The dockStubz has a female Lightning connector at one end that fits over your system's dock. The other end has a male Lightning connector designed to fit through the opening in virtually any iPhone case. So you can leave your iPhone 5 in its protective case and dock it with your system. An additional spacer is included to ensure the dockStubz makes a stable connection.

This is a must-have for anyone who uses an iHome that has an Otterbox on their iOS device. Shipping was fast, and it worked phenomenally. Found it somewhat more helpful to use it backwards when docking my iPhone 6.
