sound from your dealer-equipped system. Pair them up with a new car stereo for a level of enjoyment that can rival a high-fidelity home audio experience.
I replaced a bad vehicle speaker with this speaker, easy install, good sound for the money.
Pros: Fit without trouble, good sound.
I'm not an audiophile, but these have overall better sound reproduction than the stock Ford speakers in my Escape. I listen to a wide variety, including talk radio, and the speech is clearer. With music, the sound is less muted and muddled. The stock front speakers began to distort anything time it rained. These replacements fit perfectly in the stock locations without needing adapters and the pair were cheaper than one from the dealer. And now I have clear sound regardless of weather. One hint - I used wire-ties to tie the cables to the speakers so they wouldn't rattle around in the door or contact the window glass if rolled down.
Pros: Better sound than stock. Fit perfectly in the stock locations.
Just a good replacement. fit perfect in the ford 5 x 7 or 6 x 8 oval
Pros: great sound at a great price
These are for my truck that I don't use as much as my car so I did not want to spend too much on it, but I had to get rid of the crappy 2 speaker factory radio. I bought 2 pairs of these speakers, front doors and rear behind seat, They fit perfectly in both front and back, the hardest part was running wires to the back,(no factory wires) other than that (which was not very hard at all) it was easy to install them,(thanks in part to Crutchfield supplied wire harnesses). Once installed with new head unit, and adjusted to my liking, they sound great, 1000 times better than the factory set up. If you want good sound without spending a lot these are the speakers to get
Pros: Good sound, low price, fit perfectly, easy to install
Bought these to replace the two 25 watt factory speakers in my 2008 Ford Ranger. Man, what a difference! These things put out great sound for the price, and I am very happy with them. SUPER easy install with the Crutchfield adaptor!
I purchased these speakers to replace a pair of torn pair that came with the car. The speakers have clear lows and highs, and makes a good addition to the overall sound of my vehicle. For the price you cannot beat them!
Pros: Excellent Range of Highs and Low Excellent for the Price
I just received these speakers and installed 2 in the front and 2 in the back of a 2010 Ford Focus, still with the factory satellite/CD/radio. I am amazed at how much better the music sounds. I can actually distinguish between all the lower tones now -- it's not just a blur of low bass buzz anymore. And the singers sound crisp and clear over the music. Very pleased. Really dig the price and the 3 year warranty. $100 for a whole new music atmosphere.
One recommendation for Crutchfield -- the wire harnesses were surprisingly difficult to attach to the speakers. I had to open the wire connections with a flathead screwdriver and then crimp a bit, and generally wiggle the thing onto the speaker contact -- with all 4 speakers. That was the most difficult part of the installation, since I didn't want to bust the woofer or break the plug while trying to push the wire connector onto it. Surely you can make that part easier.
These speakers were a brand I had never heard of and they were inexpensive. I had to replace a blown speaker in the front door of my wife's Expedition. The only thing I had to do was cut a tab off of the frame of the speaker. The wire harness that was shipped with them was a perfect fit and kept me from needing to splice wires. They sound great, far better than I expected. Now I need to swap out the back door speakers so that the muddy sound from the 10 yr old factory speakers can go away.
Pros: Near perfect fit. Wire harness included. Sound amazing. Definitely will work if you are planning to use just a aftermarket stereo to power the speakers.
Cons: Not free. Did not take the door panels of themselves.
Speakers worked great and sound awesome. They are 10 times better then the stock Ford speakers.
Was very impressed with these speakers. Bought 2 of them to replace the paper factory speakers in my wife's Miata and these are some very nice units. We like them a lot. The magnets are huge and they definitely can put out some "thump" for "small" speakers. ; )
Pros: They look great, sound great, and very easy to install. Thanks Crutchfield.
Speakers are very clear. They came with extra mounting hardware if you needed it.
These speakers rock! I bought 4 to replace, what I thought were(sounded like) my stock speakers. The two rear were stock the front were "mid bass" Focal speakers. These P-57s put them all to shame. Crisp and clear! From reading other posts, I guess they only get better(bass wise) with use. My work commute just got 10 times better.
