Dave Bar

Legendary Grado sound for home or portable listening

With their retro-cool looks and up-to-the-minute sound quality, Grado's lightweight SR60i headphones make the perfect companions for at-home or on-the-go listening. This perennial audio bargain sounds simply amazing. You'll enjoy warm, lively, detailed sound with that "you are there" feeling. These 'phones can easily be driven with your portable music player, and include a 1/4" adapter plug so you can enjoy 'em on your home system, too.

Born in Brooklyn and built to perform

Each pair of SR60i headphones is made right in Brooklyn, New York where the Grado family has been building award-winning audio gear for almost 60 years. Like all Grado headphones, the SR60i uses a vented "open-air" earcup design with large, non-resonant air chambers for powerful, extended bass response and more open, spacious sound. Each driver features a high-quality copper voice coil to ensure smooth, dynamic performance with exceptionally low distortion. Drivers are also carefully matched to within 0.1 dB for enhanced stereo imaging and a wide soundstage.

Product Research

Features

Vented diaphragm: Grado headphones have a vented diaphragm design for a large, airy, three-dimensional sound.

Drivers: The diaphragm is made of a low mass polymer, developed with the compliance of the suspension in mind to achieve the desired low frequency response. The diaphragm's total mass is designed to provide a full 20 kHz bandwidth, while avoiding break-up at lower frequencies. The left and right drivers are matched to within 0.1 dB for exact imaging.

No volume control on the headset. Make adjustment using whatever device you are plugged into. I must tell you that this headset is one of the best things I have ever chosen to buy. The sound fidelity is incredible.

Grado SR60i does not have volume control, nor a microphone for use with a smart phone. The "i" designation in many products suggests that it is compatible with Apple products, but in this case the "i" designation (I believe) refers to "improved" when Grado released the most recent update of their headphone line.
