Audiofly has a reputation for making accurate-sounding headphones. From their shop in Perth, Australia, they craft in-ear monitors tuned to give musicians and music lovers rich and pure sound. I spent some time with Audiofly's earbuds and quickly became a big fan. They brought a breath of fresh air to some of my old favorites. Details lost on me over the years were suddenly present again through the Audiofly 'phones.
The AF180 in-ear monitors are the company's flagship model, with an impressive quad-driver system packed into each earbud. Highs, lows, and mids each get meticulous attention from four balanced armature drivers. Your music will sound well-spaced with rich and absolutely radiant detail.
Incredible comfort and noise isolation
While built for stage monitoring and reference listening, you can listen to the AF180 earbuds anywhere. The included ear tips make them comfortable enough for everyday use, even on the go. With nine pairs in all — three sizes of dome-shaped silicone gel tips, three sizes of tri-flange silicone tips, and three sizes of Comply™ memory foam tips —you should be able to find a set that fits great. The foam tips are not only snug and cozy, but they also create a tight seal that keeps noise out.
These 'phones have understated style too. A brown leather wallet keeps all your ear tips together neatly. It also houses the included 1/4" adapter and cleaning tool.
Detachable, durable cable
The AF180's headphone cable can be detached from each earpiece. When connected, it wraps around your ear to stay out of your face, whether you're on stage, walking around, or relaxing. The cords from each earpiece are tightly woven and meet at a heavy-duty plastic Y-splitter. From there, the cable is jacketed for extra protection. Even if you never actually go on tour, you'll have headphones that can handle the rough-and-tumble road life.

Overview: The Audiofly AF180 in-ear monitors are designed for the professional musician and serious listeners. These high quality earphones, designed in Australia, are equipped with quad balanced armature drivers with a crossover for greater detail. The AF180s come in Stone Blue with 9 pairs of ear tips, 1/4-inch and airline adapters, and a leather storage wallet.
Driver Configuration: The AF180s feature four balanced armature drivers for each ear--two for the bass, and two for the mids and highs. A passive crossover splits the audio signal and routes it to the appropriate driver. This design delivers powerful lows with ultimate detail in the mids and highs.
Audioflex SL Cable: The headphones have a 64" twisted Audioflex SL cable that is able to withstand the rigors of everyday listening. Near the ear tips, the cable is tightly twisted, but slender -- only 1/16 of an inch thick. From the heavy duty splitter to the right-angled 3.5mm gold-plated plug, the cable is wrapped with tough Cordura fabric which helps keep it from tangling and eliminates contact noise. The Audioflex SL cable is removable so you can replace it with another if your cable becomes damaged.
Ear Tip Selection: The AF180s come with nine pairs of ear tips and a moldable over-ear cable guide to tailor your fit. You can choose from dome silicon tips, tri-flange silicon tips, and Comply Premium Earphone tips with memory foam, each in small, medium, and large sizes.
Included Accessories: The AF180s come with the following accessories:
- Airline Adapter: This adapter lets you use your in-ear monitors for in-flight entertainment. It has a female 3.5mm jack and dual male 3.5mm plugs.