Pros: Crisp clear sound Easy to install(watch youtube video for specifics) Awesome price and well worth it
Great sound quality, plenty of bump and clear vocals.
not any mid bass at all decent highs , factory sounds better , would be good for door
Pros: decent highs
Cons: no mids at all
This is a good upgrade from factory,The highs and mids are better than stock,
Pros: Great price, good warranty
They sound great with all most any music. Even with a stock system it can truly still bring out the music especially for the price. Also comes with wiring adapters for your automobile which is very nice
Pros: Price Very boomy for a speaker Looks good
4 Solid stars for these speakers. I wanted inexpensive speakers for the rear door in my truck. These fit the bill and perform as described on crutchfield.com They are not great, but WAY better than stock I would have given 5 stars but one was defective (solder that holds speakers wires to metal speaker body broke). Would buy them again knowing what they are and importantly what they are not.
Pros: Price, fit, decent sound.
Cons: wrinkle coat paint may flake off, but who cares - they are hidden in the door. Also weak solder on wiring tabs.
Best sounding speakers I've heard for the price, Packaging was excellent. you get a master installation sheet for your specific vehicle, with the correct pigtails making installation so easy
Pros: Quality product, easy install instructions,
Bought these to replace the awful stock speakers in my 2010 Ford Escape. Without even needing to get an amp, this increased the quality and volume of the sound noticeably. Can't beat these for the price.
Bought these to replace stock front + rear on a 2011 F150 Supercrew along with the Sound Ordinance 8" powered sub. Nice range, much smoother and clearer than stock...little sub adds just enough bottom to complete the 5x7's bass. Really work well on accoustic/finger style guitar tracks. Not a huge thumper but I'm beyond needing that...
Pros: Great price, good warranty, good quality for price, fast shipping! Crutchfield-provided master sheets are are great to help with installs!
Replaced stock speakers after 10yrs wish I would've done it sooner. Wife wants to upgrade now she says it sounds like a concert in my truck.
Pros: Worth the $
This is a good upgrade from factory. These are nice and crisp. You can not beat these for the price !
Pros: Great upgrade from factory.
Cons: Not much bottom end, but these are a small speaker and that is what they make subs for.
Speakers fit perfect. Packaged well. They're not expensive speakers, can't ask for much, but was pleasantly surprised by their sound quality. A nice alternative to pricier 'named brand' speakers.
Pros: Cheap. Nice sound for the money.
Cons: None really.
You really can't beat these speakers especially for the price and they actually sound good. Installed them on my 04 expedition.
Pros: Price, sound is great
Cons: None so far
Great at mid volume. remember you get what you pay for. i am pleased
Good for the price. A little better that my premium stock system but lacks the bass the stock had. The highs and mids are better than stock.
Pros: Clean sound
Cons: Lacks low bass.
Great bang for the buck!! I started with front two and just finished the rear. Great upgrade from stock.
Pros: Easy to install great upgrade great sound
Great speakers. Huge difference between stock in my Ford E350. They are a little bright. Need some more break in time. Running them off a 3 year old Alpine receiver. For 30 bucks you just cant go wrong. Decent bass, and you really cant beat Crutchfield with all the installation instructions and wiring harness. That's why I have been a customer here for over 20 years. Thanks for a REALLY AFFORDABLE upgrade.
Pros: Well made. Decent bass.
I really didn't know what to expect when I ordered these speakers. I read the mostly very positive reviews, saw the 3 year warranty, and then thought to myself that there is no way Crutchfield would let there name be related to a sub par product. I received them incredibly fast and the packaging was very good. Upon installation, I noticed immediately how crisp and clear the silk tweeter was. There is also relatively good mid bass. I used these to replace Memphis SR coaxials and the difference was night and day. You will not find a better performing speaker for this price, or with the peace of mind of a 3 year warranty. I would be willing to pay more for these. Dealing with Crutchfield is always a pleasure.
Pros: -Well made -Very clear highs -Silk tweeter is not harsh sounding -Solid midbass -Price -3 year warranty
These sound great and at a good price. strongly recommend trying a pair.
Pros: great price, good sound, great fit.
Cons: none i can see
Expected more than they delivered after reading good feedback and hearing from Crutchfield that they are a good value upgrade. They sound MAYBE ever so slightly better than my stock speakers. Not worth the effort of taking them out, shipping them back and putting in replacements. I REALLY liked my Kickers bought earlier from Crutchfield. The Kickers were 3X the price of the PAR-57, but worth it.
