Plug Celestron's Handheld Digital Microscope Pro into your PC or Mac®, and view the world up-close on your computer's display. This compact microscope features a high-quality glass lens and built-in 5-megapixel CMOS image sensor for capturing high-resolution photos and videos of your specimens. Use it with the included height-adjustable stand for a steady work platform in the lab or classroom, or take it off the stand for portable hand-held applications in the field. Since it's USB powered, you can use it anywhere your laptop computer can go.
The included, feature-rich Celestron software lets you save images of your subjects, add notes or draw on them, record time-lapse animations, and more. The supplied calibration ruler even allows you to make accurate measurements of your specimens.
The microscope's 20-200X magnification zoom range provides a highly detailed view of bugs, plants, gems, skin, stamps, and coins — just to name a few. The manual focus wheel allows you to zero in on your subjects quickly and easily. And a ring of eight adjustable-brightness LEDs in the base of the 'scope provides smooth, even illumination of your subjects for a clear, revealing view.

Overview: The Handheld Digital Microscope Pro by Celestron is a small, portable microscope with an attached 55" USB 2.0 cable. It has a 20x to 200x magnification, and has a built-in 5 MP digital camera for capturing photos or videos of your subject. The microscope comes with a 2-piece professional microscope stand, and is ideal for viewing insects, plants, rocks, coins, stamps, and more.
Optics: The microscope is equipped with a 5 element IR cut, high-quality glass lens with the equivalent focal length of 15.8mm.
Built-in Digital Camera: The Digital Microscope Pro has a 5 MP color CMOS image sensor. It can take digital still images as well as record VGA video at 30 fps. Digital still images can be set to the following resolutions: 5MP (2592 x 1944), 3MP (2048 x 1546), 2MP (1600 x 1200), and 1.3MP (1280 x 960). Images can be interpolated up to 12 MP. The shutter release is located on the USB cable attached to the microscope.
LED Illumination Ring: The microscope has a ring of 8 white LEDs surrounding the lens to illuminate your subject. The intensity of the illumination can be adjusted using the Illuminator Adjustment wheel, located on the attached USB cable.
Focus Wheel: The large focus wheel on the side of the microscope adjusts the magnification and brings your subject into sharp focus. It has a range of 10mm to infinity.
Software: The Digital Microscope Pro comes with Celestron Micro Capture PRO software on CD-ROM. The software allows you to view images on your computer. It can also help you capture photos and videos of your subjects. Micro Capture PRO is compatible with Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows 7, and Windows 8, as well as Mac OS X 10.6 to 10.8.
Power Requirements: The Handheld Digital Microscope Pro is powered by USB. The attached 55" USB cable has a Type A USB plug, and will provide power when it is plugged into a computer.
