Product Research

Features

Media HUB Adapter Kit: The iDatalink Maestro ACC-USB-RAM is a Media Hub Adapter Kit which allows you to replace the factory Media Hub circuit board in the center console of select 2013-2017 RAM trucks so that you can retain your vehicle's factory USB & Aux input location, when replacing the factory radio with an aftermarket head unit. Your aftermarket head unit must feature a rear-panel USB (type-A) port and Aux input.

Note: As long as your new car stereo has a high-amperage charging port (1.5A or greater), this USB adapter harness should support Apple CarPlay and Android Auto operation. However, the number of variables involved means we can't guarantee compatibility.

Vehicle Compatibility: The iDatalink Maestro ACC-USB-RAM is compatible with the following 2013-2017 RAM trucks (as of 10/30/2019).

Make Model Screen Size  Year
RAM 1500 3" Factory Screen 2013-2017

A
Yes it will work just fine. You have to install this setup in your console if you want to be able to use your usb/ aux ports with your aftermarket radio. It will work perfect for you

A
It's a USB medium universal to any stereo with USB I would imagine! I used mine with a Pioneer AVH-211 EX in my 15 Ram 2500.

Q
Will this work to replace a faulty board paired with factory head unit?

A
I don't think so. It is meant to be paired with the maestro stereo harness. After I installed my new head unit, the new unit wouldn't recognize the factory usb until I replaced with this. So I can only assume that this would NOT replace a factory usb
brandon  May 30, 2019
A
I am not sure as I replaced the head unit with it

If this item doesnt support CarPlay will is still allow for charging your iPhone? Just like some additional clarity because a message popes up in my cart when I added this item as $154.95 installation kit for an 7 inch? alpine in dash receiver that has CarPlay as a feature.

I use CarPlay and what I did is to install a separate USB port in the dash and connect that one to usb 1 and the. Use the usb-ram in usb2 for other media. Yes it does support charging iPhones as well.

I purchase the alpine 007ilx, needed this component to enable the use of the media hub in the center console of my 13 ram. charges my iPhone 6 and car play feature functions normally
bobby  Dec 12, 2017

I used it directly south my pioneer head unit and factory ports in the center console. Everything works fine
matthew  Dec 12, 2017

It will work with Alpine not with Kenwood.

How does this hook up? Bought a pioneer double din and would like to use the stock usb and aux.

You have to replace the usb circuit board with this circuit board. I hooked mine up to my pioneer head unit and the supplied usb that connects to the back of the unit didn't make a good connection to the USB port on the unit, so I disconnected it and used the cord supplied with the head unit. I don't use the i datalink. Not sure if it's the cord or the unit.

The instructions were included in mine. Its a straight swap for the existing hardware.
chad  Nov 14, 2017
A
You have to take the inside of the center console apart. You will change out the existing usb circuit board and replace it with the ine from crutchfield. TBH mine has never worked.
joseph  Nov 14, 2017
A
you dont need it. i bought it and hooked up everything else first. then when i tested my set up my stock center consel worked perfect
