Overview: The Universal Car Remote from iKeyless.com is a single remote that can replace your vehicle's OEM broken or lost remote. The remote works for over 1000 vehicle models, including 16 of the top 20 most popular vehicles, from 20 major car brands. This single remote covers over 18 years of vehicles from 1997 through 2014, and contains the codes of 215 different remotes.

It is built in the USA with state-of-the-art electronics that require fewer parts on the circuit board. It is equipped with an ultra-low-power microprocessor and transmitter, so the battery lasts longer than the manufacturer's remote. With a unique integrated PCB Trace Antenna design, the transmitter signal is clearer with a longer range than the OEM range. The remote maintains a high level of security, supporting industry standard encryption for HT2 (48-bit), HT3 (96-bit) and AES (128-bit). The Universal Car Remote is water resistant, due to the integrated silicone button pad that extends completely to the edges of the case. The remote is powered by a single CR1632 Lithium coin cell battery.

Remote Operation: The 6-button Universal Car Remote is designed to work on vehicles with factory-installed remote keyless entry systems. If you are not certain your vehicle has a factory-installed keyless entry system, you should check with your local dealership. The remote is designed to work exactly like the original factory remote. Some vehicles require holding certain buttons for up to 3 seconds or to be pressed twice before the feature operates. A blue status LED indicates when a button is pressed, and when the remote is in activation mode. The remote has the following buttons:

• Lock: Locks the vehicle doors.
• Unlock: Unlocks the vehicle doors.
• Panic: Sounds the factory alarm panic alert (if equipped)
• Trunk: Releases the vehicle trunk (if equipped)
• Function Buttons: Two buttons (marked I and II) are for such functions as power sliding doors or powered convertible top, if equipped.

Activation and Pairing: Before using the Universal Car Remote, you must first activate the remote, then pair it to your vehicle by following a sequence of steps. To complete the pairing sequence, you must have at least one working key which can start the vehicle. In some cases (Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep), also require one existing working remote paired to the vehicle to complete the pairing sequence.
