About the Sound Ordnance™ P-69B

Alexander H.

Battle strong

The Sound Ordnance line has proven to be a Crutchfield customer favorite and reliable choice in the battle for great sound. Sound Ordnance's P-69B 6"x9" speakers ensure that you're armed and ready for serious knob-cranking when the mood strikes you. Their polypropylene woofers make powerful replacements for low-functioning factory speakers, giving your music plenty of punch for the long haul. And the silk dome tweeters lift you out of the fray with smooth, natural-sounding highs. Combine all of that with rugged design touches and a solid steel speaker basket, and everyone will know that you don't mess around when it comes to car audio.

Rock with confidence

As always, Sound Ordnance's impressive 3-year warranty gives you plenty of time to get comfortable with this kind of firepower in your vehicle.

Q
How is the bass quality compared to other companies?(JBL, Alpine, etc.) Also, does it have a significantly better bass compared to the 5x7 speakers?

A
It has better bass than some but not all. I recommend contacting an advisor on 1-800-324-9695 to discuss your goals and preferences to get a personal recommendation.

Q
Why will these not fit into my 2012 Dodge Ram Crew Cab rear doors? They are listed as having only a 3" mounting depth, yet the Kicker 41KSC694 has a depth of 3-3/16" and they "fit". Also, what is the restriction on the front doors?
christopher  Mar 03, 2016
1 answer
A
Mounting depth is only one of the reasons that a speaker might not fit. There could also be issues with magnet diameter, height, mounting style, etc To discuss the specifics on your vehicle please contact an Advisor by phone (1-800-324-9695) or online chat. They will be able to pull up your vehicle and give you the details on why this doesn't fit, what the restrictions, and help you choose the best speakers for your system.
