The Escape's controls are simple and straightforward.
You can play music wirelessly from your smartphone or compatible device to the Escape from as far as 50 feet away. The built-in USB port allows you to charge your phones and other devices while enjoying the music.
Means of escape
The Escape's rugged enclosure houses a 6" woofer and a 1" tweeter that'll give you full-range reproduction of your music. It also includes a handy carrying handle for ease of transport, and a 1-3/8" socket for a pole stand. The integrated 2-channel mixer includes one 3.5mm input for portable audio devices, one 1/4" input for microphones, and a separate volume control that mixes the microphone's signal with the program material from your streaming devices.
The Escape gives you the freedom to take your music anywhere you can carry an 8-1/2 pound speaker package. It's ready to take you anywhere you want to go.

Rechargeable Portable PA System: Samson's Expedition Escape Rechargeable Portable PA is packed with incredible features, including Bluetooth connectivity and a built-in 2-channel mixer. Such versatility, combined with clean, crisp audio, makes the Expedition Escape an all-in-one solution for classrooms, conferences, tour groups, parties, as well as a variety of outdoor applications (not weather-resistant).
Two-Way Speaker Design: Ensuring pristine, full-range sound, the Expedition Escape employs a 2-way speaker design with a 6" woofer and a 1" high frequency driver. Both drivers are powered by the same internal 15-watt amplifier.
2-Channel Mixer: The unit's 2-channel mixer features multiple input options with separate level controls. You're able to connect a variety of devices such as microphone and line level devices.
- Mic Input: Use this 1/4" input for connecting a microphone. The mic input offers an independent volume control.
- Aux Input: This is a 3.5mm input for connecting an external line-level audio device, such as your portable audio player.
Bluetooth Audio Streaming: In addition to its wired connectivity, the Samson Expedition Escape offers built-in Bluetooth for wireless music streaming. You'll be able to stream stored music and music apps from your Bluetooth-enabled Apple iPod/iPhone/iPad, Android smartphone/tablet, Blackberry, Windows PC, Mac Computer, and more to the portable PA system.
USB Charging Port: You can also use its built-in USB port (5V/0.5A) to charge phones and tablets while simultaneously enjoying music.
Rechargeable Battery: Its internal rechargeable battery offers a maximum of 20 hours of continuous use. The Expedition Escape can also be powered by the integrated AC power supply and detachable AC power cord for continuous audio. The AC power supply also recharges the system's built-in battery. Charging takes approximately 8 hours.
Mounting Options: The Expedition Escape provides three different mounting options for your specific situation.
- Table-Top: For smaller settings, the speaker can be placed vertically on a table or desk.
- Floor: When using the speaker on the floor, or when the speaker is below the listener, the Expedition Escape features a monitor angle position to project the sound up, towards the audience.
- Speaker Stand (optional): For maximum sound coverage the Expedition Escape can be used with a standard 1-3/8" speaker stand. The speaker should be raised above the heads of the listening audience. Take care when placing the speaker on a stand, to ensure that it is on a level, steady surface and will not tip over.
Integrated Carry Handle: The Expedition Escape is extremely lightweight (only 8.5 lbs) and even offers a convenient integrated top carry handle.
