Premier RTA Essex 55" cabinet SimpleConnect 94074

Classic design and practical storage

This Premier RTA Essex cabinet combines a traditional look with spacious storage. The fluted edging on the top and bottom of the piece give it a classic look that blends with both traditional and modern décors. The cabinet can support a flat-panel TV with a screen size of up to 65".

The Essex 94072 can easily hold six components. The three compartments feature adjustable shelves. The two outer compartments have tempered glass doors with brushed nickel hardware. The center compartment is open, ideal for a center channel speaker or a small sound bar. Openings in the back panel let you connect your gear while keeping your cables out of sight.

The cabinet ships flat, but don't worry — putting it together is simplicity itself. Each side has built-in tabs or hooks that fit tightly together — just slide them into place. Simple attractive cabinet at bargain price

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

We were on the edge of buying an $1850 cabinet in the flush of spending several hundred on a new tv from Crutchfield, finally, to replace the crt. Irrational? Checking Crutchfield (for furniture?!) up comes an equally if not more suitable cabinet, which then arrived in short order and fine condition. Two quibbles. I did have to help the UPS delivery with the 110# gross wt box. And the knock-down design of the piece, with holes, pegs, slots and all made generally a very easy fit, with the one task of fitting back-panel in place needing a bit of torsion. Overall, a light mallet also helped, as did careful measuring and drilling to raise the two movable shelves for my LPs to fit under while perching satellite box etc. higher up in the side cupboards.

Overall an excellent piece, the simple design a distinct plus (we have a random selection of antiques and casually picked up furniture among which it is unobtrusive). The height is very good for a 42" tv on its stand.

Pros: Design, price, workmanship

Cons: Limited range of the moveable shelves, but it's easily remedied with a drill.
