I honestly can't be certain just yet but I really would not know why not. I'm confident that it will. That is why I recently installed one in my Polaris Ranger 900 XP.

Q
Can i run this unit into an amplifier with speakers running thru the amp? I'm considering this unit as an option for my Honda Pioneer 700-4.

It is fine for that, hooks to amp. It does not have or I have not figured out how to dim the brightness of screen for night driving. Other units with IPX rating might be more water resistant. But my first one lasted over two years witch is ago all we get out here on coast.
nathan  Mar 20, 2019

Yes. It has rca outputs to connect to an amplifier.

The JBL PRV-175 receiver supports wireless audio playback and control of a Bluetooth enabled audio player or smartphone; but it wouldn't transmit audio wirelessly to Bluetooth speaker(s). Can I hook up sirius radio to the JBL PRV-175? Is it capable or do I need another marine radio?

You cannot directly hook up Sirius. But you can use the sirius app on your phone and stream it bluetooth
jeffrey  Jul 20, 2016

This radio has an AUX input that I am sure you could route the Sirus radio through, but it is not set up to control the satellite radio remotely. Blue tooth works great!

Q
Will this unit work with a 24V power source? I see in the manual it specifies at least 11V, but I'm assuming that's for 12V power.

12v only
jeffrey  Jul 20, 2016
A
I am pretty sure that it is designed only for 12 vdc (11 to 15 vdc). If you want to run 12 v products on a 24 v system, they do make converters that will step 24 vdc to 12 vdc. They are not cheap, but it is the safest way to do the voltage step down.
joseph kevin  Jan 19, 2016
A
Not sure. I installed two units on my sailboat down in the BVI's and they are fantastic! I know that they make inexpensive power converters (voltage reducer) that take a 24v power source and convert it to a higher amp 12 v power output. Many off road sites have them. Hope that helps!

I hooked up my receiver temporarily to a battery to make sure everything was working. I disconnected the power to make a more permanent connection and now the Bluetooth is not working. My phone still works with my other Bluetooth capable electronics, but not with this. What am I doing wrong? I would appreciate any help you can provide. Thanks.

Q
How would i go about purchasing the optional remote control package for this unit ?
jeff  Jul 27, 2015
1 answer
A
No idea. This rig is normally operated remotely by an iphone or other device. I didn't even know there was a remote available. I love the JBL and once I connect via Bluetooth I run most everything with my phone - I rarely have to touch the unit for anything other than to turn it on and off.

Q
Can I hook a subwoofer to this unit fairly easy?
greg  Jul 11, 2015
1 answer
A
I forwarded your question to an Advisor and they responded with the following: The unit supports 2 channel RCA preamp outputs to connect to a powered subwoofer, which has a built-in amplifier, or to an external amplifier which matches the subwoofer. The JBL unit does not have subwoofer control or crossover points so you'll need to use the crossover built-in the powered subwoofer or amplifier. If you would like to discuss further you can contact an Advisor directly by phone (1-800-324-9695) or online chat.

What is the highest temperature where JBL PRV 175 is working on? Does it suitable for sauna in 1 meter height from the floor.

Good question. Mine is mounted on the outside of a motorhome so it never sees more than about 90 degrees Fahrenheit. I'd ask the guys at JBL before dropping $220.

The radio hooks up a bit different than most car radios. This radio only has a switched power to it, no constant. Does not lose memory though like a car radio.
