Overview: With the Celestron PowerTank portable rechargeable power supply, you can take your computerized or motor-driven telescope virtually anywhere. In addition, you can power or charge your electronic devices, including your phone, music player, or portable GPS. The PowerTank also includes an emergency light, bright LED spotlight, and booster terminals for starting your car if it has a weak battery. The PowerTank weighs 8.4 pounds.
Built-in Battery: The PowerTank contains an internal 12-volt, 7 Amp-hour rechargeable lead-acid battery. It charges in approximately 8 to 10 hours during normal use, however, the initial charge should be 14-16 hours. The included 110V/220V switchable universal AC adapter has four adapter plugs, including those for the United States, United Kingdom, Europe, and Australia. Four LED battery indicators are provided to show when the battery is Fully Charged, Charging, Needs Charging, or Ready to Use. For safety, the PowerTank has a 10A circuit breaker and a 2A fuse.
Outputs: The PowerTank provides two 12-volt 10-amp cigarette lighter ports, each with a sliding cover. Celestron computerized and motor-driven telescopes are powered through these outputs, using the included 11.5' power cords. (The DC power cords have a cigarette lighter adapter on one end and a barrel-type DC power connector on the other end.) Also included are two Type A USB ports (5-volt, 1.5-amp output) that can be used for charging small electronic devices, such as cell phones, digital music players, and digital cameras. Two screw-type booster terminals are provided on the back that allow you to use the PowerTank as a vehicle starting aid, when the vehicle's battery is partially discharged. It is not designed to start a vehicle with a completely dead battery.
Flashlight/Spotlight: The Celestron PowerTank can be used as an emergency roadside accessory. It has a standard flashlight with a 4.8-volt Krypton bulb with a 3-way push button switch with constant on, flashing, and off positions. It includes a red filter cap that can be used for emergency purposes. The PowerTank also includes a large, powerful spotlight with 30 bright white LEDs. The head of the spotlight can tilt over 90 degrees to one of nine positions.
Storage Compartment: The PowerTank includes a storage area that can be used for power cords and adapters. The compartment is 4.675" x 1.75" x 1" with a hinged door.

Excellent device for camping/boating and powering a telescope. Can run a 12v fan / hair dryer and mattress pump. The item can charge your USB devices. Great flashlight red and white light. you can charge the power tank via car 12v system or wall outlet.