Pros: Crisp highs. Very inexpensive.
Cons: Super heavy bass. Had to shift my bass output to completely flat to keep them from booming. Hardly worth my time for installation.
Received in short time . Speakers were put in rear doors no muss no fuss just like in instructions! sound great
Pros: Sound great ease of instilation!
I have the Sony WX-GT90BT and needed something a bit better to keep up with it. I replaced all four door speakers with these. Definately a noticable difference, a little more thump. They fit right in the factory mounting location. As always Crutchfield directions for door panel removal was spot on and made install a breeze.
Speakers sound good. I think I need to install an amplifier to push them a little more
These are very good speakers. The price can't be beat. I would, knowing what I know now, spring for 3-ways but they still rock. Crutchfield provides free speaker to make adapters which is freaking awesome and makes install a breeze.
Pros: Price, clarity, installation ease.
Cons: For the price I can't think of any cons.
So wanting to go through and redo a vehicles system is expensive, you know, I know it, even your mother knows it! When I ordered these speakers, I was skeptical because of the price, I was worried that I would be telling people "I got what I paid for!" Truth is I would be willing to spend more on these speakers now that I have put them in and listened to them! I have a 06 f150 Super crew that came with factory tweeters, the S/O tweeters put them to shame! I recommended Crutchfield, and the Sound Ordinance speakers to all my friends who are all in shock when I tell them the price!
Pros: Durable, held up to me smashing together the wires. Price is excellent. Quality is through the roof! Materials are top notch!
Cons: I feel like the connector board from the speaker to the harness they provide is a little flimsy, you have to be kinda careful when putting on the negative, if you push to hard, you will bend the metal that the board is laying on!
I first off want to say that when I got these speakers one did have a rattle, I called the support number and they sent me a new set within days with no questions asked. Very happy with the service and these speakers hit the highs ans miss perfectly! They go nicely with my sub that I also ordered. Overall very happy with Crutchfield.
Pros: Good speakers for the dollar amount
I put these speakers in a 2005 f150 and they sound great! Way better than the factory speakers. The wiring harnesses that came with them fit my truck perfectly and installation was easy. Crutchfield said they wouldn't fit the rear doors but I tried them and they do.
Pros: Great bass, crisp sound
I put a pair of these speakers in the back doors on my 2011 F-150 and they sound great. I also have an alpine amp driving the speakers so it it is not just the stock unit. The price was very good and I really wasn't expecting too much but they are really crisp. Great value for the price
Pros: price and great sound and they fit perfectly
Cons: none that I have found
I put these in my 08 f250. Sound way better than factory speakers. The price was right and Crutchfield (as always) makes the installation fool proof. The speakers are very well made and they have nice highs and clean mids.
Pros: Quality, sound.
These speakers came in a nice box from Sound Ordinance. The install was very simple with the instructions and install kit from Crutchfield. These speakers were installed in a 1998 F150 XLT. Sound from these speakers is a great improvement over stock, but if you are an audiophile you will be disappointed. You get what you pay for and just for a simple upgrade to stock speakers these are great. If you are looking to wind sound competitions these will not work for you.
Pros: Ease of installation
Cons: These do not exactly fit the stock speaker hole in a 1998 Ford F150. The stock hole is slightley larger. The cushion ring that comes with these speakers that is to fit between the truck and the speaker falls into the hole.
An audiophile by background, who's scratch built tri-amped home audio speakers, I've been disappointed with every car audio speaker I've tried before these (JBL, Polk, Boss, and others) They were all atrocious sounding for one reason or another, generally (shrill sounding) peaky response in the 2-4khz range leading to listener fatigue at higher volumes (where I like to listen).
There was a set of Sound Ordnance speakers already installed in my wifes car when she got it, I googled them and was a bit skeptical of them by the price and other peoples comments and speculation. However, after listening to them a bit, I liked them so much I bought a set to replace the JBL "power series" speakers I had in my car. They are great sounding speakers, and cheap too!
I'd highly recommend these, as they outperform other car audio speakers costing many times more.
