From the review Beats Executive headphones: Bold sound and noise cancelation in a sleek new design

"Beats is extending its reach, with a new upscale design geared toward frequent travelers. But don't make the mistake of thinking Beats is just interested in creating status symbols. Their previous models boast impressive sound quality, and the new Executive further refines the Beats sound for a performance as cool as their sophisticated new look."

Beats are too executive

Written By JesCD, Tulsa, Ok on Sunday, March 03, 2013

With these headphones they are nothing short of great. I have had this pair for about 3 months and the sound quality is absolutely amazing.

Pros: *Sound quality ia fantastic. *Cosmetic build is very resilient. *The comfortability I would say its like wrapping a cloud of music around your head. *The noise reduction isnt the best but the music being halfway cranked nobody will get through to you. *As of coolness wearing these over your ears will sure make you a head turner. *Comepletely worth the buy and I can strongly recommend these headphones to anyone looking for phenomenal sound.

Cons: *If the sound is set below 40% the noise cancelation isnt as good. *You can make fingerprints really easily. I will say the cloth that came with it does a great job of getting rid of the smudges.

Great Headphones

These headphones are great. I could not ask for any more. The sound quality is amazing and the build quality is second to none. The "hiss" that everybody is complaining about is unnoticable when your music is above 60%. These headphones are made out of mostly aluminum, which makes them have a great feel. Also, when the volume is above 50%, nothing can be heard while the headphones are on. Plus, the sound does not leak nearly as much as the studios. I would highly recomend these headphones to anybody. Overall great headphones.

Pros: Build quality, sound quality, sound isolation, not much sound leakage

Cons: Slightly noticable hiss

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

I have Bose noise canceling headphones. The design is terrible. I sent them back three times in the first year. They still broke! I decided to try Dr. Dre. I have been waisting years of my life listening to only Bose. The beats are far above Bose in many ways. Better design& sound quality! The only thing lacking is the noise cancellation. You hear "white noise." But the quality of the sound far out weighs that one fault. Good bye Bose.

Pros: Design. Sound quality. Bass response. Cool factor!

Cons: Noise canceling

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

While the sound is fine, the noise cancelling is worthless. After 2 pairs ordered online and then 1 from Crutchfield it became obvious that they were not "defective", but were just worthless for noise cancellation. The noise cancellation was basically loud static. You then had to turn the volume up louder to have the music drown out the "noise cancelling" static! Horrible!!!!

Switched to Beats "Studio" and love them!!!

Pros: Look nice.

Cons: Noise cancelling is horrible and too much static. All of this for a LARGE price tag too!! Bad deal.

Oh yes, I'll take two!

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

I'm used to turning the sound up LOUD to drown out background noise. With these puppies, I can listen to the music softly, and all the background noise is gone!! Makes me feel like I'm in the eye of the hurricane at all times. I'm a believer.

Pros: Outstanding sound clarity with awesome noise reduction. The background noise is still there, it's just become irrelevant.

Cons: I'd like to get a set with the brushed metal surface coated flat black, to decrease visibility at times.
