Overview: The Echelon Series 10x70 binocular by Celestron is designed for low light viewing, including objects in the night sky. It is hand-assembled in the USA from high-quality Japanese optics. The 10x70 comes with a neck strap, rainguard, objective lens caps, and a waterproof hard carrying case.
BaK-4 Prisms: The 10x70 binocular includes high quality BaK-4 prisms and fully multi-coated optics for great image detail, and brighter images, even in low light. All air-to-glass surfaces are multi-coated using Celestron's proprietary XLT coating technology.
Waterproof: The 10x70 model has an aluminum alloy body with a rubberized armor which keeps water out and gives you a firm, non-slip grip. The binocular is nitrogen-purged to prevent internal fogging.
Individual Eye Focusing System: This Echelon Series 10x70 binocular has separate +/-4 diopters on each eyepiece, allowing you to rotate each eyepiece to set the proper focus for your right and left eye. Once set, you should be able to instantly focus at infinity, which is the standard distance desired for long distance viewing.
Tripod Adaptable: The 10x70 binocular has built-in threads that allows the unit to be mounted to a tripod, using an optional tripod adapter. Mounting the binocular to a tripod makes it easier to use during extended observing sessions, and if you're sharing the binocular with others.