Pros: These are great sounding speakers, excellent bass response, and reasonably smooth sound. They sound great turned up. They also have a cross over (6db/octave on the woofer with a choke, 6db/octave tweeter with a capacitor). Not many speakers in this price range with a low pass on the woofer. This is part of the reason they sound great.
Cons: No cons really, except that they are made in China (like everything else)
A decent replacement speaker for the money. Not great sound quality.
Pros: Fit perfectly.
Cons: Sound is a little sub-par
These are great and I really enjoy these in my mazda 3.. Just wired them in and about 2 hours and it was a Amazing improvement!! A must have for any one that likes music of any kind!! This is coming from a guy that has put in radio after radio
Last week I was looking for speakers. Forgot that Crutchfield carried auto gear...shame on me! Could not find any site that could tell me what fit my '13 F-150. Crutchfield did ...and some! Prompt delivery and easy installation. Sound is much better than the Ford of China. paper diaphragm, so called speakers that came with this not so inexpensive truck. There was a price change shortly after arrival..10 dollars to my credit. .Crutchfield honored the change enthusiastically!
Pros: Ease of installation per instructions. No surprises. Wife and I had both installed in 4- ish minutes.
Cons: I have yet to notice any cons!
Great speaker fit perfect great sound
Pros: Price and easy installation
great speakers great price!
Nice product, fits as advertised.
Pros: decent sound for the price
Cons: none really, considering what they cost.
Excellent product especially with the price. I wanted a complete matching set and sound ordinance delivered. Good clean/full sound with easy install/mounting.
Pros: Clean look and sound.
Cons: If running an external amplifier, these speakers probably won't be able to handle it. Good sound off the head unit.
Replaced factory speakers with this. Nice upgrade but not amazing.
I read a lot of reviews regarding these speakers and decided to purchase them because most reviews were good. I already had some other speakers in the front of my car by another manufacturer that I was happy with but I decided to try these out for the rear doors because the price was the same. Well they didn't come close to meeting my standards. I listen to all kinds of music and these speakers began to hiss due to the bass associated with metal, so you could imagine what rap would do. If you like rich tones without buzzing or hissing I would not recommend these speakers.
Cons: Not good for any music with rich bass tones especially low bass
For the money these are not bad. I had the front set wear out on me after 18 months (off a factory deck). Pretty clean and can here different tones well. The only other thing is that they do not clear the highs well.
Pros: Price and design.
Cons: Do not clear highs well and durability.
When they say 1 day shipping, they mean 1 day. I do not touch electronics because I'm afraid of messing up a project. After seeing that a different electronics retailer would charge $160 just to install 4 speakers I looked at Crutchfield and decided to try it out. If you follow the directions this is a pretty easy task. I did all four speakers in my truck in 1.5 hours. It would have taken less time if I didn't break my socket wrench. I highly recommend these speakers as a replacement to the "made in china" factory speakers. If you want bass you will need a sub but other than that they sound great. Take the panel off, plug and play. Simple as that. Also buy the 3 piece door panel tool set. well worth the money. I still cannot believe my factory speakers has a Ford symbol on them and made in china underneath.
Pros: Great upgrade for the money. Easy to install.
I purchased these 2 sets of these speakers for my mom for Christmas. The sound quality of these speakers if far superior to the stock 06 ford escape junkers. its only been a month or so since they were installed, so far so good! Crutchfield is the only place i buy any audio components from which is credited to their excellent customer service and return policy. I have purchased plenty of sound ordnance products from amps to speakers, they are well built for the price point and have yet to disappoint! I plan to continue to purchase high quality products for years to come!
Pros: good mids and highs, price, mastersheet, customer service, 3 year warranty!
Cons: none so far!
Received these as a Christmas Gift to replace the fronts stock speakers in my truck. I studied the directions and then searched "2010 Ford F 150 door panel removal" and found a great video on how to do this. Highly recommend getting a plastic door panel removal kit so you don't scratch the surrounding plastic when removing the power panels and screw fascia plates behind the door pulls and hand pulls. I made a hook out of a wire coat hanger to remove the plate behind the door handle - worked great!. Installation of the speakers from this point is a breeze. After checking the speakers , I replaced everything and went for a drive to listen. BIG diffidence! Much cleaner highs and it sounds like a new system. For the $$s spent on the speakers ( with the free adapters for the speaker wires and these were a gift to boot ) I will be replacing the rears very soon. Very pleased with these speakers . For a straight switchout with no other upgrades I recommend these speakers very much.
