Overview: The Clare Controls Amp.14150 incorporates seven matched two-channel Class D amplifiers which combine to deliver seven zones of clean audio performance for distribution of music throughout your home or office. The 14-channel amplifier provides incredible power and superior sound in a compact, installer friendly chassis.
14-Channel Class D Amp: The Amp.14150 uses Class D amplifier technology which runs cooler and is more efficient (>90%) than traditional Class A/B amps. The Clare Controls Amp.14150 amplifier is rated at 150 watts (RMS) x 14 channels in 8Ω or 300 watts (Peak) x 14 channels in 4Ω.
Two Independent Feedback Loops: The use of two independent feedback loops allow the Amp.14150 to provide lower distortion, less noise on output, a frequency response less dependent on load, and lower output impedance than other Class D amps. The result is a natural, relaxed and dynamic sound with excellent stereo perspective and a tightly controlled precise bass that will do justice to all your music sources.
7 Zone Inputs w/ Gain Control: The Amp.14150 features seven stereo RCA inputs to connect up to seven different audio sources. Each pair of channel inputs has its own gain adjustment.
Global Switching: The Global input (stereo RCA) allows output of the same stereo audio source to be amplified across all channels of the amplifier which are set to "Global" for easy multi-room applications. You can use the Global gain to control the maximum output for all Global channels at once. The Global output (stereo RCA) allows the Global input of the amplifier to be sent to another amplifier in your system.
Speaker Terminals: Each speaker connection features a removable Phoenix-style connector that accommodates 18 to 14-gauge stranded speaker wire.
Trigger Input: The amplifier can be triggered to turn-on via the 12VDC trigger input (3.5mm) on the rear of the amplifier. This allows the amp to remain in Standby mode until it is required for used, thereby greatly reducing overall power consumption.
Protection Circuits: The Amp.14150 implements a total of nine independent protection circuits, monitoring the temperature, current and voltage of several different functional blocks, assuring uninterrupted music until maximum limits are reached.
Switched-Mode Power Supply: Using technologies designed by ICEpower, a subsidiary of Bang & Olufsen, the Amp.14150 uses an advanced switched-mode power supply that consumes less than 0.2W in standby.
Rack-Mountable: The Amp.14150 comes with a pair of rack ears and hardware to mount the 14-channel amplifier in your rack system. The Amp.14150 takes up 2U rackmount spaces.
