Building on the success of Beats Studio™ headphones, Grammy-winning hip-hop producer Dr. Dre set out to create ultra-portable headphones with that same powerful sound. The result: the Beats Tour. By improving upon the original design, the Beats team crafted the Tour to deliver detailed sound with plenty of tight bass that hip-hop and rock lovers will appreciate.
A remote built into the Tour's cable lets you control music playback and take calls with most smartphones, including Apple® and Android™ devices. The remote's built-in microphone ensures clear call quality. The flat cable resists tangles, so you don't have to deal with a knotted mess every time you pull these headphones out of your pocket or bag.
The Tour includes four sets of eartips — three pairs of cone tips and one pair of flange tips — to help you get the right in-ear fit. This helps you get great sound with plenty of deep bass response while also blocking out external noise. There are also three pairs of "wingtips" — flexible extenders that keep these headphones securely in your ears when you're on the go.
Pros: Great sound
Cons: Ear buds use tonbe softer
A gift for our daughter's 13th birthday. She's been asking for quite some time. One of the hottest gifts for her birthday this year. Haven't used them personally but based on her reaction we recommend them. Looks like we won't need the 60 day return policy, which was the main reason I chose Crutchfield as the price was the same everywhere.
Pros: Multiple sizes of ear tips let you customize the comfort. Seals out background noise well.
Cons: None reported.
i bought these off my friend for $90 and they sound really good. they have really good bass. thats what i liked about them. they sound good with even country music! wich i love. and theyre built really good. if you have them cranked up, you can feel the bass in you ears. it sounds like your in a vehicle with really good door speakers, and subwoofers! no lie.
Pros: looks cool, tough, almost tangle free haah. thick cord, tremendous bass you can feel, but it sounds clear!
Cons: pricey. and thats it!
I don't claim to be an audiophile so I can't elaborate on it's sound qualities, but I'm satisfied with how the lows are reproduced when I play R&B and hip hop songs. Despite what some YouTube reviewers claim, the authentic ones sound better and have a better build quality than the counterfeit ones. I mistakenly purchased a fake pair before I bought ones from Crutchfield so I had a chance to compare the two. You truly get what you pay for.
Pros: The wires have a discrete, flat profile and doesn't easily tangle; The earpieces have a unique design that stands out with a brushed aluminum logo; There are extra ear buds and an around the ear attachment that makes the earphones configurable for different uses
Cons: The price is a bit steep for earphones given the many alternatives on the market; The cords are bright red and scream, "Steal me because I'm Beats By Dre Tours" so you have to keep track of them like a good pair of sunglasses
I received them a week a go , the left speaker stop working for no reason at all. Never been pull or anything like it, only use is to watch movies on the tents.
Pros: Good sound quality
Cons: quality is terrible.
Great headphones but bad design
Pros: Good quality sound
Cons: Does not stay in ears. Keep falling out
If you listen to rap, electronic or metal with heavy double-drumming and bass lines, these IEH's will do ya just fine. If you're like me, a Classic Rock fan, my $30 JVC IEH's do a better job overall. Having said that, the sound clarity on all my music is much better with the Beats Tour IEH's. Great on the highs and mids. I listen to a lot of audiobooks as well, and they sound better as well. Again, the bass is ok, but I expected much, much better bass for all my music on my iPod for what I paid for these IEH's. Yes, I could change my settings on my iPod, but to get bass that way I have to give up the clarity of the high-end sounds. Next time I look for a high-end IEH buy I'll look into a pair that match my musical taste and do some hands-on testing, not just an internet buy.
Pros: Great highs and clarity. Tips fit snugly. This is not my first rodeo with IEH's ( listen to my iPod 7 days a week, at least 6 hours a day for the past 5 years). I've gone through many, many similarly built IEH's, and these fit as well as any of the other I've purchsed. Good noise reduction when seated properly.
Cons: No significant improvement over cheaper IEH's on the bass, which is what I bought these for. Probably great for rap-only listening., but I hate rap.
