The rechargeable battery lasts up to one week on a single charge, with adjustable settings to extend battery life.

PocketFinder includes a rugged ballistic nylon device holder that attaches to your dog's collar two different ways for maximum comfort without danger of tearing or catching on brush or low-hanging branches. The Pet GPS Locator is recommended for dogs 20 pounds and heavier.

The PocketFinder uses GPS technology to report and record your pet's location, direction, speed and travel history. The interface makes it easy to set geo-fence zones, so it's especially helpful when you want to know when your dog has escaped your property. You can also set speed limit warnings to alert you that Rover's been picked up by a moving vehicle. Overview: The Pocketfinder GPS Pet Locator, from Location Based Technology (LBT), is a GPS tracking device that provides real-time location information for your pet. It lets you know where your pet is at any time through the Pocketfinder website or on your smartphone through a free mobile app.
Usage: The waterproof device is made of military-grade plastics, and is able to withstand most any condition. It is designed to be attached to your pet's collar or harness, using the included clip-on case. The rubberized case further protects the unit from the elements for better reliability and longer life. The unit is small and light (1.4 ounces), and is ideal for pets 20 pounds and larger.
How It Works: The GPS Pet Locator utilizes the latest in Assisted GPS (A-GPS) technology. Motion sensors are used to provide location updates every 1, 3, or 5 minutes (you select the interval), and is accurate to within 10 feet. The device is powered by a built-in rechargeable battery, and comes with a charging base. Typically, a charge lasts 3-4 days. The location, heading, and speed data can be pinpointed on Google Premier mapping, available on the Pocketfinder website, or on a free mobile app on iOS, Blackberry, and Android devices.
Advanced Features: The Pocketfinder Personal GPS Locator has the following features:
- Geo-Fence: You can set up an unlimited number of geo-fence zones, such as your home, yard, neighborhood, park, or office. You will receive alerts when your pet enters the zone, exits the zone, or both.
- Speed Limits: You can set a speed limit for the device. If your pet suddenly starts moving faster than it should be, you will receive an alert.
- Alerts: Alerts can be received via email, SMS (text message), or push notifications.
- History: You can view up to 60 days of detailed location history
Your Account: A contract-free subscription is required (currently $12.95 per month) for each device.
