The original Beats Solo® HD headphones by Dr. Dre are a familiar sight just about anywhere people listen to music. Now, Beats has improved on this design and developed the Solo2. These headphones offer improved sound and build quality while maintaining a compact, on-ear design. The new acoustic design of the Solo2 headphones offers more clarity and dynamic range than the originals. A sleeker, more streamlined design not only looks cool, it also offers improved comfort thanks to a more flexible headband and cushy earpads. Naturally, the Solo2 delivers the deep, rumbling bass that made Beats and Dr. Dre major players in the headphone business from Day 1.
RemoteTalk™ cable keeps you in control of calls and music
Plug the Solo2's RemoteTalk cable into your smartphone, and use the built-in remote and microphone to control your music and take calls. Made for the iPhone® and other iOS® devices, the remote lets you play and pause music, skip tracks, and adjust the volume. The remote and mic also work with Android™ and most types of smartphones, offering call answer, hang up, and basic music controls.
The lightweight, durable Solo2 headphones are meant for taking on the go. The new earcup design ensures they rest snugly against your ears to help keep out external noise when you're on a crowded street or subway train. When you're not listening, the folding design allows you to slide them into the included carrying case for safekeeping.
From our Beats Solo2 headphones review:
If you think Beats headphones are just about brain-rattling bass, you should give the Solo2 headphones a listen. Yes, they offer bold low-frequency impact. But they also have good midrange presence and nice high-frequency detail. They offer more clarity across the entire frequency spectrum than the previous Solo HD headphones.
