Overview: The Pivothead Mem-Vac Pro is a device for
downloading content from your Pivothead Video Recording Eyewear to a USB Flash
Drive. The Mem-Vac can vacuum (copy, then delete) all of the files from the
glasses quickly and easily, freeing up space in the memory for the next
recording session. In addition, the device provides a 5V 1A DC output for
charging the glasses.
Power Requirements: The Mem-Vac Pro can operate on AC or DC
power, and includes an AC adapter and DC charger. This allows you to transfer
files at the home or office, and in the field. It is compatible with the
Refuel Power 4000 and the
Power Pro Refuel 8000, so you can use it when you're not near a power
source. A 2-port DC charger is included to charge two pairs of glasses
USB Ports: There are three Type A USB ports: Ports 1 and 2
can be used for connecting the Pivothead eyewear, while Port 3 is for plugging
in a USB Flash Drive for storing your media files. You can transfer files from
two Pivothead units simultaneously.
LCD Screen: The unit features a two-line LCD screen to
display the menu.
Controls: The Mem-Vac Pro has a 4-button control panel. The
arrow buttons allow you to maneuver up and down in the menu, while the O and X
buttons let you make your menu selections or exit from the menu.
Memory Monitor: The unit can calculate and display the
amount of remaining memory in any of the Pivothead glasses or in a connected USB
Firmware Updates: Occasionally, the firmware of the Mem-Vac
Pro needs to be updated. When new firmware becomes available, you can copy the
new firmware onto a USB Flash Drive and connect the drive to the Mem-Vac Pro.
The menu provides an option for updating the firmware.
