Built for boating

Designed by boaters for boaters, Wet Sounds Hydro Tech™ amps are made for the harsh marine environment. A conformal-coated circuit board, a sealed, salt-water resistant heat sink, and stainless steel hardware ensure that your amp will stand up to salt, spray, high temperatures, and high volume levels for seasons to come.

A powerful six-channel amp

The Wet Sounds HT-6 amp packs a lot of punch into a compact package.  This Class D full-range amplifier can be configured to run almost any speaker combination — from multiple speakers and tower set-ups to high-powered subwoofers. With a bass boost and high- and low-pass filters on all channels, you'll be able to fine-tune your system to get the sound you want.

The HT-6 also lets you enjoy the convenience of RCA input summing. With this handy feature, you can attach one set of RCA's to drive all channels, separate the amp into two RCA inputs, or use all three RCA inputs -- all without the need for RCA Y-adapters.

Get the look you like

Because every boat installation (not to mention every boater) is unique, this marine amp lets you create a great-sounding system that suits your boat -- and your style. Removable power/ground and speaker wire plugs are a big help if you install your amp in a tight location, while snap-on mounting feet allow you to run wiring under the amp so more exposed installations look clean and neat.

If you want to show off your gear, you can paint the accent stripes and/or the removable wiring and control covers to match your boat's color combination. You can even place the backlit logo badge that horizontally or vertically.

Perfect cockpit power supply

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

Perfect power supply for my 6 internal cockpit 6.5" wet sounds led speakers. Compartment stays mostly dry, but it's never bad to be safe. Fabrication is second to none, and worth the money.

Pros: Water tight construction and great power output

Cons: Wasn't part of the factory stereo

Great Amp

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

I am in the process of upgrading my boat sound system from factory standard. Having heard the Wet Sounds equipment, it is a high quality product that produces great sound. I am not as young as some, and not looking for that crazy loud experience, but this is still plenty loud and very clear. I have paired this with Wet Sounds XS-650. By the end of this year, I will add a pair of Icon 8's, but very pleased with the sound quality so far.

Pros: -Easy install and set up -Great sound - not as power hungry as some

Cons: Expensive (good sound quality but it better last. Only time will tell)

Marine Amplifier: The Wet Sounds Hydro-Tech series amplifiers, with conformal coated PCBs, are specifically designed for marine applications. However, the amps are not waterproof, and should not be mounted where they are likely to get wet.

6-Channel Amp: The HT-6 is a 6-channel amplifier, basically three 2-channel amps in one chassis. The inputs, outputs, and controls are labeled CH1/CH2, CH3/CH4, and CH5/CH6.

Mounting Feet: Using the included mounting feet adds approximately 1/2" to the height of the amp, but allows you to hide the wiring under the chassis.

Logo: The Wet Sounds logo mounts over the status LED, on the top of the amp. It can be mounted vertically or horizontally.

End Covers: There are removable covers on both ends of the amp to help protect the controls and connections. The covers can be painted.

Note: A 3mm Allen wrench (not included) is needed to remove the covers. They must be removed during the installation.

Control Panel Cover: All the controls are protected by a rubber cover to help keep them dry.

Input: When only using one pair of the RCA inputs, set the Input switch to 2CH. When using four or six RCA inputs, set the Input switch to 4CH.

Input CH5/6: Set to On when using all six RCA inputs. When set to Off, the CH5/CH6 signal is identical to the CH1/CH2 input.

Gain: Each pair of channels has independent gain controls, continuously variable rotary controls; 200 mV to 5 V.

Crossover: Each pair of channels has independent crossover controls. Each 12 dB/octave crossover can be set to low pass, high pass, or full (crossover is bypassed and the amp output is full range). The crossover points are adjustable from 50 Hz to 250 Hz.

Bass Boost: Each pair of channels has independent bass boost controls; all centered at 45 Hz, they are continuously variable from 0 dB (flat) to +12 dB.

Power Terminal Block: The amplifier has a power/ground terminal block that detaches from the amplifier, making it easier to connect the power and ground wires. Once the connections are made, the terminal block plugs into the amplifier. The power/ground block has set screw terminals and will accept 4 gauge wire.

Speaker Terminal Blocks: The speaker terminal blocks also detach from the amplifier. One speaker block has set screw terminals for two speakers and the remote turn-on lead, the other two have set screw terminals for two speakers each. All the terminals will accept 12-16 gauge wire.

Preamp Inputs: The amplifier has three pair of RCA jack inputs.

Note: The preamp inputs are extended 5" from the amp on pigtail wires.

Fuses: The amplifier is protected by two 30-amp ATO blade-type fuses.
