Solar power for when you're packing light

Goal Zero Guide 10 Plus Solar Kit

This compact go-anywhere kit combines Goal Zero's Guide 10 Plus rechargeable battery pack and Nomad 7 folding solar panel. Together they'll keep your handheld gear going strong. Their small size and light weight makes them perfect for tossing in a backpack for recharging power wherever and whenever you need it.

The Guide 10 Plus is best used with your smaller USB powered devices. Charge AA/AAA batteries from the sun or any USB port, then power your phone, camera or GPS, or even perk up your tablet in a pinch.

The Nomad 7 is an ultra-compact yet powerful solar panel that enables you to charge your handheld devices directly from its USB and 12 Volt DC charging ports.

Two ways to charge the Guide 10 Plus

To keep the Guide 10 Plus charged up and ready to go, connect it to the Nomad 7 solar panel and place it in the sun. Or, you can plug the Guide 10 Plus into any USB power source, such as a laptop.

    Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

This is a great product based on usage of my friend's kit. I haven't had the chance to try mine yet, but I would not have bought it if it wasn't good. Goodbye to alkaline batteries on hunting trips!

Pros: It recharges batteries while off the grid.

    Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

So far so good, I have field tested this already a couple of times. I timed how long it takes for a cell phone charge, does actually better, 30 mins faster than what what the box says it will take. I bought for that primary reason. The panels are very compact and built sturdy. This little kit comes with everything you need. I bought my nomad 7 with the battery charger, also works great, charges batteries just like it said it would.

Pros: Compact, light, great for emergencies

    Cons: None
