About the BOOM Rogue

David Brown

Toughen up your tunes

There are tough headphones. There are stylish headphones. And there are headphones designed for great sound. The Rogue, from BOOM, is all of the above. With a durable polycarbonate headband and soft silicone earpads, these headphones weren't designed for listening while you sit on your couch at home. But just because they're tough and designed for mobile listening, doesn't mean sound quality is an afterthought. Developed in conjunction with Polk Audio, BOOM's sister company, the Rogue has been precision-tuned by Polk engineers, for a well-balanced, accurate presentation of your music the way it was meant to be heard.

Features

Overview: The Rogue by BOOM (Born On Original Motives) is designed for DJ use or at home. Part of the Premium line, the Rogue can withstand the rigors of DJ life. It features soft silicone ear pads and head top cushion, machined metal pivot points, and a tough polycarbonate headband. A 6' coiled cord with a screw-on 1/4" adapter, and a 51" straight cord with in-line remote and microphone are included.

Sound Isolation: The large silicone over-ear earcups provide comfort for long listening sessions, as well as sound isolation. The closed-back design keeps ambient noise to a minimum.

In-line Remote/Microphone: The straight cord includes an in-line 3-button control and microphone for use with most smartphones. The Rogue is certified as "Made for iPod, iPhone, and iPad." Playback controls for iPod, iPhone, and iPad include play/pause, next/previous track, fast forward/fast reverse, and volume +/-. Phone controls for iPhone include answer call, hang up call, decline incoming call, use call waiting, and use voice activation features. Playback and phone controls for other devices are more limited than those of Apple i-devices. The microphone has a frequency response of 200Hz to 10kHz.

Zippered Storage: The Rogue's earcups can swivel and lay flat so you can store the headphones and cables in the 9-1/2" x 8" cloth pouch. The pouch has a large sturdy zipper for secure closure.

Nothing is truly needed. It's more a matter of a want

A
These are not wireless headphones, so they will need to be connected directly to your device.