Pros: Clean sounding, easy installation
Got the HD Radio JVC head unit for as a gift and installed in my 2001 Miata with factory speaker to learn how bad the factory speaker really were... 10 minutes later I was on Crutchfield.com looking at speakers. Ordered these speakers and arrived a few days later. These units were very inexpensive so my expectations were not too high. WOW - these speakers blew me away. Great sound through the mid, good highs, and very good bass. The install instructions were dead on (door panel removal) and the included adapter made install a breeze in about 10 minute cause the door panels were already removed (using Miata information sheet from the JVC Head install).
Pros: PRICE, install is a snap, Crutchfield support, perfect 2-way speaker
Cons: Bass does not go as low as a sub-woofer, but it i s not designed for that (might get sub later)
Speakers fit well and are a great improvement over the stock speakers that they replaced. That is not to say that they are the best speakers for your given application or tastes.
Pros: Good fit and sound.
Cons: Not the best but certainly better than stock.
'I bought four of these to go in a '91 explorer to go with a new Alpine CDE-124SXM2. Installed easy into the doors of the four door Ford. The wire harness was easy to go with the Ford harness but a bit tight on the male contacts on the speakers. I had to use a little grease to get them on. Sound is very nice and bass response is pretty solid. They will buzz if you get too crazy with the volume (alpine has 50 peak watts)
Pros: Easy install. Good sound. Deep bass.
Cons: None as of yet.
Excellent sound without an amp! Good for all sorts of music. I prefer rock and sum dusties and the imaging and clarity is amazing.
Pros: Easy to install
Good clear sound, fit right in
They sound good but I can't tell the difference after removing the 7 year old-Ford stock speakers.... Hope they last as long or more....
Installed these in the rear deck of a 1987 Plymouth Gran Fury/Salon with stock amp/radio, the install should be similar to other M-body Chrysler cars of that period. Installation was mostly painless, the speakers fit in the stock speaker holes and screwed in using the same holes. The only issue is that they stick out more than the stock speakers and they prevent my rear deck cover from being put back on correctly. I have cut holes in the cover and I may put an aftermarket grille over the speakers or make a whole new deck cover from scratch. This is a cosmetic issue, but is something good to know for others with similar vehicles. However, the sound quality is greatly improved, the bass is deeper and the highs are much crisper than the stock speakers. These speakers really are incredible for the price. I will recommend them to anyone looking to improve their car audio quality on a budget.
Pros: Improved sound quality, bass, and treble. Easy installation.
Cons: May interfere with 1980's M-body Chrysler rear deck covers.
What can I say that all of the other reviews haven't already said perfectly. These are nice speakers, nice clear sound, carries nice bass (to a point), and mids and highs sound great.
Pros: Lots of bang for the buck
Cons: None so far
For the price, this speaker sounds great. Much better sound than the factory Ford speakers in my F-150! Great range and deep bass from my new JVC Arsenal head unit.
Pros: Good highs and lows
Was looking for speaker upgrades since one of the Ford Focus OE speakers started "buzzing". "Chad" was very knowledgeable / helpful with recommendations and answering all of my questions.
Just installed the speakers this weekend. Good instruction sheets from CF about how to remove the door panels / parts and OE speakers. Took about 30 minutes to complete the first speaker. After that about 10 minutes each for the remaing 3 speakers. They were easy to install into the doors; no modifications needed. The speaker wires supplied by CF were an exact match / fit to the OE wires. Everything worked on the first try.
Improved sound from the P57's; clearer / higher highs, better / lower bass. And can play much louder without distortion ! Very nice upgrade and at a resonable cost / should have changed the OE speakers a long time ago !
Pros: See review
I put these in my 2012 F150 to replace the stock standard front door speakers that come with the XLT model. The Sound Ordnance speakers are a huge upgrade over stock, and can handle much louder music without distortion. They put out slightly better bass, but the real improvement is with the overall sound. Highs and mids are much much clearer and can handle more than the 50% volume limit of the stock speakers. I will be ordering another set for the rear doors shortly. Very impressed with these speakers considering their cost.
