Bluetooth and more for your boat

Using a Bluetooth device to stream music on a boat doesn't mean going without the features you're used to in your car or truck. Fusion's MS-BT100 Bluetooth audio module lets you enjoy your favorite music, plus you'll get to see track name, artist and song info displayed on the screen of your Fusion marine receiver.

The MS-BT200 connects to the satellite radio connector of select Fusion marine receivers. The Data Display function lets you play, pause and skip tracks directly from your Fusion stereo, and the graphics will let you see what you're hearing.

With a range of approximately 33 feet, you can enjoy seamless streaming from almost anywhere on your boat, while Direct Media Device Control lets you choose songs, albums, artists or playlists from your portable device.

Built to last, inside and out

This marine-rated module is certified IP65 water resistant, so it's totally prepared for wind, water, and waves. Voltage spikes happen on a boat from time to time, but this module features special protection circuitry which ensures that you'll enjoy your music no matter what.

Works with select Fusion stereos

The MS-BT200 module streams audio from any A2DP Bluetooth-capable Apple, Android, Windows, Blackberry or other device when connected to Fusion's MS-IP700, MS-IP700i, MS-AV700, MS-AV700i and MS-RA205 marine receivers. This module uses the satellite connection on your Fusion marine receiver, so you can't connect your satellite radio tuner too. You can opt for the MS-BT100 module to enjoy Bluetooth audio streaming.

Important Note: A software upgrade is required to access the functionality of the MS-BT200. Data display will vary depending on your media device. Your streaming range will vary according to obstructions on your boat.

Product Research

Features

Marine Certified: The Fusion MS-BT200 is a marine grade Bluetooth audio module. Its certified IP65 water resistant and tested for the marine environment. What separates the MS-BT200 apart from other Bluetooth modules is the integrated marine voltage protection, which is engineered specifically to protect against voltage spikes. This added protection ensures no disruption to your listening pleasure.

Compatibility: The MS-BT200 is designed to connect to the Fusion MS-IP700, MS-IP700i, MS-AV700, MS-AV700i, and MS-RA205 only via the SiriusXM Satellite Radio connector of the unit.

Bluetooth Music Streaming: The MS-BT200 Bluetooth v3.0 module streams audio (including stored music and music apps) from any A2DP/AVRCP Bluetooth capable Apple, Android, Windows, Blackberry or other device directly to your paired Fusion marine stereo. Make sure to select the "Satellite Radio" input as the source for Bluetooth playback. With an effective range of 10 Mtrs (33ft), you can enjoy seamless streaming of your favorite audio tracks without having to return to the stereo to change tracks. Effective range measured in a straight line, range will differ depending on placement of the Bluetooth module and obstructions.

  • Pairing: Before you can wireless stream music from your Bluetooth-enabled mobile device, you will first need to "pair" it with the MS-BT200. The MS-BT200 can only be paired with one device at a time.
  • Controls: The MS-BT200 allows you to control basic playback functions of your streaming music from your compatible Fusion marine stereo. Playback functions include Play, Pause, Previous Track, and Next Track.
  • Song/Artist Info: The MS-BT200 lets you view song/artist information from your compatible Fusion marine stereo LCD screen.

Note: The MS-BT200 only supports wireless audio streaming and does not offer any type of wireless hands-free phone communication.

Auto On/Off: The MS-BT200 will be powered on and off when your Fusion marine head unit is powered on and off.

Single Cable Connection: The MS-BT200 features an attached 5' proprietary cable terminated by an 10-pin connector which plugs into the SiriusXM Satellite Radio connector of your compatible Fusion marine stereo. This one cable delivers audio, control, and display info to your compatible Fusion receiver; as well as provides power for the MS-BT200 Bluetooth module.

Mounting Options: It is recommended that the MS-BT200 Bluetooth module is mounted in an elevated position as far away from metal work as possible to ensure maximum range for Bluetooth audio streaming. Any barrier between the MS-BT200 and your streaming device will reduce the range. The MS-BT200 can be secured by either using adhesive backing tape or by using a single non-corrosive screw (not included).

It will not work but the universal version can connect to one of the aux inputs on the Clarion. Here it is: www.crutchfield.com/p_917BT100/item.html My Bio: https://www.crutchfield.com/bio/Paul

Q
if i plug this into the satellite radio input will i loose siriusXM function?
lewis  Sep 12, 2017

A
Not sure I understand the question, but what I can tell you is that my Fusion boat radio is Blue Tooth via this part and I play my sirius XM through my phone (via Blue Tooth), since I pay the extra couple of bucks for sirius phone service. I also play sirius through my phone via my Sonos at home. This saves me from getting a separate subscription for the boat and house. Hope this helps.

Believe it is only for a Fusion Marine head unit

I know it's not listed as one of the models but mine is a ms-ra200 not 205. Does this model not support mine?
amir  Jun 08, 2016

A
Sorry, no. The adapter is not backwards compatible with the MS-RA200 stereo. That stereo offers the older Sirius DC connect interface and the adapter only works with the newer models which offer the SiriusXM capability. I hope that helps. My Bio: http://www.crutchfield.com/Support/Bio.aspx?bio=5

Q
I'm looking for a bluetooth adapter for my old Kenwood DNX-5120. Seems like Kenwood has discontinued their add on bluetooth adapters. Really hoping this will work with the DNX-5120. Can anyone help with this? Thanks!
eric  Dec 23, 2015

A
The Fusion MS-BT200 connects to the satellite radio input on select FUSION marine receivers, so that wouldn't work on your Kenwood DNX-5120. However we carry this Milennia MIL-BTREC adapter that works with any head unit that has an RCA/analog audio input: http://www.crutchfield.com/p_822BTREC/Milennia-MIL-BTREC.html?tp=61776 That would likely be a better option for your Kenwood unit.
