About the SpeakerCraft Ruckus 6 One
Rockin' sound in the garden
Ruckus landscape speakers look and sound great in gardens, backyards, flower beds and any other natural outdoor environment. The rock-inspired enclosures are made of reinforced poly-resin that matches the color of the speaker's weather-resistant lacquer coating. The result is a stone finish that, even if chipped or scratched, will expose the same color and texture underneath. The coaxial design pairs a 6-1/2" poly woofer with a 1/2" dome tweeter, offering smooth frequency response from deep low notes all the way up to the high end. Outdoor Landscape Speaker: The SpeakerCraft Ruckus 6 outdoor, landscape speaker is the perfect choice for gardens, backyards, flower beds, and any other natural outdoor environments. This "rock"-style enclosures is made of reinforced poly-resin that matches the color of the U.V. weather-resistant lacquer coating that covers the speaker. The result is a stone finish that, even if chipped or marred, will simply expose the same color and texture underneath. This means the speaker will look good and sound good for years to come.
Two-Way Coaxial Speaker System: The SpeakerCraft Ruckus 6 outdoor, landscape speaker features a 0.5" polyamide dome tweeter that coaxially mounted to a 6.5" polypropylene cone woofer with rubber surround. The woofer's basket is made from a special weatherproof nylon that prevents the magnet from rusting. Rubber spiders in the polypropylene woofer seal the tweeter posts and keep water and moisture from entering the voice coil. Even the wiring inside the speakers are coated with silicone rubber to prevent corrosion. This two-way coaxial driver system produces higher fidelity sound and greater sound pressure levels for the outdoors.
Speaker Wire: The Ruckus 6 outdoor, landscape speaker has a 24" two-conductor cable exiting the bottom of the speaker. This cable should be connected to a similar cable (sold separately) run to the speaker location from your audio system. SpeakerCraft recommends using certified direct burial cable (sold separately) that is ideal for this purpose. The cable can be run either directly beneath the speaker into the ground, or you can use the notch on the bottom of the cabinet to exit the cable out the side.
Anti-Theft Ring: The Ruckus 6 outdoor, landscape speaker includes an integrated anti-theft ring located at the bottom of the cabinet. This ring will allow you to attach a security harness (sold separately) to it.
Speaker Placement: Ideally, you should place the speaker as close to the primary listening area as possible. The perceived volume of the speaker decreases rapidly as it is moved further from the listener. If you desire music over a wide area, it is best to have a larger number of speakers playing at low volume, rather than a few speakers playing at high volume; keep this in mind when designing your outdoor system.

Good sound. Easy to get set up. May need to get an outdoor subwoofer to add more bass, but haven't decided yet. Great price!
