With the Korus V600 portable powered speaker system, wireless audio is about as simple as it can get. You don't have to download an app, program your devices or do anything complicated. Just insert one of the included Korus Baton audio transmitters into your iPhone®, iPod touch®, or iPad® (both 30-pin and Lightning® connector Batons are included). The Baton has all the software necessary to stream audio from your device to the V600. Within seconds, you're enjoying everything you can play on your Apple device with great sound — stored music, Internet radio, game sound effects, video soundtracks, and online music services.
The Korus V600 features an angled speaker array for a wide soundstage.
The Baton can stream to as many as four Korus speakers simultaneously. And if your friend wants to share some music from their Apple portable? Just pass a Baton.
The system also comes with a USB Baton, so you can stream directly from your computer.
The V600's array of high-performance speakers creates an expansive sound field. Stereo tweeters and drivers are angled outward to fill your room with sound. In the center of the cabinet is a beefy woofer to deliver full-range sound with deep bass response. Side-firing tweeters expand the soundstage even further.
The key to the V600's robust sound is an innovative acoustic signature called LiveStage™, which projects a multi-dimensional image, placing vocals to the front and accompanying instruments further back in the sound field. You'll enjoy crystal-clear, distortion-free sound at any volume level. And with a built-in 100 watt amplifier, the V600 can definitely get loud.

There's plenty to like about the Korus system.
"The convenience bests Bluetooth easily, and the audio quality is top-notch; being able to rapidly flip from source to source and even move the speakers around."

Patented SKAA® wireless technology offers exceptional sound quality while creating a stable connection with your Korus speaker to prevent drop-outs. And it can do so at a range of up to 65 feet. It also carries control commands from the Baton to the V600.
When connected to the Baton (not shown), which includes its own built-in software, your Apple portable can stream simultaneously to up to 4 V600s
The polished surfaces and clean lines of the V600 make it a handsome addition to any room's décor. The brushed aluminum control panel provides a smart visual accent, and makes the buttons easy to find and use. An integrated rear handle lets you conveniently carry the system from room to room.
For portable music you can power the system with 6 “D” cell batteries. The ultra-efficient V600 can actually deliver up to 90 hours of continuous battery-powered operation.
I was seeking a speaker system that was scalable and easy to use for a non-profit organization. The need required playing digital music and PA System for a hall that seats 150. I emailed Korus asking questions in regards to my requirement which I don't believe I ever received a reply. I decided to order just one. The V600 is beautiful! Right out of the box it was quickly up and running once my tablet recognized it and loaded drivers via PNP. I am about to test how this would work with a wireless mic as a pa system. I know I can do this on one speaker via direct connect on the 3.5mm input, but I found that when you have input in the jack, the speaker would not sync with the usb baton. As soon as the jack was removed, the sync worked again. I'm planning on playing with PA apps to see if I can broadcast over the air to multiple speakers. If this works, I will be back for a second one. Plenty of power and great sound in the facility.
Pros: Easy to use, nice looking unit, very portable, and great sound.
Cons: If Korus did respond and my spam caught it, sorry, but I did not see any response from my original email.
The Korus V600 is AMAZING! Love the sound quality and how easy it is to use.
Sound quality excellent. Some advantages: has its own wireless network don't depend on home wireless system, operating range of about 60 feet, can add up to three more speakers and up to 10 sources. V600 can operate on batteries for portability.
I Plan to use unit with iPAD mini, iPhone and MAC laptop.
Set up for first audio source was very simple. I had some difficulty adding second and third sources. Customer service was excellent over the phone after waiting a little bit to get through. They stayed with me until the problem was solved. Had to call in a second expert whom they said would call back in 30 minutes and he did. In retrospect problem was probably caused by hitting buttons incorrectly and not knowing how t properly reset to factory settings and restart.
Couple of suggested improvements: Technical service phone number or email not in the instruction manual nor on web site until you register the product online. The manual could be a little clearer, e.g. to reset to factory settings must push a button six times. What is not stated but I found out from their tech service is you must push button very quickly six times.
