About the JBL PRX718XLF
Gut-pounding bass
Gut-pounding bass
You'll add real impact to your performance when you add a JBL PRX718XLF subwoofer or two to your PA system. A single PRX718XLF powered sub delivers up to 1,500 watts to its 18" woofer, producing 134 dB of sound pressure — that's enough power to fill a small club or auditorium with wall-shaking bass. If you're a church performer, a working band, or a DJ, you can create a compact full-range PA system capable of handling medium-sized clubs and venues by adding a pair of these powerful subs to a set of PRX710, PRX712, or PRX715 powered speakers.
Rugged road-tested components
PRX718XLF with grille removed
The 18" low-frequency driver in the PRX718XLF is the same one that JBL uses in its top-of-the-line concert arrays. This Differential Drive® subwoofer puts out high-powered bass with low distortion, having proven its toughness on the road by standing up to years of touring. A built-in dynamic limiter by dbx ensures that an unexpected overload won't damage the sub.
JBL used tongue-and-groove construction to build this solid poplar enclosure, then coated it with their tough DuraFlex™ finish. You can be sure this sub will survive the normal bumps and bangs of life on the road and play reliably on the job every night. The enclosure even features a pole socket so you can mount your mid/high PA speaker above the sub on a standard speaker pole, for a smaller onstage footprint and better audience coverage.

Features
Powered Sub: The JBL PRX715XLF is a high performance self-powered subwoofer system. The PRX715XLF is comprised of a powerful 18" Differential Drive dual voice-coil and magnetic gap, woofer driven by a 1500-watt (750 watts RMS) Class-D power amplifier.
Rugged Enclosure: The PRX710'e enclosure is built from a combination of 25mm (on the top and bottom for added rigidity) and 18mm, strong, light-weight poplar plywood made structurally sound with tongue and groove joints. The cabinet is protected by JBL's tour proven DuraFlex finish and 16AWG steel grille. Light-weight glass-filled nylon handles ensure portability.
Combo-Connector: Two combo-connector (Channel 1/2) accept input signal from XLR and 1/4" line-level sources.
Loop-Thru/High-Pass: Two XLR outputs provide either a loop-thru or a high-passed, line-level output of the signal input from Channel 1 and 2.
Polarity Switch: Normal or reverse polarity can be switched for matching to varied sub/satellite system configurations.
LED Indicators: Signal present and limiter lights indicate the system status and assist in setting the optimum level via the level control knob.
Pole Receptacle: A pole receptacle on the top-panel of the powered sub accepts JBL's SS4-BK or SS4-BK24 pole mount (sold separately).
