These days, you're far more likely to have photos stored on your computer than have negatives hidden in a box or printouts to hold onto your memories forever. Picture Keeper makes it easy to back up the images on your computer so you'll have a second copy of all your irreplaceable family photos.

The Picture Keeper is extremely easy to use, too. Plug the included cable into a USB port on your computer and with one click, it searches for photo files and creates a backup copy. After you've added more pictures to your computer, connect the Picture Keeper again and it'll back up just the new photos without creating duplicates of your older photos. This is a great way to preserve memories for years to come.

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

The Device did not function as advertised. After I connected device and started Backup, it downloaded photos of the Music CD's on my computer. I reset device, checked my Photo File and tried Backup again, it downloaded temporary Internet files and a lot of my browsing activity. It found every image on my computer except my Photo File. I am returning the device. Thank you.

Pros: None that I could discern.

Cons: Does not function as advertised.

Effortless backup

Written By Jim B, manorville, NY on Tuesday, January 24, 2012

The best thing I can say is that it works as advertised. These days that says it all. It scanned my system and picked up over 50,000 photos from my collection without any interaction on my part other than plugging it in. Intial backup took hours which is understandable.

Pros: Easy Install. Effortless Backup

Cons: None so far

Now there's no excuse for not backing up pictures

Written by Ralph Graves, Staff Writer - Creative, on 2/20/2012 2:27:00 PM

Backing up pictures to an external disc is easy, right? You just open up your folders, select the images, drag them to the external drive folder and... yeah. Simple in concept, time-consuming in execution. Not so when I tried out the Picture Keeper Pro.

Once I plugged it into the USB port, I opened up drive's window and away we went. All I had to do was select "Start Backup" and the Picture Keeper copied all my photos (and their folders) over. Within a few minutes, everything was done, and I could then run slideshows from the Picture Keeper, or plug it into another computer and copy pictures.

Very simple, very handy -- and much easier then the way I backed up images before. One word of caution, though. The instructions recommend you organize your pictures BEFORE copying. That's a good idea. If your folders are all in order before copying, images will be much easier to find afterwards.