Pros: Very clear, no distortion at high volume, better base and sound clarity
great sounding speakers ,very happy with puchase.
Installed these in the back of my 2004 F150 super cab. Crutchfield's installation kit and directions made the install a piece of cake. Entire door panel has to be removed to install, yet I finished in about 1/2 an hour (both speakers, doors reassembled and tools put away). They sound great! Very even across the audio spectrum. Plenty of bass. Especially excellent at the price!
Pros: Inexpensive. Easy install. Great Sound.
I debated on giving this 4 or 5 stars and I chose 5 due to the price. The sound is great even with a stock head unit. I just put these in the doors of my F150 and couldn't be happier. The sound is great. I chose these speakers for two reasons. First, obviously the price is hard to beat. Second, I purchased a Sound Ordnance amplifier a few years ago to power a 10" sub in my previous car. I was skeptical at first but the Crutchfield adviser told me it was a good product and I took a chance on it, he was right and it was a great amp. Knowing that Sound Ordnance produces a good product I didn't think twice about purchasing these speakers. If you're looking for an upgrade to your factory system but don't want to drop a large amount of money, I highly recommend these speakers.
Pros: Great sound, good bass and highs.
Cons: None so far.
Perfect Fit. I installed them into my 94 Taurus. They fit like OEM took me 15 min for the pair to instal. Sound was fine and as expected. I am useing only the factory head unit with no amp. Basicly all stock. The sound was better than the stock speakers.
Pros: Easy install
Cons: I had to do it. Just kidding. No Cons.....
Got these as a cheap replacement for the stock speakers that dry rotted in my 97 Ford Econoline. I have to admit that for the price I expected the stock style replacement speakers you would usually get through your local mega-store or mail order. What I got was much better! For the price, you can't beat these speakers to replace your old stock units.
Sound really good, added enough bass to shake my mirrors :) Hits good highs. I only had one issue, when mounting to my 2000 Ford ranger, the mounts on the speaker did not match up with the holes for the grille. So I had to file the mounting to have screws line up. But these are great for the price, I couldnt ask for more.
Pros: Bass, Highs, Increase in sound, cheap, clear sound
Cons: Had to file mounts, pretty sure tweeter hits my grille :/
Great sound for the price! Much cleaner sound than factory speakers. 2000 Ford Ranger w/o amp and below average after-market stereo. Will be considering a small 4 channel amp in the future
Pros: Price. Mid-highs. Fitment.
Cons: Bass is still lacking somewhat, but for the price and size it is still very good.
Great speakers for an old, hard of hearing, bald guy who just wants to listen to music & talk radio, especially the price and ease of installation. Speakers mounted in existing holes and Ford wiring harness supplied was just plug in and forget. Sounds so much better than stock.
Good sounding speakers, able to take lots of power.
These speakers blew away my expectations for the price. At first they didn't have amazing bass, but after the week break in period they have amazing bass for the price. I'd recommend any sound ordnance gear to a friend.
powered by just deck its great but when i threw some power 35 watts at it with an amp the speaker started to crumble under strain even with a high pass filter on them, but if your getting these your probably not going to worry about an amp so they will do you just fine and fun with them
Initially I was a bit worry about it but once I got them and listen to their, I was sold. In my opinion they sound way better then the Pionners I have purchase before Great Product, great sound very good price
put these in a 2008 focus along with 300hz bass blockers. sound as good as components i had for an amazing price! clear even when cranked and bass turned up on factory deck as my subwoofer taps into speaker output.
Good sound, well built and good quality.
These sound great. Perfect replacement over stock. Installed very easy and would recommend them to anyone. I didn't want to spend a lot and these were perfect.
I bought 2 sets of these to replace my stock 2000 Ford Taurus speakers, as replacement speakers they are a bit of an upgrade but after adding an amp to get a little more power I learned it added little improvement. They have very little bass response and the tweeters are way to bright. I wound up taking them out and putting them in my boat and replacing them with Pioneer 5x7 3 ways which sound much better. I would say if you need replacement speakers don't buy these, spend 20.00 more and get the Pioneers or Kenwood brand.
