Features
Overview: The Insteon Plug-in On/Off Module plugs into a standard 3-pronged receptacle, and can be used to control a non-dimming lamp (including most compact fluorescents and LEDs), fans, space heaters, or other plug-in device. You can control the device remotely, or use the side-mounted controls to turn on/off locally. This dual-band On/Off module transmits and receives Insteon commands over the power line or via RF signals, and can also be used as an access point.
Compatibility: The On/Off Module can be used as a stand-alone local on/off switch, or act as an add-on module for the Insteon Starter Kit or any other kit that includes the Insteon hub. It can also be linked to various Insteon sensors, such as the Motion Sensor, and can turn on/off the connected lamp when a signal is received from the sensor. Insteon is a home control and automation system that uses RF (radio frequency) and/or existing power wires in your home to communicate between the sensors and the Hub, and uses Wi-Fi to communicate to the user's smartphone or tablet using the free Insteon for Hub app, or HouseLinc for your PC. You can control the lamps or appliances that are plugged into the module from wherever you are via your mobile device.
