Features
Overview: The Wagan Power Dome EX is a 12 volt DC power supply
designed to jump start a car; it also features a DC power socket (cigarette lighter
socket), a DC-to-AC power inverter, an AM/FM radio, USB power port, an air compressor,
and a work light, all in one convenient package. Both AC and DC adapters are included
for charging the internal 12 volt/17 amp hour lead-acid battery.
Jump-Starting a Vehicle's Engine: You can use the Power Dome EX
to jump-start a vehicle or boat engine that has a 12 volt starting battery using the
built-in, 6 gauge jumper cables. The unit provides 600 amps, sufficient for starting
most automotive or marine engines.
DC Power Socket: The DC power socket allows the Power Dome EX to
operate 12 volt DC auto, RV, marine, and other portable appliances that draw 11 amps
or less.
AC Outlets: The Power Dome EX has two 3-prong outlets that supply
115 volt/60 Hz AC power for running AC appliances. You can run two appliances if the
total rating does not exceed 400 watts. The inverter can supply momentary surge power
up to 1000 watts.
Built-in AM/FM Radio: The analog radio is powered by the internal
battery. When listening to AM radio, due to signal interference, operating an AC
appliance is not recommended. For better reception, extend the telescoping 14"
antenna mast.
USB Power Port: The USB type A port supplies 5 volts/500 mA to
power or charge USB devices (cell phone, PDA, MP3 player, etc).
Air Compressor: The Power Dome EX has a built-in 260 PSI air
compressor for inflating tires and other inflatable items. The compressor hose has
a nozzle for a Schrader valve (standard car tire valve) and includes a Presta valve
adapter, an inflating needle, and a universal adapter. An analog pressure gauge is provided.
Built-in Light: The Power Dome EX has a built-in work light with
5 LEDs.
Battery Status Meter: The unit has an analog dial showing the
current voltage of the internal battery, and the percentage of its charge. You
should recharge the battery every three months, even if it's not used.
Initial Use: Prior to using the Power Dome EX for the first
time, the battery should be charged for 48 hours using the AC adapter.