I was very satisfied with the p-57 5x7 speakers I installed in my f150 crewab. I used infinity reference speakers in the past and I always thought they sounded to bright during high volume. After talking with the crutchfield tech he assured me these speakers would sound better at high volume. He was right.
Very satisfied withe the P-57 5x7 speakers I installed all 4 of them in our 1994
Ranger. Very simple to install with the factory quick connect wiring harness that
was included. The sound is very clean and clear even with the factory radio
that came with the truck. I had forgotton how good the radio sounded. For the
budget price they are a good value.
Good sounding speakers for great price. Installed these to replace factory rear door
speakers in a 2000 Ford Explorer. They are a nice improvement. Thought I would save
some dough by going with Crutchfield's inhouse brand and I am not disappointed.
Would have given a 5* rating but speaker design limits application in all 5X7
locations...i.e. I couldn't install these in the front doors due to space requirements.
Bought these to replace the door speakers on my 2002 Ford Ranger. They line up perfectly and easily, the free wire adapters that come from Crutchfield work as they should and are $15 locally so in total it was a great investment. Replacement took all of about 20 minutes for both doors.
The only reason I put 4 stars instead of 5 is that I am sure there are better speakers, but for the price you can't go wrong in my opinion.
Sound is good even with factory radio.
Great service and fast shipping with Crutchfield.
Bought these for the rear deck of my sons vehicle. He is 17 and we have built a
nice system in his car using Sound Ordinance gear. For the $ - am very happy.
The sound is very good. He also has 5 1/4 component S/O in front doors and 2 -12
inch Rockford subs driven by SO mono amp in a S/O bass bunker. We are very happy
with the gear and sound. He thinks Crutchfield should send him a big S/O sticker
or sponsor more S/O gear in his vehicle since we went out and put as much S/O
gear in his vehicle.
I just installed four of these in my 2004 crew cab F150. A definite improvement over the
stock speakers. After getting them on sale, I only paid $75 for all four including the free
wiring harnesses. Hard to beat that deal. I wanted Polks, but figured I would give these
a shot and I am not disappointed.
I recently bought a Pioneer receiver for my 2001 Focus and realized immediately that I should have bought new speakers to replace the paper cone factory speakers. The car- specific selector on the Crutchfield site pulled these babies up and I had a hunch from the beginning that they would rock. I was not disappointed.
Once I was able to get the panels off the doors and rear seat, the new speakers fit like a glove. The included car-specific wiring harness meant no solder connections, no possibility of reversed polarity (so no phase cancellation). I put the panels back on, turned on my stereo... and WOW! Punch, clarity, great sound. I highly recommend these speakers to anyone who paid less than $200 for a new receiver. You will not regret it!
Speakers sound great and work very well with powered head units - would sound
even better with amplifier.
I have an '06 Ford Focus ZX3 with an aftermarket JVC stereo and installed Polk Audio db571's front and rear. One of the 4 blew out (why I don't know), I replaced the front pair with these Sound Ordnance P57's. I really like my music and I think these P57's sound as good as the Polk's at half the cost. If you are like me and are not running a higher power amp and only have a stereo upgrade or factory stereo . . . . these are great sounding speakers you WILL NOT be disappointed, especially Ford owners with the 5x7's.
Crutchfield comes thru again!!! First, I ordered Pioneer 5 1/4" speakers and was not happy with them. With Crutchfield, returns are not a problem, they want you to be a happy customer. I will never, never buy from a box store or a car audio store again. With the installation kits, instructions and harnesses that are included with a Crutchfield order you can do it yourself and save $$$$.
I purchased two sets of the P-57's for my 2003 Ford Escape. After replacing the factory head unit, I found that the factory speakers weren't up to the task of handling the extra power. I was looking for the best bang for my buck. The P-57's so far seem to fit the bill. I can now hear the highs and mids that the factory speakers couldn't reproduce. Definately a good deal.
On another note, Crutchfield has once again proven themselves as the place to go for car audio. Quality products, good prices, and quick delivery are Crutchfield standards. Also the FREE wire adapters and FREE installation instructions make the install process smooth as silk. It took me longer to adjust my head unit than it did to install all 4 speakers!!