Pros: See above
Cons: Manual clarity
LiveStage Acoustic Signature Sound: The Korus V600 wireless powered speaker is designed with a unique and innovative acoustic signature called LiveStage that projects a multi-dimensional sound platform with the vocals up front and other instruments, like guitars and drums, placed in back. As a result, the V600 provides greater depth to your music with a richer, more dynamic sound. The V600 speaker employs two front-firing tweeters and mid-range drivers for stereo separation, one center subwoofer for low-end bass, and two side-firing tweeters for a wide soundfield. Its 100-watt amplifier and dual front-firing ports ensure you can play your music loud and clear. The system has a frequency response of 80-20,000Hz.
Patented SKAA Wireless Technology: The Korus V600 powered speaker uses patented SKAA wireless audio technology to prevent clicks, pops, and, dropouts of your music so you hear exactly what you should without any interruption. Compared to Bluetooth wireless speakers that can sometimes drop their signal, causing the music to stutter, lag, or even stop completely. SKAA wireless technology also delivers exceptional audio clarity and detail over greater distances (up to 65') than Bluetooth, so you can roam further from the V600 speaker and still keep your music playing. SKAA wireless audio technology can stream your music at up to 480 kbps bit-rate.
Variety of Audio Sources: The Korus V600 speakers allows you to wirelessly stream music from your Windows/Mac computer or Apple iPod/iPhone/iPad devices (30-pin or Lightning) using the included proprietary "Baton" wireless audio transmitters. You'll be able to wirelessly stream stored music and music apps from your compatible Apple device or Windows/Mac computer to the Korus V600. The V600 also includes a 3.5mm auxiliary input for a wired connection.
Note: A total of 10 Baton wireless audio transmitters (3 included, others sold separately) can be connected to the Korus V600 speaker. You can switch between Batons at the speaker.
Korus App: Download the free Korus Volume Control app onto your Apple iPod touch, iPhone, or iPad (running iOS 5.0+) for volume control from the touchscreen of your Apple device. The Korus app allows you to independently control the volume level on 1 to 4 speakers, or use a master control to adjust the volume level for a group of speakers together. The app also allows you to name each Baton and each speaker something that is meaningful to you.
Note: Music navigation and song/artist information display will still be done through your Apple device or laptop/computer, not the Korus app or powered speaker.
Multi-Room System Capability: Add more Korus wireless speakers (sold separately) and build your own multi-room audio system in your home. Each Baton can stream the same song from your compatible Apple device to as many as four Korus speakers simultaneously with perfect synchronization. Put four speakers in one room, or spread your Korus system throughout your home; place a speaker in the kitchen, in the living room, the bedroom, bathroom, etc.. You can reconfigure multiple Korus speakers to work together or separately with the touch of a button on the speaker.
Charge Your Apple Device: Keep the music playing while you charge your iPod touch, iPad, or iPhone (30-pin or Lightning). The Korus includes two 40" USB Charging Cable that plug into the Batons on one end of your Apple devices and into any standard USB power adapter or computer port on the other end. The pass-through charging keeps your device powered while you stream audio to the Korus V600 speaker. It is the perfect solution for extended listening sessions. Additional charging cables (847CHGCBLE, sold separately) can be purchased.
Note: The USB charging cable does not support data sync operation between your Apple device and your computer. During charging, the USB charge cable can impact wireless range between your Apple device and the Korus speaker up to 30%.
Compact Design w/ Carry Handle: The Korus V600's compact design fits almost anywhere; your kitchen counter top, office desk, den shelf, or bedroom night table. And the convenient integrated handle makes it easy to move the speaker when desired. The integrated carry handle can also be used to wrap excess power cord when used next to a power outlet.
Battery + AC Power: The Korus V600 wireless powered speaker operates off of standard household current using the supplied 5' detachable AC power cord. It also operates on battery power, using 6 "D" batteries (sold separately) for up to 90 hours.
