About the Wet Sounds HT-1
Built for boating
Built for boating
Designed by boaters for boaters, Wet Sounds built their Hydro-Tech™ amps for use in the often-harsh marine environment. A conformal-coated circuit board, a sealed, salt-water resistant heat sink, and stainless steel hardware ensure that your amp will stand up to salt, spray, high temperatures, and high volume levels for seasons to come.
Wet Sounds HT-1 marine subwoofer amplifier
A powerful sub amp
The Wet Sounds HT-1 amp packs a lot of punch into a compact package. This Class D mono sub amplifier can deliver up to 600 watts RMS to your marine subs, so you'll have plenty of low-end punch when you're out on the high seas. The amp's control panel includes a low-pass crossover, bass boost, and phase switch, so you can fine-tune your sub to make your music sound the way you want it to.
For added flexibility, the HT-1 includes a wired remote control knob that makes it easy to adjust your sub's volume level from the helm.
Get the look you like
Because every boat installation (not to mention every boater) is unique, these amps let you create a great-sounding system that suits your boat — and your style. If you want to show off your gear, you can paint the accent stripes and removable wiring and control covers to match your boat's color combination. You can also place the backlit logo badge horizontally or vertically.

Features
Marine Amplifier: The Wet Sounds Hydro-Tech series amplifiers, with conformal coated PCBs, are specifically designed for marine applications. However, the amps are not waterproof, and should not be mounted where they are likely to get wet.
Mounting Feet: Using the included mounting feet adds approximately 1/2" to the height of the amp, but allows you to hide the wiring under the chassis.
Logo: The Wet Sounds logo mounts over the status LED, on the top of the amp. It can be mounted vertically or horizontally.
End Covers: There are removable covers on both ends of the amp to help protect the controls and connections. The covers can be painted.
Note: A 3mm Allen wrench (not included) is needed to remove the covers. They must be removed during the installation.
Wired Remote: A wired remote level control is included. The remote has integrated flanges and screws are included to mount the unit under the dash. A 16-1/4' cable is attached to connect to the amplifier.
Note: The wired remote measures approximately 1-3/4" wide (2-1/2" including the mounting flanges) x 1" tall x 1-5/8" deep (2-1/4" including the knob and cable).
Controls
Control Panel Cover: All the controls are protected by a rubber cover to help keep them dry.
Gain: The input gain is a continuously variable rotary control; 200 mV to 5 V.
Crossover: The low pass crossover point is adjustable from 50 Hz to 250 Hz. Because the HT-1 is a subwoofer amp, the crossover is always engaged.
Phase: The output phase is switchable; 0° or 180°.
Bass Boost: The bass boost, centered at 45 Hz, is continuously variable from 0 dB (flat) to +18 dB.
Connections
Power Terminal Block: The amplifier has a power/ground terminal block that detaches from the amplifier, making it easier to connect the power and ground wires. Once the connections are made, the terminal block plugs into the amplifier. The power/ground block has set screw terminals and will accept 4 gauge wire.
Speaker Terminal Block: The speaker terminal block is also detachable from the amplifier. The speaker block has set screw terminals for two speakers (internally wired in parallel) and the remote turn-on lead; each will accept 12-16 gauge wire.
Preamp Inputs: The amplifier has one pair of RCA jack inputs.
Preamp Outputs: There is also one pair of pass-through preamp outputs, making it easy to connect another amplifier without running an extra set of RCA cables.
Remote Level Control: The included wired remote plugs into a 3.5mm mini-plug.
Fuses: The amplifier is protected by two 25-amp ATO blade-type fuses.
