Tired of shouting? Samson designed the Expedition Express system for a variety of uses ranging from music listening to presentations, education, and fitness classes. This small, portable PA system features a rechargable battery with up to 8 hours of battery life, giving you plenty of time for your talk, class, or event. The Express features Bluetooth connectivity for streaming music from your smartphone or compatible portable player, as well as a wired dynamic microphone to amplify your voice. And this powerful speaker is just over a foot tall and weighs only 10 pounds.
In the mix
The unit features a 3-channel mixer with separate level controls which allow you to combine a channel for a mic (1/4" or XLR input), a channel for line-level devices (1/4" input), and a channel for Bluetooth streaming. The Bluetooth channel also includes a minijack input so you can connect non-Bluetooth devices directly. The Express also includes a line out which allows you to daisy-chain additional Express units. The 2-band EQ allows you to adjust the overall tone of the system, and the built-in amplifier sends 30 watts to the two speakers.
Whether you're giving a talk, teaching a class, leading a fitness session, or just enjoying your tunes, the Expedition Express has what you need. Express yourself!

Features
Rechargeable Portable PA System: Samson's Expedition Express Rechargeable Portable PA is packed with incredible features, including Bluetooth connectivity and a built-in 3-channel mixer. It also comes complete with a wired handheld dynamic microphone for delivering impromptu performances and professional presentations in any environment. Such versatility, combined with clean, crisp audio, makes the Expedition Express an all-in-one solution for classrooms, conferences, tour groups, parties, as well as a variety of outdoor applications (not weather-resistant).
Two-Way Speaker Design: Ensuring pristine, full-range sound, the Expedition Express employs a 2-way speaker design with a 6" woofer and a 1" high frequency driver. Both drivers are powered by the same internal 30-watt amplifier.
3-Channel Mixer: The unit's 3-channel mixer features multiple input options with separate level controls. You're able to connect a variety of devices such as microphone, instrument, and line level devices.
- Mic/Line Input: Use this combo connector (XLR or 1/4") input for microphone or a line signals.
- Instrument Input: This 1/4" input is used to connect instrument or line level signals.
- Aux Input: This is a 3.5mm input for connecting an external line-level audio device, such as your portable audio player.
Bluetooth Audio Streaming: In addition to its wired connectivity, the Samson Expedition Express offers built-in Bluetooth for wireless music streaming. You'll be able to stream stored music and music apps from your Bluetooth-enabled Apple iPod/iPhone/iPad, Android smartphone/tablet, Blackberry, Windows PC, Mac Computer, and more to the portable PA system.
2-Band EQ: A 2-band EQ (Bass and Treble control) on the master output allows you to tweak your sound to appropriately match your specific setting and audience.
Line Out: The Expedition Express also has a 1/4" Line Out to cascade multiple systems together and expand your sound.
Integrated Carry Handle: The Expedition Express is extremely lightweight (only 10.5lbs) and even offers a convenient integrated top carry handle.
Mounting Options: The Expedition Express provides three different mounting options for your specific situation.
- Table-Top: For smaller settings, the speaker can be placed vertically on a table or desk.
- Floor: When using the speaker on the floor, or when the speaker is below the listener, the Expedition Express features a monitor angle position to project the sound up, towards the audience.
- Speaker Stand (optional): For maximum sound coverage the Expedition Express can be used with a standard 1-3/8" speaker stand. The speaker should be raised above the heads of the listening audience. Take care when placing the speaker on a stand, to ensure that it is on a level, steady surface and will not tip over.
Rechargeable Battery: Its internal rechargeable battery offers a minimum eight hours of continuous use. The Expedition Express can also be powered by the included AC adaptor for continuous audio. The AC power adapter also recharges the system's built-in battery. Charging takes approximately 4-6 hours.
Dynamic Microphone: Samson's Expedition Express Rechargeable Portable PA system includes a wired handheld dynamic microphone with a detachable 11' mic cable. Follow these steps to minimize the likelihood of feedback between the speaker enclosure and the microphone.
- Avoid pointing the microphone directly at the speaker. In general it is recommended that the microphone be positioned behind the speaker enclosure.
- Keep the microphone as far from the speaker enclosure as possible. This will help achieve isolation between the speaker and the microphone.
- Position the microphone as close to the sound source as possible. This will enable the microphone to pick up more direct sound, and allow you to reduce the microphone input gain control.
- Reduce the overall level of the speaker.
