Overview: The Celestron Regal M2 65ED is a high-quality spotting scope with advanced features. It has 16-48x magnification with a 65mm objective lens that gives you razor sharp images. It is recommended for bird watching, nature observing, long distance viewing, and casual astronomical viewing. The lightweight magnesium alloy body is approximately 14% lighter than previous models. The Regal M2 is fully waterproof and nitrogen-purged to prevent fogging. It is tripod-mountable, and comes with a sturdy zippered carrying case.

Dual Focus System: The Regal M2's dual focusing system includes a coarse and a fine focus knob. You can turn the coarse focus knob until the object is clearly visible, then adjust the fine focus, located in front of the coarse knob, until the image in the eyepiece is clear and sharp.

Optics: The spotting scope is equipped with Extra-low Dispersion (ED) glass, usually found on more expensive scopes. Fully multi-coated optics and a BaK-4 prism provide great image detail and brighter images, even in low light. The Regal M2's 16-48x zoom eyepiece gives you a wide field of view for locating your subject, then zooming in close. It has a twist-up eyecup to let you position your eye properly with or without eyeglasses. The scope has a standard 1.25" eyepiece mount, which allows you to swap out the supplied eyepiece for a variety astronomical eyepieces.

T-Adapter: You can quickly convert the Regal M2 into a photographic scope with the included T-adapter. The T-adapter is threaded, and will accept a special T-Ring for DSLR or film cameras from Nikon or Canon.

Built-in Lens Hood: The Regal M2 has a sliding lens hood built onto the objective end to keep out stray light, and to protect the objective lens. It has a sighting line along the outer edge to help you find your subject. The sliding lens hood extends out approximately 3/4" when in use.
