A good card at a decent price, especially as it is a fast class 10 card. Good value, especially when included free in a camera kit. Not sure I would spend the money for it otherwise.

Duane D from Apex, NC on 12/20/2013

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

Speed is fitting for a C10 card but not impressive - on a 110MB file it's consistent 11MB/s write and 19MB/s read. I have a couple older standard SD cards that have faster performance and were the same price point (Kingston C10 which does 16MB write x 27MB read and SanDisk Ultra Ducati which is 13MB write and 22MB read. Really I would lean toward a SanDisk or Kingston UHS-1 card for the same price. The only thing that potentially is better with the Monster card is the durability. Supposedly it has increased protection against shock, humidity, xray, etc - but there is no comparison vs standard SD cards. I would think all SD cards (since they are flash memory) are resistant to these things, but I would have to do some research to find out. If there was some proof that the flash memory was of higher quality (more durable) as well as the casing providing extra protection, then I would certainly take the performance hit in the name of reliability. Nobody wants to risk losing their photos.

Pros: Performs to spec, supposedly extra durable

Cons: Price relative to speed

Crutchfiled is top shelf. You can trust the products listed to function as described. The MonsterCards work well. I store original cards. They are the new film and I hope they last as long . They are the source of raw images that are the ultimate back up for images.

Decent Product, hate the packaging

Mikmax1 from Naperville, il on 5/28/2013

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

The product is of course simple, seems fast enough although I never did any scientific comparisons with similar products. I have a quibble about the clamware plastic packaging, tho. You need to cut it out. I cut too close and nicked the SD card. Probably my fault for not being more careful. Pathetic sometimes that packaging is so rigid that you can damage the product getting to it. However, I purchased a similar Sansa. It had a line to cut, which freed the plastic to part and get to the SD card without cutting near the product.

Pros: Simple, Fast, it works.

Cons: Hard to remove from packaging.
