Toughen up your tunes

BOOM Rogue headphones

Durable construction designed for on-the-go use (Grey model shown).

There are tough headphones. There are stylish headphones. And there are headphones designed for great sound. The Rogue, from BOOM, is all of the above. With a durable polycarbonate headband and soft silicone earpads, these headphones weren't designed for listening while you sit on your couch at home. But just because they're tough and designed for mobile listening, doesn't mean sound quality is an afterthought. Developed in conjunction with Polk Audio, BOOM's sister company, the Rogue has been precision-tuned by Polk engineers, for a well-balanced, accurate presentation of your music the way it was meant to be heard.

Two cables give you flexibility

With rotating earcups and a detachable 6-foot coiled cable, these headphones are DJ-ready, for spinning sets at parties or clubs. Using them for everyday around-the-town listening? Plug in the mobile cable with a three-button in-line remote for skipping between tracks and adjusting volume on Apple® devices. The remote is also a microphone for making calls with your iPhone®, for hands-free conversations. The Rogue's closed-back design ensures you'll be able to hear your calls clearly, without an excess of external noise.

It features soft silicone ear pads and head top cushion, machined metal pivot points, and a tough polycarbonate headband. A 6' coiled cord with a screw-on 1/4" adapter, and a 51" straight cord with in-line remote and microphone are included.

Sound Isolation: The large silicone over-ear earcups provide comfort for long listening sessions, as well as sound isolation. The closed-back design keeps ambient noise to a minimum.

In-line Remote/Microphone: The straight cord includes an in-line 3-button control and microphone for use with most smartphones. The Rogue is certified as "Made for iPod, iPhone, and iPad." Playback controls for iPod, iPhone, and iPad include play/pause, next/previous track, fast forward/fast reverse, and volume +/-. Phone controls for iPhone include answer call, hang up call, decline incoming call, use call waiting, and use voice activation features. Playback and phone controls for other devices are more limited than those of Apple i-devices. The microphone has a frequency response of 200Hz to 10kHz.

Zippered Storage: The Rogue's earcups can swivel and lay flat so you can store the headphones and cables in the 9-1/2" x 8" cloth pouch. The pouch has a large sturdy zipper for secure closure.

Bought these for my daughter to use in the car and have to say I love them. She can listen to her music without me having to hear it too. I couldn't be happier.

Pros: They are extremely comfortable on her ears even with earrings. The sound quality has been great and love the noise reduction.

Cons: Could be more portable

Yeaaaaaa!!!!!!!!!! Thanks Crutchfield my new replacement headphones came yesterday (Friday) I can't wait to put them back on. I feel like tyrese in the coca- cola commercial what ever I'm playing on my iPhone people just nod their heads to what im listening to. I've even had them (dre. By beats people) take their headphones off because you can hear what I'm listening to people be trying to give me competition with my BOOM rogue's they better ask somebody if they don't know!!!!!!!!

I just might order the black & white or the all black for the winter just to give me some variety in color.

Thanks again Crutchfield

Pros: Da bomb

Cons: None !!!!!!!!!

Pros: The bomb!!!!!!!! I have people singing to whatever I'm listening too. I feel like Tyrese in the coca-cola commercial on the bus. They are nice ear muffs in the winter & you can hear every note. Guess I gotta buy black&white

I ordered a pair and within a week a hairline crack formed near the hinges for the ears. I have a wide head. I don't fully extend the headphones because vertically they fit fine. They just don't stretch horizontally very well. Crutchfield sent me a new pair and normal use resulted in another hairline crack. I'm just going to deal with it now, they still work for the most part. Worth the money though.

Pros: Great bass, coiled and straight aux cables

Cons: Brittle plastic

Great surprize

I was hesitant to try these at first but loved the price point. As soon as they arrived I tried them out and believe they are comparable to higher end models. However, my three teenagers will not give them back. Everyone just loves to use these.

Pros: Price, quality, sound, comfort

Cons: A little large

Wow! All I can say is that these headphones kick some serious ass! Finally I can listen to music comfortable and hear the highs, mids, and lows how they were intended. The soft case is an added bonus that allows for easy portability and storage.

All that said I typically go through a pair of headphones every couple months....the build quality and sound quality are fantastic.

Would I buy these again? In a heart beat. Would I recommend these to a friend? Without a doubt.

Pros: bass, build quality, design, comfort
