Product Research

Features

Overview: The Concertone M1 is a weather-resistant coaxial speaker designed to mount on the outside of your RV. The impedance and power handling are matched to the amps in Concertone's receivers. Water resistant polymers are used in both the woofer and tweeter, and the housing is made of UV rated plastic to prevent it from distorting. When mounted the speaker is angled down to keep rain water away from the drivers.

Mounting: Most of the speaker is housed in the M1's surface structure, minimizing the mounting depth needed. Only the magnet and terminals extend below the surface. Four screws are used to mount the M1 (not included).

Q
Do you need to cut a big hole to install them? Or just four small holes for the mounting screws and a hole for the speaker wires?

A
There needs to be an extra hole for the magnet that protrudes. The profile picture shows the part that sticks out.

Chris, You'll need to cut a hole for the magnet. I mounted 6 on my houseboat and in 4 locations I didn't want to cut holes in my helm or flybridge so I bought a 6inx2inx8ft board, cut the board slightly larger than my speakers, left it square shape, then cut a hole large enough for the magnet. Mounted the speaker to the stained board and then mounted the board to my helm and flybridge. These speakers are great. I'm not into the large bass, but volume and clarity they do have. Hope this helps. Jim

4 inch hole with hole saw, they only need about 2 inches of depth though. Hope that helps.

Can't remember if speaker magnet stuck out the back or not. I already had holes because I was replacing speakers on the outside of my camper that went bad. Yes you will need four holes and I used string calk for sealant. So far I am very happy with them.

The center hole is about 4 inches I believe and the for scree holes fall outside this center hole. I used self taking screws to secure the speakers.
