Overview: The Insteon Outdoor On/Off plug-in module is a simple way to remotely control any electrical device inside or outside your home. It is designed to link with any Insteon controller and turn a plug-in device on or off at the touch of a button. The module is protected by a sturdy polycarbonate housing that is resistant to UV rays, so it will last for years in harsh outdoor conditions.

Uses: The Outdoor On/Off module can be used for fountain pumps, outdoor lighting, and other electrical appliances that are installed out of doors. It can control standard incandescent loads up to 1800 Watts and inductive loads up to 15 Amps.

Installation: The Insteon Outdoor On/Off module should be plugged into an unswitched wall outlet. The module should be allowed to hang down from the outlet so that the module's outlet is facing downward. The load that is plugged into the module should be left in the On position. There is a Set button beside the outlet that can be used for local control, if needed, and an LED to indicate the module's status.

Insteon Setup: The dual-band Outdoor On/Off module is part of an Insteon system, which uses existing power wires in the home and radio frequencies (RF) to add remote control and automation to lighting, appliance, and home control applications. Other applications include door and window security, motion and leak sensing, and garage door control. Through the free Insteon for Hub app, you can control individual devices or groups of devices wirelessly from virtually anywhere.