These aren't as bad as folks make them out to be. I won't bother reciting all the different pairs of headphone/ear speakers I have as it isn't necessary. Quite a few pair cost more than a brand new tricked out iMac! The point is these sound quite good for what they do and that is provide clear sound based off of whatever source you feed through them. If the audio sounds or of poor quality of sampled in an overly compressed manner guess what? Thats what it will sound like! Also you have to place them in the ear canal properly to get a good clean sound with accurate timbre and proper imaging. Play with EQ settings to get suitable results. You have to use them properly to get the intended results. If you require less effort and dedication in an ear bud please look someplace else and stop writing bad reviews. As always with such devices as this it's results depend on the knowledge and abilities of it users!
Pros: Very good sound, visual appeal, plenty of tip choices. Feel substantial.
Cons: Picky about EQ settings. Will fall out of ear if tips aren't chosen well. Source material matters! Bassy music is bassy poorly recorded jazz or classical will sound distorted or thin, screechy. These ear buds don't lie! If it's poor sounding poorly recorded music that what you'll hear. Beware of this!!!
Great sound i enjoyed them so far
Honestly, I knew immediately that the bass on these was nothing special and a big disappointment. I am glad for the return policy.
Pros: Looks good out of the box
Cons: Too expensive for the sound quality
I am disappointed in these headphones. I thought that I was getting some superior product based on the price (and the fact that someone stole the first set I had delivered during shipment) but I must say these are lackluster. They don't stay in my ears very well, they only sound decent if I hold them in my ears (kinda defeats the purpose) and yes I switched out the earpieces to try different sizes, still no luck. Furthermore the sound quality is no better that the headphones that came with my BlackBerry. I firmly believe that you get what you pay for but that didn't ring true with these.
Pros: easily untangled cord, easy to wrap up and store
Cons: sound is average, interchangeable earpieces are hard to remove and replace, needs additional support to stay in place, not that great for the price
Excelent product I can hear everything clear and perfect great product.
The Tour beats have great audio quality and has worked perfectly with my iPhone. I can control my music, phone calls, sirius-xm app, all easily and effectively.
Pros: Good quality, easy to use with iPhone. Receive lots of complements.
Cons: Price, the thick cable gets caught on jackets or sweatshirts that have zippers.
I bought these headphones knowing that it would not function as well on an android phone as much as an iphone, but the sound quality really made my decision easier.
these look great, but sound? Very disappointing! My stock blackberry headphones sound almost the same. Have studios too and they are a bit better. Still way over priced for the quality.
WOW just took them out of the box!!!!!! So far they are great. work very well
with my old Iphone sound is awesome. If your looking for a mid priced ear bud
then try them you will love them to. I have the on right now writing this revue.

Overview: The Beats Tour by Dr. Dre are high performance in-ear headphones with a newly-designed custom fit with Secure Fit Wingtips that hold the earphones in place. The unique tangle-free flat cable includes an in-line 3-button remote/microphone. Included in the package are four pairs of ear tips, three pairs of Secure Fit Wingtips, and a zippered storage case.
Cable: The 48" cable is ultra-flexible and flat so it won't get tangled. The low-friction rubberized jacket deadens sound caused by contact, so you'll hear only the music as you move about. The cable terminates into a super-slim 3.5mm plug that will work with most smartphone cases.
In-line Remote/Microphone: The in-line remote and microphone are fully compatible with most Apple devices, including iPod nano (4th generation or later), iPod classic (120GB and 160GB), iPod touch (2nd generation or later), iPhone (3GS or later), and iPad. The remote is compatible with iPod shuffle (3rd generation or later), and audio is supported by all iPod and iPad models. The remote is also partially compatible (play/pause, answer/end calls, and voice commands) with Android, Blackberry, and HTC devices.
Note: Full compatibility includes the following functions: Play/pause, Skip forward/backward, Scan forward/backward, Answer/End calls, Voice command, and Volume control.
Secure Fit Wingtips: The included Secure Fit Wingtips fit onto the earphone behind the ear tip. They come in three sizes--large, medium, and small. The wingtips are designed to rest up against the concha of your ear to provide a more secure and comfortable fit, especially when used during vigorous activities. Unlike the ear tips, the Secure Fit Wingtips are designed specifically for the left or right earphone. The Tour earphones can also be used without the wingtips, if desired.
Ear Tip Assortment: The Tour in-ear headphones include an assortment of soft rubber ear tips. There are three sizes of ear tips (large, medium, and small), and one pair of flanged ear tips. One pair (medium) comes installed on the earphones, while the others are stored in a vinyl folder with a snap closure.
