The water-resistant design complies with ASTM standards for UV stability and salt/fog resistance, so this 400-watt (max) sub will pump out crisp, accurate bass even during prolonged exposure to the elements. As part of Fusion's True Marine line, the MS-SW10 is backed by a 3-year warranty.

True Marine: Fusion describes these speakers as True Marine Accredited, meaning they are designed specifically for the marine environment and backed by Fusion's 3 year warranty. They are water resistant and are tested to ensure they meet or surpass ASTM-D4329 (UV stability) and ASTM-B117 (salt/fog resistance) standards.

Drain Channel: The speaker frame and grille have an integrated drain channel to allow water to escape from the front of the cone area.

Do you need an amplifier to power the subwoofer, or can you wire them straight to the head unit?

400 watt sub needs a 400 watt amp. You do need a amp to power this sub. Head unit does not have enough power

You will need an amp. for full sound, I have the 1600 amp unit Fusion makes.Works great. Good luck
